Highlighters -E.L.F. - Shimmer Facial Whip in Spotlight

I am reviewing this as an eyeshadow base. This is the perfect base for gold, silver, and shimmery colors! Even the hideous Sparkling Gold by Revlon looks amazing after using this as a base. I took a star off because this is a horrible face highlighter. Its way too pasty and oily, also its so hard to blend it in to look natural. The biggest issue when blending this in is that it blends so blotchy, so in some areas it'll be very heavy and in others you'll hardly have any product at all. Since it has a silver tone it looks ghastly unless you manage to blend it in. On the plus it works amazing as an eye highlighter/base. Its only a dollar so I reccomend, but not as a cheek/face highlighter. It reminds me of Illamasqua's Illuminator, but pastier hehe. I am happy though because this is the perfect gold eyeshadow base, try it and you'll be surprised how true to pan your golds will be.
Shampoo -John Frieda - Luxurious Volume Full Clarity Purifying Shampoo

I love this shampoo so much! I bought it while at big lots, for $2.50...really cheap. The first time I used this I noticed that my hair felt thicker, and the biggest plus for me is that it wasn't drying at all. Ultimately it gave my hair volume, not dry frizzy volume, actual thick hair volume. My only complaint is that when I bought these the container was leaking product everywhere, I almost threw them out, thankfully I didn't. Amazing shampoo, and awesome price. Lastly, I think the smell is ok, not my favorite but I didn't buy it to make my hair smell like perfume :).
finally ! A cheap concealer that comes in deeper shades than other drugstore concealers. I am really impressed at how natural this looks to conceal under eye darkness, I am NC-42 so i picked up the shade medium. This shade is about 1 shade lighter than my skin tone which makes it perfect to brighten up any darkness. Goodbye white ring around eyes and no more putting foundation over the concealer to darken it =]. I also love how nicely this blends, it is quite creamy and doesn't tug on the skin when applied directly. This cost me $5 , so very affordable. I was about to buy a NARS stick concealer since they have my shade as well, but after finding this I think I won't need to. Great product, and a lifesaver for us tan and dark skinned people =).
I really like this liquid eyeliner, it is very pigmented, and I find the applicator quite easy to use. I am very new to using liquid eyeliners so finding one that has an applicator that isn't overly flimsy or way too stiff is a challenge. This one has a decent applicator, it didn't leave dreadful smudges on my lids and even if it did, it wipes away easily while its still wet. The lasting power is average, it doesn't flake away, but I could see it easily fading throughout the day. Still, I like it alot and would repurchase :).
Ok so I was really excited when I saw this because the medium shade is darker than any other stick concealers that I own which is great because I am very tan and I need a dark, not too dark concealer that won't leave a hideous white ring around my eyes. However, this product is quite bad even considering it was only $2. For starters, it is so hard, even when I use a concealer brush its really hard to get any product on. I can't imagine swiping this under my eyes ! Also this does not blend in well at all, instead it balls up and flakes if u try to blend it in too much. The biggest downfall is the lasting power. By the time I finished my face routine, I couldn't even see any brightening under my eyes and everything showed through. I don't recommend using this as a concealer, maybe as a primer, but it's still not that great. I won't be buying this again, maybe the Milani stick concealers will be better...
I love Tropic, it is one of those eyeshadows that just stands out when you're looking at all the NARS shadows. Its so glittery and the color is just gorgeous. Its a teal blue shadow, that is covered in glitter...atleast in the pan :P. It is definitely leaning towards being more matte because the color swatches with glitter flying everywhere that basically it'll be matte on the lids. Nonetheless its gorgeous and if u have a good base I'm sure the glitter will stay put because it does stick initially, then just flies away. I will probably repurchase this again if I ever run out. :)
One of the most popular products of NARS is the infamous Orgasm blush. With a name like this, its expected for it to be well, amazing. The color is a pink with some peach tones in it, the NARS website describes it as a peachy pink with shimmer. Ultimately, this shade is very universal in my opinion, its not a really bright pink so it won't give a clown effect, and its not overly warm, so fair skin tones can wear this too. Be careful when applying because this does have shimmer in it, and will make your face look too glittery if you use too much. I personally think its the perfect blush color. Seriously, this color is amazing, its what I think of when I think of blush. It applies quite pigmented so use a light hand with this. As with all NARS blushes, they are very finely milled and of the highest quality. This blush is a must!
Eyeliner -Revlon - SPARKLING GOLD Perle Eye Shadow

Agggghhh! This is so chunky, and the color, I would hardly call gold...anyhow moving on, this is crap. My skin is quite dark, so any shadows have to be quite pigmented in order to show up, but this isn't. It is so sheer and powdery looking. I would take it back, but I lost the receipt so I'm stuck with this crap :\.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational Pearl - Sugared Almond

I don't know where to start with this color. Its such a waste of money, all you get is frost. Given that I absolutely hate shimmer/frosty lips I hated this. Seriously tired of lipsticks that are beautiful colors, but when applied are basically shimmer. Yuck, just buy a lipgloss, it might even have more color than this. No won't buy again, and returned it.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Palette--#247 Pride [DISCONTINUED]

This is some of the best drugstore eyeshadow hands down. There is hardly anything at a drugstore that isn't overloaded with glitter and shimmer, so finding matte eyeshadow's is a plus on its own. Additionally, finding eyeshadow's that are well pigmented at a drugstore, is a frustrating task too. These however, have the latter. They're rich and last long. The colors are a mix of 3 matte and 3 shimmer, so creating looks with this will be easy. This also is really cheap so try it out, its about $5 so its not expensive and you get 6 colors.
I actually like this little brush alot for precise application. It is really small so its quite a long process if you're using this for under eye concealing. However, it works perfectly to conceal any small pimples or blemishes since it allows for a controlled application. The quality is really great, I still can't believe it was only a dollar...I can't ever find anything good for a dollar, and this is. I am taking off a star because it does apply a tad bit streaky, but its not bad at all.
Ahhh I love this, so so so much. I think this is one of the best brushes from the studio line. It works great for any powders. It has never shed on me, nor has it bled when I washed it. It is also super soft! I don't think this brush is great because its $3, its great as a brush period. This is still a brush I reach for even though I have more expensive brushes <3. Buy this one. I will, and have a backup already.
I don't see this brush being the worst, because I've tried far worse....but this is just o.k. I do agree that its quite prickly, but it helps to blend things in better. It doesn't really shed, and for $1 it is quite good. I won't buy another because I have so many face brushes already, but if you're starting to get into makeup or don't want to spend a fortune on one brush, pick this up. After all I think its better to buy more makeup with the money you'll save, than have no makeup and one fancy brush and nothing to apply ;).
Really good liquid eyeliner, its cheap and very pigmented. I have some issues with the applicator though, its really easy to mess up with it because it gets covered in liner and makes precise application really hard. Also, it is really long lasting, so if u make a mistake, don't expect to just wipe off with a finger hahaha. Sooo, check this out ;).
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Pencil - Black
furnando 7/13/2011 7:00:00 AM
Ok so I bought a ton of these on sale, $0.49. Really, really cheap. But moving on, this pencil is very very soft, which is a plus because the last thing u want is something hard tugging on your eyes. It gives quite a precise line too, I had the easiest time with winged eyeliner, which is something I struggle with. Given how easy it applies, it also fades very quickly. Not to mention, how badly this smudges. EEEK! I took a nap with this on...not good I know :\\, and awoke to eyeliner all over my lid and under my eyes...it was quite scary. This however, is not bad, because for some smokey looks and cut crease looks, its a must for your liner to easily smudge to get rid of any harsh lines. I think its a winner still, but not for precise eyeliner, because it won't last long. I love it nonetheless. The white one on the other hand is amazing, not just for the price, its just an amazing pencil, soft and pigmented, oh and so much product!
