I really hoped this SLS free product would work, but I feel like I just dont understand the proper method. It leaves an oily residue on my skin that in spite of the directions will not come off with loads and loads of cool water splashed on the face. Also, in using the cotton pad method I'm not a fan of wasting tons of cotton pads to remove a product. I will use the rest of this product on my most dry days, otherwise I'm afraid it will break me out. The scent and texture are very pleasant.
Treatments (Eye) -Aubrey Organics - Lumessence Rejuvenating Eye Cream

The low price and organic, natural ingredients were the two things that reeled me in on this product plus the hope that it would help with puffyness and circles. Unfortunately, the pump is terrible - squirts out way too much, the product made my vision cloudy in the mornings, and the results were far from extraordinary. I have better results from putting pure squalene oil around my eyes. Am still in search of a good eye cream!
I LOVE this foundation. It's great for yellow toned complexions and smooths on for a velvety finish. I was thrilled to find such a silky, liquid mineral to use - I hate having to brush, and brush, and brush on minerals to get the coverage I need. Also brushes get bacterial over time and need to be replaced often (even washing won't help at a certain point). My skin looks flawless with this over my pock-marked acne skin, does NOT aggravate acne, moisturizes and even has some SPF. The salts make my skin better and I feel like I'm doing something good for my skin with YB. Glad this product exists!
The colors! It's all about the awesome colors they have. My lips look fuller with this and the product never goes bad. Clinique lip gloss gets a funky smell within a few months of use but this one always smells nice and is great to toss in your purse for everyday touch ups. Could be better on the moisturizing front.
Too strong! I almost want to use this on my cuts/scrapes because it's so alcoholic. It made my skin red and inflamed when I apply it to my face.
Cleansers -Dermalogica - Dermal Clay Facial Cleanser

I don't know if this really does anything, but I like the tingling sensation from this product. It's not effective enough for my acne, but I do like the consistency and the way it feels. My skin ends up feeling very clean afterwards.
Cleansers -Dermalogica - Anti-Bac Medicated Cleanser

I used this product for a year to no avail. It was a good basic wash for my acne. I did not change cleansers during this time as I was undergoing levulan/laser treatments. I wanted to stick with the same product that my skin was used to to avoid reactions to new products. The best thing dermalogica has to offer long term cystic acne sufferers is their in-salon facials and their sulfur based clay mask. If this cleanser is just not clearing you up it may be too weak and not taking enough of your dead skin cells off. Thick sebum + dead skin cells = bacteria and acne. Glycolics are good for this and that is what I have switched too. Good luck!
Toners -Kate Somerville - Clarifying Treatment Toner

For the price and quantity, just not worth the results. It seems like an average toner, with some minor benefits from the lactic acid. Overall, combined with the Daily Detox these Somerville products did not give me significant results. I do like the sanitary packaging and may refill it with another liquid in the future. I'm on the Jan Marini bioglycolic cleanser and cream - great stuff!
This cleanser did get the job done, but for the price and quantity it's not worth the results. I did not see substantive results with this product line over all, I combined the detox cleanser with the lactic acid toner and did not experience clearing effects overall. Also, the product often leaked out of the twist cap onto my medicine cabinet. I will not be buying this again and am rather happy with my most recent purchase - Jan Marini bioglycolic cleanser and cream. Now that stuff works!
Moisturizers -Kate Somerville - Deep Tissue Repair with Peptide K8

I tried this several times over the course of a few months to check and see if there were other factors involved. Made me break out with every application. I have sensitive, oily skin and was hoping to use this for scars. No dice on this one!
Cleansers -Jan Marini - Bioglycolic Facial Cleanser

I used this product incorrectly for a month and now know it wasn't working. I was applying this product to a wet face with wet hands. WRONG MOVE! Apparently the beneficial effects of the glycolic acid is deactived by water! Well, I started with the dry application AM and PM and what an incredible difference. My acne, acne scars have started to go away and the texture of my skin has softened. The thick sebum that I normally get has been reduced and takes a lot longer to build up during the day. I have to say I am very happy with this product so far (1 month with correct use) and am hoping to continue with good results. I am also using the bioclear cream, which works much better after the cleanser. I'm onto purchasing the transformation cream and C-esta serum to see if I can boost the results. Don't forget sunscreen with this - Very happy!
