I read Dr. Bailey's blog and thought this might help what I suspected was a yeast or fungal problem with my skin. Let me start by saying I have oily skin that is not breakout prone. I had a couple of questions about this soap and another product and called the number on the website. I left a message, which was never returned. I emailed them and never got a response. So, i proceeded with just ordering the bar of soap. I do not recommend this soap for anyone with combo or oily skin. This soap made my skin a huge mess. It cleans well, but leaves a weird waxy-feeling film behind. Note that this soap contains olive oil and shea butter. One of these is probably the culprit for me. This soap was very expensive with the shipping, and it ended up in the trash. Total flop!!
Powder -Bobbi Brown - Skin Foundation Mineral Makeup SPF 15

I was looking for a light to medium coverage mineral foundation, and I purchased this in shade light. It was a great match to my skin and looked very natural. I used a kabuki to apply, and it was quick and nearly effortless. Unfortunately the irritation from this product started about an hour after application. My face felt hot and itchy, and I quickly began to develop red, itchy bumps on my cheeks and chin. It is a shame because this is a lovely foundation with a natural-looking finish. I have pretty oily skin, and it held up pretty well and did not accentuate pores. Not sure what ingredient is the culprit, but it just won't work for me.
Buyer Beware! This is a lovely polish, but make certain you have sandblasting equipment and a good movie to watch while you toil away removing this stuff! It's a great deep earthy green polish with bronzey gold shimmer. It's quite unique. The lasting power was not impressive, and it began chipping after only two days. (applied base coat, top coat, too) When I began removing this polish, the green portion easily came off and left a weird blue color on the skin surrounding my nailbed. I then had to rub vigoriously with pressure to remove the remaining weird gold color that was left on my nails. My skin stayed blue the rest of the day because nail polish remover did not work at all. Thank goodness this was on my feet! I would not ever use this on my hands!
Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Aquaphor Healing Ointment

If you have chapped lips or dry, cracked skin, you must get this product! I struggled with chapped lips in winter until I tried this product. I prep my lips with it before applying a nude lipstick. The lipstick applies more smoothly over Aquaphor. I also wear each it night while I sleep. Problem solved! When my hands get dry from too much washing in cold weather, I apply this on top of Cerave, and my hands return to normal.
Loose Powders -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Loose Powder

This is my HG powder, and it provides a beautiful and natural finish. Please don't be deterred by the garishly-white color! If applied with a quality brush using a light hand, you will achieve wonderful results. I dump a bit out on my bathroom counter and then dip my Trish powder brush into the product. I sweep it on using light strokes. It doesn't settle into pores or look chalky or cakey. It also lasts pretty well on my oily areas. I don't re-powder. I use Clean and Clear blotting sheets to mop up the oil when necessary.
If you have blue/gray eyes, this is a must-have NARS duo! The lighter shadow is a beautiful, versatile beige/peach/nude shimmer. I wear it all over the lid and often use it as a highlighter under the brow. The steel/blue/gray shadow works beautifully in the crease and outer corner. It makes my eyes absolutely pop. The quality of the shadows is top-notch. They are soft and blend well. When used with a quality shadow base, the lasting power is excellent, and they last all day on my lids.
I thought this would be a great gentle cleanser, and I was wrong! I always research what I buy, and somehow I missed the fact that this product has fragrance. It cleanses thoroughly and doesn't leave the skin feeling stripped. However, I do not use anything fragranced on my face. If you aren't sensitive to fragrance, then it would probably be a great cleanser to use at the end of the day. If you are sensitive to fragrance, stay away as the fragrance is quite strong.
Love this product! The color selection isn't great, but it's worth it if you can find a match for your skin. I use #6, which is fair-medium and on the yellow side. It's natural looking, light, and provides good physical sun protection. It works well with my oily skin and hasn't caused any irritation or breakouts. A little goes a long way, and a tube lasts about four months. The finish is quite natural, but I wear a bit of MAC blot powder on top. Great stuff! Will repurchase!!
I'm not sure why I stopped briefy in Sephora and decided to pick up the butt-ugly bottle of this stuff and give it a sniff. Well, I'm glad I did. I like fruity scents, and this one fits the bill. At first I smell lots of strawberry. And when I say lots, I really mean lots. After a bit, the strawberry mellows out and becomes much more rounded. I find it fresh and modern, and I get compliments on it all the time. It does not last long and reapplication is necessary throughout the day. Longevity and packaging are my only complaints. Will repurchase.
Moisturizers -Cerave - Facial Moisturizing Lotion - PM

I bought this product because of the positive things I've read about niacinamide. It's a nice, lightweight cream and has no scent. Yes, it made my wintertime face nice and comfortable. However, after about a week of use, I decided this just wasn't working for my face. It made my face sting and caused a bit of redness. So, what to do with this moisturizer? I decided to use it as hand cream, and it's by far the best thing I've ever used on my hands. I use lots of hand sanitizer in the winter, and it takes a toll on my hands. This stuff whipped them right into shape. My hands look really great.....even with the constant hand washing and hand sanitizer. I know it's expenisve hand cream, but the niacinamide and ceramides really work!
Styling Products -Sexy Hair Concepts - Powder Play

This product reminds me of Prescriptives Magic Powder....only for the hair. It's a white powder and is packaged in a small shaker bottle. You're supposed to shake it in your hair, but I didn't use this method. I shook a bit of product into my hands, rubbed them together and then rubbed my hands through my hair (at the scalp). I don't notice any fragrance, and I really like that. I did notice the product residue was difficult to wash off my hands. I was looking for something to replace my Oscar Blandi dry shampoo as it tends to make my hair a little dull and white. This is an improvement, but it's not entirely fitting the bill. I have long, highlighted hair that is thick and fairly coarse. I don't feel this product works that well on long, thick hair. If you have short hair, it will probably give you more lift and volume at the roots. Overall it's a nice product, and I like the concept. Would work best for those with shorter hair
I started with the expensive travel size from Sephora, and returned a week later to purchase a full size. I have long, highlighted, fairly- coarse hair. This lovely conditioner truly does keep the frizzies at bay, and leaves my hair shiney, soft, and full of body. I was reluctant to try this because I thought, like lots of other frizz-control products, this would flatten my hair. Not so! The scent is not overwhelming, either. A little bit of this product truly does go a long way. Overall I feel it is an expensive conditioner, but I will repurchase.
I have rather oily eyelids, and this product absolutely makes eye shadow stay fresh and in place all day. If I choose not to wear shadow on the weekends, this makes a very nice lid concealer and hides any redness. When I do wear shadow, it looks the same at 7pm as when I applied it at 7 am. It's a nice matte cream that applies easily. I dab some on the back of my hand and then apply it with my ring finger using a patting motion. You must blend quickly because when it dries, it's done. It will not budge after it dries! I took off one lippie because it's quite expensive and because many of my shadows just aren't as vibrant when applied over this product. My back-up is Benefit Lemon-Aid, and shadows are true and gorgeous when applied over it. However, it can't match the staying power of LM Eye Basics. A tube lasts six months, and I would repurchase!
I'm so glad I finally tried this very popular gloss. I'll admit it looks a bit odd in the tube, but it looks so soft and pretty on my lips. I can wear it alone or over Mac Angel, Creme Cup, or Paula Dorf Flamingo. I usually wear Mac glosses and don't mind the stickiness, but this is completely non-sticky and feels so nice. It kind of gave me a whole new perspective on gloss. I don't find the scent (or lack thereof) offensive at all. I don't detect any odd scent at all. I've also noticed this gloss has eliminated my chapped lips. It's expensive, but worth every penny. I will repurchase!
This is another great Trader Joe's product! It provides great slip, smells good (no overpowering or clashing) and leaves my skin very smooth. I'll never use any other product for shaving. As another reviewer mentioned, the cap does collect water in the shower, which is kind of annoying....but certainly not a deal breaker.
