Lips -GOSH - Long Lasting Lip Marker
rated 4 of 5

I have been looking for a replacement for my bourgeois liptints that have been discontinued and then i found these in the local pharmacy. I bought the red and the berry and find them to be really buildable and they don't dry quite as quickly as the bourgeois lovelies. As with all stains the lips have to be well-prepped in advance with a gentle scrub and lip balm ...and at 12 euros each the price is not as cheap as i would like but hey for an instant pop of long lasting colour they can't be beat!!

Fragrances -Hugo Boss - orange sunset

Less tart than the original and more creamy and warmer I layered this with boss deep red and got a looovely result. My ideal fragrance is warm, sensual, maybe even slightly masculine and deep red ticks these boxes but when I want to lighten up I'm thinking this will be my new combo - one spray of each!

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Deep Action Cream Cleanser
rated 4 of 5

For the few reviews complaining about this there are two reasons why it may not work I think a) it is not meant to remove make-up and doesn't claim to so stop using it for this purpose and b) it contains salicylic acid which can upset sensitive skin. I really like this. It leaves my skin smooth and seems to be making a difference to the occasional spots I get. And it is such a good price at under 4 euro

I have compared this to neon orange polishes and it isn't neon bright but it is still quite bright A creamy streakfree lucious orange colour - a dream on toenails in the summer! Also lovely and cheap

Treatments -L'Oreal - Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light Detangling Spray leave-in conditioner
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 8/6/2010 10:55:00 AM

I use my regular shampoo and conditioner and use this after my hair has dried to define my waves without weighing them down and it does this pretty well. Smells yummy and if my day old hair is going a bit frizzy I can spray in my hair, gently shape and then style up. It isn't really that effective as a conditioner on my dry hair so I actually bought this to be used as an additional conditioner to the one I already use ...

Moisturizers -Clean & Clear - morning glow spf 15
rated 4 of 5

The sparkles in this are quite nice under my foundation either liquid or mineral powder and are light diffusing and flattering. I have also taken to putting on my normal slightly rich facial lotion and then putting this on top on my cheekbones and a slight touch down the centre of my nose to catch the light for a flattering sheen and polish On its own it might just be too glittery but in cloudy winter months it adds a touch of healthy light Kinda stingy around the eyes and the texture is scratchy because of the glitter so use sparingly I like the clean pump and I picked mine up for two euro so cannot complain

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Simple - Hydrating Light Moisturiser
rated 3 of 5

A 'simple' - duh! - no frills product that moisturises my skin just enough But I have moved on as I want something with an spf and more ingredients that can benefit my skin Also I think that their products are misleading as they portray themselves as completely natural nearly when if you look at the list of chemical ingredients on the pack it is a bit of a shock. THERE IS LOADS

Skincare - Body -Sally Hansen - Airbrush Legs in Light Glow
rated 3 of 5
floppy3 6/19/2010 8:45:00 AM

Firstly I am super pale so this just on my legs doesn't really work no matter how much I blend it because of the paleness. I had hoped nude glow would have been light enough but it wasn't. I bought this as a cheap slternative to mac face and body and the make up for ever version which are both too expensive for all over leg application. BUT if there are any redheads out there who feel even gradual tanners are too dark then rejoice! I apply this with a mit all over and it really looks well. I then use a slightly darker foundation than my skin and I have to say it looks kinda natural

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 6/19/2010 8:39:00 AM

This is what I had hoped great lash by Maybelline would be ...a nice basic mascara that defines lashes by making them darker and a bit more lengthened and thickened. It does this! A word of warning, you cannot layer this or it turns into a clumply mess so you have to apply one coat quickly as it dries pretty soon. My lashes but better!

Lips -Bourjois - Rouge Hi-Tech Water-based liptint [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 6/10/2010 11:13:00 AM

I have what i think are the two most wearable colours - rouge futuriste, which gives a warm orange tint but can be built up to a strong coral and rose pixel which when dabbed on gives the perfect just eaten a strawberry pout but can bu layered for a hot pink full lip A really lovely product. For a tint i used to blot of excess lipstick which was a waste but these are great. Mine cost around 10 euros each and are lasting. I do find when it fades you are left with a lipliner effect mark but your lips in the middle can just be topped up!

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Age Defying Hand Q10 Plus
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 5/16/2010 7:09:00 PM

This is SUCH a good product. I find it better than the clarins one in the white bottle that keeps on winning "best product" titles. It absorbs within a minute of application and leaves hands with no residue other than a feeling of naturally soft skin rather than oily hands. Great for the handbag when you are out and about and need to get moisture in the skin. Not an intensive treatment but when I.m stuck and the skin between my fingers begins to crack I will apply a fairly thick coat of this in there

Polishes -Bourjois - So Laque Nail Enamel
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 5/7/2010 12:33:00 PM

A really glossy nail varnish that is underrated I think A bit more expensive than I would like for a drugstore brand but anyways ... I've only used it in two colours, their nude manicure pink which is a great go-to colour when you want to look polished and Fuchsia hype, a true dark fuchia colour. Next I'm going to try their soft muted tangerine colour!

Other -Unlisted Brand - Braun Epilator
rated 4 of 5
floppy3 4/5/2010 10:12:00 AM

I have never been professionally waxed due to embaressment and the cost, too expensive for my budget. I got a kit which includes a cordless model, a shaver, a trimmer head, a starter and normal epi head, one for the face and underarms. It all came in a nice enough silver zip up pouch. Face: Ouch factor = really not that bad. Gives a clean upper lip and is easy to use with the little light stuck on the machine itself. Underarms: ouch factor = up there with the bikini area. I counteract this with some talc to absorb oils even on clean skin and I press a bag of frozen peas on there for a good five minutes to numb before drying and using it. Pain factor reduced A LOT! Love not having to shave here for at least two weeks ...amazing Legs: Ouch factor = like little fish nibling away at your skin, but you soon get over it. It is really tiring though having to go over your legs repeatedly which is waht I have to do. I wish there was a giant head for pros so I could just rip all the hair out in fifteen minutes. The bigest plus is being able to remove hair in the privacy of your own home whenever you want. The pain is really not that big a deal and because YOU are in control of the pain, it makes it that bit easier to do. Mine was a bit pricey at around 85 euros but it is an investment and when you think about how much razor heads or waxing costs its a real bargain
