Cleansers -La Roche Posay - Effaclar Purifying Gel Cleanser
fififiona 10/21/2006 4:19:00 PM
Not a huge fan of this. I found it really drying and I never felt like my face was completely clean. I ended up breaking out from this too. It's sad cuz all the other effaclar products seem to work really well.

Brows -Shiseido - eyebrow pencil
fififiona 10/21/2006 4:16:00 PM
I am totally addicted to this. I can't buy anything else now. I have it in black, which is actually kinda greyish, but it looks more natural. Oh yeah, this is crazy expensive but worth it. My mom hates it though. Her eyebrows are alot thinner than mine so this really makes her eyebrows look light. So I guess I wouldn't reccommend this colour for sparse eyebrows?

Mascara -Vincent Longo - Vincent Longo waterproof mascara
fififiona 10/21/2006 4:12:00 PM
I love this. It gives a natural but still pretty look, and it never migrates under my eyes. It's kinda expensive though and I think it might be irritating my eyes? I don't know why, but at the end of the day my eyes suddenly start burning like crazy. I really hope this isn't the culprit.

Treatments -La Roche Posay - Effaclar K
fififiona 10/15/2006 2:27:00 PM
I absolutely love this stuff. I didn't know anything about this brand until I went into a pharmacie and asked the lady for something to use on my spots. She recommended this for my skin. When I first applied it, I totally did not expect it to work but in 2 days, my skin was clearer and less oily. I love that this didn't dry out my skin like other treatments that were far too harsh on my skin. The packaging is also good. It's in a tube so it's very hygenic and easy to get the amount you need. I don't know whether this would work on people who actually have acne because my main problem was clogged pores, not deep pimples. But if you have problems with slow skin turnover like me, then this will work miracles.

Scrubs -Dessert Beauty - Sugar Scrub - Dreamy

I kinda liked this. It smells good and I like the sheen it leaves afterward. I would never ever pay full price for this though. TJ Maxx is carrying it for $6!

Makeup Brushes -Japonesque - Concealor/Corrector Brush #310
fififiona 9/17/2006 1:51:00 PM
This is a great brush, I actually got it in travel size because the long handles get a little cumbersome. I use it for blending out concealer and it does the job very well. Worth the price.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - HOLLISTER August
fififiona 9/16/2006 12:58:00 PM
My favourite perfume. I tend to move through fragrances really quickly, I tire of them and move on to the next one. But not this one.. I've been using it a full year now and I still love it. A lot of guys have mentioned to me that this smells just a little masculine but they looove it lol.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiss My Face - Eye Witness Eye Cream
fififiona 9/15/2006 11:52:00 PM
I lurrve Eye Witness Cream. It is very hydrating and seems to diminish my dark circles a tad. I don't have wrinkles so, uh, can't comment on that aspect yet. The packaging is hygenic and not wasteful (yay!). I like how it isn't crazy expensive and it smells good, like a forest. No, not really, it just smells herbal-y, but I still like it.

Eyeliner -Prestige - Kohl Eyeliner
fififiona 9/13/2006 12:35:00 PM
I usually don't wear eyeliner so I can only compare this to other drugstore brands and it has to be said that this definitely is the best. It goes on really soft and smooth, and really dark. This is actually black, not grey which you have to go over and over again to get a darker colour. I only wear it on the top of my eyes so I don't have a problem with it not being waterproof.

Highlighters -Mary Kay - Facial Highlighter Pen
fififiona 9/13/2006 11:53:00 AM
I've had this pen in shade 3 lying around my makeup box for a couple of weeks, I kinda forgot about it I guess. I pulled it out when I had an acne scar that would just not cover with my regular concealor and dabbed this on and I was shocked at the results. It completely covered the scar and blended in really well with my skin. I know this is meant for under your eyes, and it does work well for that, but it works wonders as a coverup as well. UPDATE: Ok, I found this wayy too drying under my eyes and as a regular concealor but it works soo well for those zits that look dark when covered up with concealor. Just dab this on top of the concealor, blend it in, and the darkness is all gone. I guess something about the peachy tone helps it disappear.

Highlighters -Becca - Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector
fififiona 9/13/2006 11:37:00 AM
I love this so so much. I was torn between Opal and Gold because I didn't know which one suited me more. Eventually an MA persuaded me to get Gold because it made me look a little more bronzed. I use it on my cheekbones and browbones and I love the subtle glow it gives me (which lasts all day!). I also like to use it on my eyes and I've used a little on my lips too which looks pretty. I'm not a huge fan of the packaging as the pump forces out way too much product, alot of which goes to waste. But all in all, this is a fantastic highlighter, definitely worth the priciness.

Loose Powders -Becca - Fine Loose Finishing Powder
fififiona 9/13/2006 10:55:00 AM
I both love and hate this product. I didn't know which to choose but I went with Wheat since I hate it when my face looks too dark for my body. They really need a shade in between Wheat and Mocha. Anyways, Love: the powder itself, it's amazing and wonderful and perfect. It's really light, smooth, and it melts right into your skin. Hate: the price is outrageous and the packaging is sucky, every time I open it it wastes soo much product. Lately I've been flipping it upside down and back again and then sort of spanking the top to settle the powder. Anyway, the method suffices for now but I cringe to think of what would happen if I carried it in my purse! If the powder were of worse quality then I wouldn't bother repurchasing, but as of right now, I'm hooked.

Primer/ Corrector -Sephora - Skin Smoothing Makeup Base
fififiona 9/13/2006 10:41:00 AM
I am really loving this product. I'm not a huge fan of using primers but for some reason I had to buy this one. Anyway, this controls my oilies soo well. Plus it really smooths out my skin for makeup application. I went out to see a movie last night and usually when I look in a mirror afterwards, my face is like an oil monster. But not with this stuff! I did get oily after awhile but it seemed more like dewey than actually shiny. I've only been using it a couple of days, crossing my fingers that I don't break out. EDIT: Uh oh, this stuff is making me dry and flakey. Naughty primer! I still like it but maybe I should only use it for special occasions now..
