Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Cannes
rated 4 of 5

a beautiful, berry bronze color, looks scarily dark until applied to the skin...best application is done with fingers, which makes it very easy to do. on the cheeks it's sheer with a slight shimmer(applies best on bare skin, and this shade in particular probably looks best on medium to tan/dark skin), and not at all greasy. however, for lips i prefer a lot of gloss and not a lot of color, so i can't use this on my lips. my eyelids don't hold eyeshadow well in general, much less cream shadows, so this didn't work well on my eyes, but if you don't have oily eyelids, this would look stunning on any eye color, especially green or blue. a great, versatile product in a lovely color.

My new favorite blush!!!I love the subtle peach color, and the finely milled texture. i used to think that NARS had the best blushes (they have better packaging tho) but this blush, and this color, are fantastic.

Great texture, wonderful neutral base color. I use this as an allover shade or to highlight my brow bone.

Brows -Christian Dior - Eyebrow Pencil
rated 5 of 5

I don't know if I'm talking about the same CD brow pencil as the rest of the reviewers... I purchased the new CD brow powder pencil, which is an oil-free powdery brow filler pencil with a brow brush at the other end. I love this, it lasts a long time which justifies the steep price tag. Unlike most other brow pencils, this one gives a natural look like brow powder without the fuss of applying with a little brush and shadow pot. Great for filling in or darkening sparse brows, but probably not that useful if you're looking to create a dramatic brow or draw on an entirely new set of eyebrows.

Treatments -OPI - Nail Envy

Wonderful as a topcoat and basecoat, my once brittle and weak nails are strong and are longer than I've had them in quite a while. I haven't had any problems with nail breakage since I started using this.

Polishes -OPI - Coney Island Cotton Candy

Lasts for quite a while without chipping but not really big on shine, but that can be fixed by adding a topcoat. A lovely, subtle french-manicure nude/pink.

Scrubs -The Body Shop - nut body scrub [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5

This smells heavenly! Love the delicious scent. My only problems with this scrub are that the salt in it dissolves too quickly to exfoliate very well, and that it leaves a greasy residue in my tub/shower ... the residue it leaves on my skin is actually a good thing, a nice light moisturizing oil with a lovely scent, which allows me to skip the step of rubbing on body oil after my shower.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Body Butter - Brazil Nut
rated 3 of 5

I absolutely love the way this smells in the package, good enough to eat (have to resist the temptation each time I open the lid), but it's not the kind of scent I'd want to smell like. The texture is very good for dry winter skin, a little on the greasy side, but very rich and creamy.

Blush -NARS - Passion [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5

Passion is a matte, terra-cotta/ bronzey peach shade. Love the quality of NARS blushes, but this one is just a teeny bit more orange than my Amour blush, so I don't know if I would repurchase. gives a pretty sunkissed flush, though!

Eye Primer -BeneFit Cosmetics - F.Y. Eye [DISCONTINUED]

I never wear eyeshadow, even on special occasions when I'd really like to, because they just crease and disappear on my oily lids, so I decided to give this shadow base a try. I was a little skeptical when I read the ingredients (it's not oil-free), and although the pot is adorable, the color of the product inside the pot looked like a scary dark orange-peach. thankfully it was almost colorless on my lids, and made a nice velvety matte base for eyeshadow, and did seem to make it last a lot longer than when I applied shadow on my bare lids. i don't use it often b/c I hardly wear eyeshadow, but if you're planning to use it often, you should be aware that it is a quite pricey for such a small amount.

Moisturizers -Clarins - Hydra-Matte
rated 3 of 5
fm143 3/25/2003 8:09:00 PM

This is a decent moisturizer, but not much more than that. Nice, light texture, nice fragrance ( a little strong and perfumey, not good for sensitive skins) but no SPF and no visible mattifying properties.

Mascara -Clinique - Long Pretty Lashes Mascara
rated 2 of 5
fm143 3/25/2003 8:05:00 PM

While it didn't clump (I think this was due to the nice brush design) it was too wet and goopy, and made my lashes uncurl instantly. Plus, no visible lengthening or thickening, or anything really. Perhaps if my eyelashes weren't black already it would have made some difference to the darkness of my lashes, but that's about it. After about 3-4 unsuccessful attempts to make this work for me, I threw away the tube and cleaned the wand off to use as a brow groomer.

Lip Treatments -Philosophy - Kiss Me lip Balm
rated 3 of 5
fm143 3/25/2003 7:59:00 PM

I really like the texture of this lip balm, but I just can't get over the strong faux-citrus scent. If they changed the scent, and perhaps the color (although it goes on clear, I wish the balm itself wasn't a sickly yellow color), then maybe I would purchase it again. Until then, I'm sticking with my Smith's Rosebud Salve.

Shampoo -Kerastase - Bain Satin 2 Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
fm143 3/25/2003 7:56:00 PM

I love this shampoo. It's gentle enough to use everyday on my hair, which is fine in texture but very dry at the ends. The smell is not overwhelming and it's just rich enough to leave my hair feeling silky, not too rich as to leave my hair heavy with residue.

Treatments -Kerastase - Masquintense
rated 4 of 5
fm143 3/25/2003 7:53:00 PM

I have the masquintense for fine hair, and although it left my hair feeling nice and soft and not heavy, the results were not amazing enough to justify me spending so much money on another tub. i have nearly waist-length hair and the 150 mL tub would last about 2 weeks, tops, if i used it as a normal conditioner (it's not deep conditioning enough to use as a treatment IMO). plus, the smell was kind of strange, left my hair smelling like milk plus some generic chemical odor.
