file03 7/2/2010 11:48:00 AM
I loved this. it wasnt thick, but I would apply it OVER my mac's myth lipstick for shine. I am really bummed to see they redesigned colors and the line for moistureshine gloss. do any of the new ones match up with Whisper shade?

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow - Lemon Lip Cream

fantastic. smells so good. my lips have been softer for my lipgloss/sticks application. I almost wish they made this with a pale pink tint so I didnt have to rely on lipsticks. I hate my lips red. but I use this a lot when I go to bed. and sometimes I'll wear a light layer of it under my lipgloss or lipstick.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Pure Seduction

I like it a lot. great for the price. I used to wear Love Spell til I found this. this smells better, even though sometimes someone will be like "oh my god you smell so good, thats Love Spell isn't it?" I'm like ah no, it's pure seduction. I know I'd be able to tell the difference between the two. I get compliments on how I smell often.

Mascara -Max Factor - Stretch and Separate Waterproof Mascara
file03 4/27/2008 1:38:00 PM
I enjoy this mascara. I have tried 10+ different kind of mascaras, even expensive ones. I find it works amazing when I remove some excess mascara off the wand. too much ends up coming out and it gets little too clumpy on the lashes. so I wipe the wand a little bit with plastic of some sort: plastic bag. NOT paper or tissue. that'll just leave paper and tissue on the wand and ruin the wand. and THEN I apply. and it separates great. does not weigh my curl down (I use an eyelash curler beforehand), and adds length. I would give it 5 stars, but I find that it makes my lashes a little too dry. I know this is a waterproof formula, so it'll do that. I don't want to use non-waterproof, I feel as though it didn't hold the curl as well. maybe some day I'll try the non-waterproof version again. if I could give this overall 4.5 stars I would. but I can't, so I'll pick 4 stars. packaging - 4. just because like I said, I think it works better when there is less mascara on the wand. I hate discarding excess mascara, but it's the only way. I've been using this 2 years now (I think?).

Liquid -Almay - Almay Truly Lasting Color longwear makeup
file03 4/1/2008 12:25:00 PM
great. the pump idea is great. I mix it with MAC's spf 15 tint. then I dust with a coating of Mac's blot powder. and I am set for the entire day. perfect oil control (mostly because of Mac's blot powder), no shine at all. I have to use the blot powder maybe 6+ hours later. no breakouts or drying or anything. been using this combination for a month now. and I am so happy.

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Clear Pore Cleanser Mask
file03 3/28/2008 1:54:00 PM
nothing special. I have combo oily/dry skin. did nothing to help with oil, or blackheads, or pores, or anything. if anything, it slightly dried my skin, and opened my pores way too much. even some red discoloration before my makeup application. now I am more happy with Mac's cremewash. no drying. to control any shine/oil, I use Mac's blot powder. and my face has never looked better.

Mascara -Dejavu (Imju) - Fiberwig Lash Knockout
file03 3/26/2008 1:55:00 PM
application: curl eyelashes first, really well. this is important. apply some max factor's stretch and separate- root to tip. apply fiberwig from root to tip, while wiggling wand. applying max factor volume couture couple of times. depending what the outcome is, I'll rotate and apply more layers of the 3 mascaras until I'm happy. great length. it DOES take some practice. I'm getting better, after my 7th application of it, I feel like I finally know how to work it. I bet I'll even get better and quicker at it. also it's important to apply eyeliner to the upper lash line. on the inside, the waterline area, not just on the eyelid lash line. this will make it look fuller. I like Mac's technakohl liner for that.

Blush -Tarte - Natural Swirl Full Blossom Cheek Stain
file03 3/25/2008 10:07:00 PM
yikes this smells awful. and it does not go away after a minute like others have said, I tried it out and I put it on hours ago and it still smells lightly if someone is close to my face (example: my boyfriend). thankfully he won't get to even complain about this, because I'm returning it ASAP. also, it faded off pretty quickly. nice pink color though.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Florabundance lipglass
file03 3/14/2008 5:20:00 PM
this color is amazing. only other lipglass I have tried is Underage. I feel like Underage washes me out little too much. Florabundance still has that pale pinkness to it, but it's almost as if there is little warmness/peachness going on. it's lovely. I find that using mac's lip conditioner (both tube, or jar) help my lips to stay more moist, so the lipglass doesn't bunch up in my inner lip. I still must confess that applying lipglass without a mirror does make me nervous. but once I see its placed evently, all is well. looks GREAT with mac's blush creme in the shade lilicent. to get smooth lips: - before bed to help my lips be more smooth- I pop a vitamin E pill and apply the oil to my lips. - I use mac lip conditioner throughout the day. - when I'm at home I use C O Bigelow's Mentha Lip Shine. only at home because it makes lips too shiny and oily. - drink more water, of course. - after I come out of the shower, I take a towel and lightly scrub my lips to exfoliate any skin.

Lipstick -Vincent Longo - Lip Stain in Fleur de Flirt
file03 3/12/2008 2:56:00 PM
this makes my lips appear a darker natural shade of reddish/pink. on the sephora website, it showed it more pale and pink. definitely bummed. I would love a lip stain by vincent, considering the great reviews. is there a pale pink/nude in this shade? the sephora website makes it look like fleur de flirt was the lightest pink color. yet its so dark in person.

Cleansers -MAC - Cremewash
file03 3/12/2008 1:16:00 PM
before I used Cremewash, I was using neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask. sort of left my skin a little discolored when I saw my face in the mirror out of the shower, and opened up my pores a lot. I switched to Mac's cremewash after seeing its ratings here. and I am super satisfied. cleanses makeup off, does not turn any parts of my face pink, and does not turn my pores into huge ones. I follow it with mac's prep and prime spf 50, and then I use almay's tlc foundation + mac's spt 15 tint mixed together, and follow with a dusting of mac's blot powder. and my face has NEVER looked better. pores closed, and complete shine control for hours.

Shampoo -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Nourishing Shampoo
file03 3/11/2008 5:51:00 PM
backstory: back in June I permed my hair. then I changed my mind and continued to straighten and blowdry my hair every day, and STILL do. 6 months ago I lightened my ash blonde hair to a lighter shade. 1-2 months after I changed my mind and dumped medium dark ash blonde onto my hair. then 2-3 weeks later I decided I wanted highlights. I added too many thick strands. a week later I dumped medium ash blonde dye onto my whole head again. SO, you can only imagine. my hair must be STRONG. strong, but dry. I then used to use nexxus vitatress biotin shampoo daily, and bunch of other conditioners- neotruogena, and whatever else I had, and some kinds of leave-in conditioner, not worth naming. then I decided research on makeupalley because I knew I can give my dull damaged hair some shine again. this is allI use on my hair now: VS's So Sexy shampoo and conditioner for dry/damaged. after that in the shower, I use Fekkai's Protein RX Conditioner, and leave it for 5min and rinse out. I let my hair dry halfway, and then apply Fekkai's glossing cream with olive oil. after I blowdry my hair is SIGNIFICANTLY not as dry as it used to be. I apply some more glossing cream and then touch up my hair with a ceramic flat iron. boy is it SHINY. not greasy. not flat. amazing. the combination of these products certainly helped me. I feel as if the VS So Sexy shampoo for dry/damaged is too runny, but, hey, who cares? it's awesome.

Blush -MAC - Blushcreme - Lilicent ] [DISCONTINUED]
file03 3/11/2008 5:39:00 PM
great blush. I haven't used a peach-colored one in years. also I have NEVER used cream blushes before. very satisfied. blends easily, even with my foundation + powder already on my face.
