I have been looking for a new fragrance for myself. After days of searching, I decided on this one. It smells amazing. I would describe it as a sweet and romantic scent, but not too overwhelming. This is perfect for Fall, Winter and maybe even Spring, since this scent is kind of on a warmer side. The lasting power is pretty good, but could be better... If you are thinking about buying a new fragrance, I recommend you taking few trips to the Mall. Test out different ones on your arms. And let them sink in because everyone has different body scent that will create unique scents with various perfumes. Narrow down what you like little by little that way!
I recently purchased this item after my MAC tinted moisturizer ran out. My skin is kind of oily, but during the winter time, it gets dry. So this BB cream is perfect. It feels very moisturizing but does a good job with oil control even after a whole day. It also gives a better coverage than a lot of other BB creams out there. Downside is that it is expensive. I paid about $39 at Sephora for a 1oz bottle. (good for traveling though!)
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720

I love this bronzer. It is matte, so none of those glitters that some other bronzers have! The color goes on great. The packaging though looks bit cheap.
I have been looking for a clay mask that could take away all the dirt in my pore. This definitely does that and it tightens my skin and leaves it soft and fresh. The price isn't bad for how natural LUSH's products are. I often start with a facial wash, then use Mask of Magnaminty, and finish with a sheet mask as my basic facial routine.
Love how natural LUSH's products are. This exfoliate my skin yet it is very gentle. I can tell how soft my skin feels after using this.
Before this, I have used lots of make-up removers: neutrogena, lancome, sonia kashuk, olay...etc. I was introduced to this by a Japanese friend. She swears by this product and I wanted to give it a shot too. Oh my goodness, I LOVE this! It is so easy to use, I just pour some product on my clean hand and rub all over my dry face. No need for cotton pads or Qtips. It takes away foundation, eye make-up, even water proof mascara (which I always find it really tough to take off with other products, especially because I want to be gentle around my eyes). I do use another face wash after this cleansing oil to make sure nothing (oil or makeup) is left behind. I really like this product. It is so much cheaper than MAC or any other oil cleanser and it is also a very well known Japanese brand. I will be purchasing this again and again!
I think all Queen Helene's facial scrubs are essentially the same. The difference is the scent. I have this one and the oatmeal and honey one. I like this scent so much better than the honey one. But they both makes my skin feel soft and smooth after using. Just be sure to be gentle when you massage your face. Last thing is the packaging isn't really made to use in the shower because the cap tends to hold water. Other than that, great line of product and very affordable!
Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof

I had high expectation for this. My lashes do seem soft and full. Definitely gives a natural look. If your lashes are naturally curled, then this would be great for you. But it didn't hold up curls for my straight lashes. And the look wasn't very dramatic either. The Falsies and Colossal waterproof worked a lot better for me. I also didn't like the big brush it came with...
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara

I have been using the Colossal waterproof mascara for months and finally decided to give this one a shot. I have to say that I like the Falsies's brush better, it is easier to work with and less clumpy. The look it gives is a lot of length and volume. They both keep the my straight lashes curled but hard to take off at the end of the day. You just have to be careful and be patient with it. Overall, I really like the falsies. It makes my lashes look natural, neat, and long. I like using it on my bottom lashes as well.
Moisturizers -Shiseido - White Lucent Brightening Moisturizing Emulsion

I got mine from TJ MAXX for like 30 bucks which is way cheaper than then original price. I don't why some people don't like this product. I really do. I find it very moisturizing, and it absorbs into my skin very quickly. I have oil/combination skin. It doesn't break me out at all. The only thing is... I use Lancome Genifique under this, so I don't which product exactly brightened my skin. But I definitely see a difference in my skin.
Tinted Moisturizer -MAC - Studio Moisture Tint SPF15
fychen 2/23/2011 10:21:00 AM
I have been using this product for about a month now. I use it pretty much everyday after I apply suncream. I like how light it feels on my skin, it is also very moisturizing. The product absorbs quickly, so my face doesn't feel all sticky. The lasting power and oil control power are pretty good as well. The coverage is very sheer though. I noticed that if I apply this with a stippling brush, the coverage is especially sheer. But if I apply with my fingers, it gives me just a little more coverage. So far I like this TM way better than Korres's and maybe even laura mercier's oil free TM.
I also received a sample of this product after purchasing some a Lancome foundation. I have to say I really like Genifique! I saw a difference in my skin, and I think I am only half way through the little bottle they gave me. My skin just feels smoother, more radiant, and tighter, especially in the mornings when I wake up. But this product is Very expensive... But it might be worth it : )
Makeup Brushes -Coastal Scents - Duo Fiber Stippling Brush

I am very disappointed with this brush. It sheds so badly. Every time I use it, it would leave those black brush hair on my face. It's pretty annoying. Also, it only works with very watery foundations or tinted moisturizers. Anything thick this brush is no good. I brought it because it was cheaper than other brands I found. But I don't think it's worth it at all..
Eye Primer -Victoria's Secret - Pro Lasting FX Eyeshadow Primer
fychen 1/17/2011 2:03:00 PM
The texture is kinda grainy for some reason. When I am applying it onto my eye lids, it kinda scratches my skin, which is not comfortable. When I squeeze the tube, more oil comes out than the actual product which is a little gross. But it does make my eye shadows lasting longer, though I don't think it makes the eye shadow colors more vibrant or anything.
Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target - Up & Up Makeup Remover
fychen 1/17/2011 1:49:00 PM
This makeup remover isn't bad. I would buy it again. But I recently switched to Neutrogena. And i think it works better than the Up&Up, even though it is a little bit more expensive.
