Eye Shadow -American Beauty - Luxury for Lids - Chocolate Truffle Duo
franw3377 9/14/2008 1:06:00 AM
As the other reviwers have said, these shadows by American Beauty are very high quality. Comparable to the highest-end department store shadows. Go on very smoothly. This duo is a warm bronze and a dark brown. They are shimmery, but not sparkly. Great for both daytime and evening looks. The darker color also works well as a liner. This has become one of my favorite eye shadow duos. Will definitely repurchase.
Love this blush. Goes on like a cream, dries to a powdery finish. The color is a pinky-berry with warm undertones. Really would look good on almost any fair to medium complexion. I have sensitive and oily skin, and have had no problems with breakouts. Looks good all day. Formula is just right -- not too sheer, not too opaque. My favorite blush, and I have quite a collection!
Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Signature Lipstick - Copper Coral
franw3377 4/11/2008 12:42:00 PM
Beautiful lipstick for warm-toned gals. The name describes perfectly -- a coral color with a touch with copper to give it a nice bronzy sheen. Very wearable and creamy. Lasts well too. It is vibrant, so I usually save this for evening wear. (I prefer EL's 'Peach Nectar' lipgloss for day.) I would definitely repurchase.
Treatments -Prescriptives - Super Line Preventor Xtreme

This is the best treatment product I've purchased in years. The ingredient list is impressive, with anitoxidants, hyarulonic acid and other skin boosters. I've used for about two weeks now, and no breakouts on my combo-oily/sensitive skin. In fact, it seems to have normalized my skin. I use morning and night. It makes makeup go on so flawlessly that I've stopped using my regular moisturizer. I don't think I need it. I'm surprised at the poor reviews here. I'm loving this and will definitely repurchase.
Eyeliner -Prescriptives - MoonBeam Reflective Eyeliner in Beaming Forest

My favorite eye pencil. Amazing color . . . deep forest green with gold-toned glints that doesn't overpower. Just makes your eyes pop. I have green eyes, and I wear it with brown and plum shadows. Goes on smoothly with no tugging or skipping. Wears all day. I wish it were self-sharpening, but I'll still purchase again. I get compliments on my eyes all the time when wearing this one!
My favorite concealer. I've tried drugstore and high-end (BB, Lancome, LM, etc.) and this one is the all-round winner. Great consistency -- creamy enough to cover but not too creamy. Doesn't settle into lines, especially if you dust with a little powder to 'set'. As with all Px products, you get a perfect color match. I like that it comes in a tube -- very hygienic, and you control the amount you want. You can apply with your finger or with a concealer brush.
Foundations -Estee Lauder - Minute Make Up Stick [DISCONTINUED]

Add me to the roster of fans. I love this stick make-up, and it makes my skin look flawless. It's definitely my HG foundation. I have combo-oily skin, occasionaly breakouts and have had absolutely no problems. In act, my skin seems to have improved since using Minute Stick. Gives sheer to medium buildable coverage. Easy to throw in your purse and great for travel. It can serve as a concealer too. Wish there was more product in the tube, but I'll still repurchase again and again.
Powder -Prescriptives - AnyWear Multi-finish compact foundation

I love the convenience of powder type foundations and have tried a number of them -- from department store brands like MAC and Clinique to drugstore brands like CG and Isadora. This is one of the best. First, as with all Px products, you get a wonderful color match. Second, even though I get shine break-through after two or three hours (I have combo-oily skin), the color remains true. Third, the product is noncomedogenic, fragrance free, oil-free and has an SFP 12 (wish it were higher, but use an SPF moisturizer). And last, the coverage is buildable -- the foundation can be applied wet for a sheer look or with a sponge or foundation brush for heavier coverage.
Awesome bronzer brush. Applies evenly and lightly, never streaky. Love the look of it on my vanity too! I also use Prescripives blush brush, concealer brush and foundation brush. All excellent quality . . . no shedding and last forever.
Blush -New York Color - Color Wheel Mosaic Powder Pink Cheek Glow
franw3377 7/15/2006 1:49:00 AM
A lovely blush that gives a nice natural flushed look. It doesn't look cakey at the end of the day and even seems to help control oil. Will definitely repurchase, although it will be a while before I do. . . the compact is huge!
I've used all kinds of high-end cream-to-powder foundations -- Prescriptives, Estee Lauder, MAC, Clinique, etc. -- and this one is comparable. Provides buildable coverage that's flawless, SPF 15, and is fragrance-free. I particularly like the texture. It's not as thick as some other cream-to-powder foundations I've used; it goes on more like a liquid and then dries to a soft buttery finish. I am mid-40's, with combination/oily skin that's sensitive and break-out prone. Have used this for three months now with no problems at all. I only wish I'd tried it a long time ago. . . I could have saved a fortune and had a flawless face!
My favorite fragrance. Very feminine -- berry, floral, vanilla and musk notes. Perfume for day (not overpowering) or evening. I always get compliments when wearing Carolina.
Concealers -Flirt - Pretty Easy Quick Cover [DISCONTINUED]
franw3377 3/13/2006 8:45:00 PM
Love this concealer. A fat stick that comes in about a dozen shades -- both cool and warm. I found a great match for my moderately fair skin with yellow undertones in 'My Fair Lady - Warm'. Applies smoothly with no pulling or tugging. Silky feel and dries down to a nice matte finish. I'm very picky about concealers and have tried dozens. This is one of the best.
Didn't like this body butter. Sort of smells like plastic to me. There are better products for the money. I returned mine.
Lip Treatments -Good Skin - All Skin Megabalm Ultra Soothing Lip Treatment
franw3377 10/9/2005 1:44:00 PM
My HG lip treatment. I've tried everything from drugstore stuff (CocoCare, Eucerin, etc.) to department store (Clinique, MAC, etc.) and nothing really worked to cure the problem of dry, flaky lips. This stuff is amazing. It does not come off or slip into the skin around the lips. It really does moisturize intensely. I put on at night and wake up to soft smooth lips. I've used for three weeks now and can skip a couple of nights without any adverse effects. Will definitely repurchase this as well as many other Good Skin items.
