love this powder! you would think that since it's white, it would wash out a deeper skin tone, but it looks lovely on everyone! i love the way it looks on top of my foundation. it makes me matte while still giving me a luminous complexion, which i love. i don't like to look completely matte! it has great staying power but i still find myself doing touch ups throughout the day, which is expected considering i have very oily skin. it also works lovely if you put concealer on under your foundation, putting some of this on top the concealer sets it perfectly. i love this product, will definitely repurchase when i run out!
I really don't quite know if I like or dislike this mascara. It provides great volume and length while separating the lashes and fanning them out. didn't really notice much of a curling effect, but that's not really something i worry about considering my lashes are naturally curled. the first few times i used this mascara, i seriously hated it. i considered returning it because it was so clumpy! the formula was so wet and goopy, i really don't know what other word to use. lol! anyway, it put it on and it was like i had ten super thick triangle shaped lashes, if you know what i mean. i really had to break this mascara in before it started working the way i wanted it to, which is honestly something i feel like i shouldn't have to do with makeup. it also flakes like crazy! wow! i have never had a mascara flake so badly in my life, not even the 5 dollar drugstore brands i've tried out. and it also smudges under the eyes a lot. i am really on the fence about this product. i love it, but i hate it at the same time. not really sure if i would purchase it again because i love the way it looks when it's broken in. just don't like the flaking and smudging.
I used this foundation after I ran out of my MAC Studio Fix. Wow, this foundation is seriously awful. Don't even bother wasting 8 dollars on this stuff. It may say it gives you a "flawless, luminous look" but don't believe it. If by luminous they mean, "I just worked out and have sweat and grease all over my face" then sure, that's definitely luminous! It just looks horribly greasy on me! I have to use a ton of translucent powder over it to even make it look just okay on me. and the coverage is awful. I can put on so much concealer underneath, blend it and it still looks horrible and spotty. Would never waste my money on this cheap product again.
I work at a Chanel makeup counter, so I decided to take home a sample of the Mat Lumiere foundation since I have such oily skin. Never in my life had I seen such amazing oil control from a foundation! I can have it on for hours and have barely any oil, which is saying something because I usually have to blot and powder my face about an hour after my makeup application. Great buildable coverage, it never looks cakey on my skin. It matches my skin tone perfectly and feels so nice on my face. Only problem I have with it is that it's a bit pricey, but I'm paying for the quality also! A definite must for people who want a long wearing, oil control foundation.
