Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup

Very pleased with this product! I have oily, combination skin and this really controls my oily skin. I previously used the original colorstay liquid formula for oily/combo skin until they changed it!! It wasn't the same! So decided to try this out. It goes on really smoothly, med to full coverage and i top it off with a dusting of Covergirl professional powder ....excellent matte finish all day long!! which is quite a feat for my oily skin! I use the sand beige shade which is perfect for my complexion...typically nc 25 in MAC...in the summer i may go to nude as i get a bit more color, but otherwise is this as perfect as you can get in a long lasting foundation....even BETTER than Estee Lauder Double wear or the MAC studio fix foundations and a fraction of the price...also you can find on sale or 30% off from time to time which is when i stock up!

Loose Powders -Cover Girl - Professional Loose Powder
fcirone1 3/5/2013 7:39:00 PM
Was pleasantly surprised at how great this powder is at controlling oily skin. I use the Revlon Whipped creme foundaiton in sand beige and chose Translucent Fair in the CG loose powder. I barely need to touch up....don't have to and this combination works great together....actually better than the rimmel pressed stay matte powder i was using previously. I apply the powder with a brush instead of the puff all over my face eyelids, and it works great at controlling oil. I usually take off the top and sprinkle an amount into the cap and use my brush to swirl and apply on my skin. Shade works well and like the fact it is more yellow than pink. It also has that clean noxzema smell which I like and findly oddly comforting. I think for my purse, not sure if i would trust the packaging won't open and spill out all over so i would probably purchase a compact in the buff beige which i find to be a similar shade in the compact pressed powder......strangely enough i find the pressed powder doesn't control oil as good as the loose powder which i find to be amazing. Highly recommend especially for oily/combo skin gals.

Lovely floral fragrance - has a faint cigarette smoke which i enjoy. This is my go to fragrance for work or when not sure what to wear. Not too heavy. Nice change from EL Pleasures which i wear also but needed a change as of late.

Wonderful fragrance...smells very similar to Madonna Truth or Dare...white floral with a sweet drydown. Love it. The sweetness in the drydown i believe it is a nice vanilla keeps it from smellng to white flower like. Lasting power is excellent too!

I remember this fragrance when i was in gr. 5, i so loved it and i would feel so grown up whenever i wore it. I had the smallest spray bottle. I picked up a bottle of the eau de toilette for an extremely reasonable price - for 3.5 oz, $8.99...brand new in box from a reputable retailer. I do enjoy the eau de toilette...this IMO is the closest to the original charlie i remember. I once purchased the cologne version and it paled in comparison...so definately recommend EDT. I think it is a versatile scent, i can see it blending well in an office, nite or day or any occasion really. I also love MM Destiny, Jontue, Enjoli, Giorgio..i would be curious to see what the common notes are which are most likely white flowers. I am definately enjoying this and dries down and melds amazingly with your skin....3 or 4 spritzes and you will feel lovely wearing this. Although i don't smoke, i know this is the type of fragrance that would smell great ie. in a niteclub lol...i love fragrances like that! Again EDT instead of cologne is the way to go if you have not liked the cologne version...consider picking up the EDT!

Yeahh!! thanks to the reviewer below for alerting me to the great deal at Shoppers Drug Mart for this fragrance...50 ml edp for $20 !! Steal of a deal for sure! I was spraying this quite regularly whenever i went to my drug store...but again the only thing holding me back was the price~! So lo and behold my wish came true and it was available at an amazing price! The fragrance is lovely...fruity and ambery and very unique! Similar to Fantasy gourmand type of scent but not so heavy on the vanilla frosting. I love fantasy too! As well as Fancy!!! so this fragrance was right up my alley! I may pick up another bottle to have on hand!

I am reviewing the edp. This is extremely different than the edt which doesn't smell as deep as compared to the edp. The edp just melts into your skin and smells like powder and iris to me...very clean and soothing..i love to spray it on after my shower before going to sleep i feel very clean and comforting. Lovely scent, nice break from my other scents which i have plenty of....i think i will always have this in my fragrance wardrobe. Would love to try the bath powder..hard to find though!

Wonderful scent...i have the orig. fantasy and midnight fantasy. This one is not as sweet and gourmand...more citrusy fresh with a bit of woody drydown along the lines of sjp nyc or light blue. Nice everyday fragrance whenyou want to smell fresh and sweet...citrus, strawberry/raspberry scent....good office scent or casual or anytime you want to smell nice.

I have had an on and off love affair with fragrance over the years - i remember loving it in the nineties. I would purchase the fragrance again some 10 years later...but ended up swapping it again. I recently repurchased today actually - it was only 19.99 so the price was right. I sprayed on the sample and automatically started to rekindle fond memories i had for this scent...fruity and fresh at the same time. Lasting power is amazing and sillage as we all know is amazing too. I think it is a classic that will never go out of style. I think it is a nice change from all the caramel cupcake vanilla scents that are all the rage right now....mind you i have several of those also...fantasy, heiress, fancy, mariah...but for a change i am welcoming the appley fruity melony and flowery sweetness from Escape!!

Hair Color -Clairol - Natural Instincts Hair Color
fcirone1 2/14/2010 11:15:00 AM
i colored last nite using the egyptian plum shade. Got great results. It does make your hair darker but in the light you can see a reddish/plummy color highlight to it. Your hair comes out softer and shiney as well. The color treatment is great and wished it came in larger sizes so i could purchase it. i had purchased 2 boxes thinking i would need 2 since my hair is mid back length and thick and curly and one box seems to do the trick!!! Not bad for someone used to spending on average $80-$100 on haircolor alone!! I'll see how long this lasts.............. Application is fairly easy and what i did after was comb it thru to ensure even application.......... I would recommend it for a no committment coloring product. I want to try maybe the rosewood or the golden brown shades like Pecan/hotcoca next time. :)

OMG what a beautiful fragrance!!! Got this today, 50 ml edp spray for $20.00, what a deal!!! Had tested it before but decided to wait until it goes on sale as celebrity fragranceds tend to do! Loving this, I can see myself loving this as much as Fantasy!~!! Maybe even more! Sprayed this on and it softens to a lovely ambery smell with hints of marshmallow but not overly sweet, very well balanced fragrance. I had gotten a compliment on it once when i tested it in the summer from a man.....i can see men going crazy over this one!! Bottle is lovely too, with heavy sort of glass, giving it an expensive feel to it. Well done Mariah!!!

Shampoo -Aveda - Black Malva Shampoo and Conditioner
fcirone1 1/3/2010 11:24:00 PM
Pleasantly surprised!!! HG for sure!! I read the review on this product and decided to pick up a tube of it today. It is $29.95 CAD but i figured still cheaper than redying my hair. I have naturally dark brown hair and i had a highlighting fiasco and decided to color it a dark burgundy. Color was nice but it faded soon in less than a month to a brassy brown color. I used this the first time. I was nervous that it would turn black but the result was a deeper shade of brown and toned down red highlights. The burgundy was not so bright. I am going to leave it on 30 min next time. I life it for about 10-12 mins as i got nervious when i saw how dark it looked. Result is very natural rich brown shade. I wouldn't mind going darker by leaving it on longer. The SA tried to talk me into getting the clove but i figure it may not do much so i risked it and got the black malva and glad i did. i don't think the clove would be as effective on me. SA suggested i get a gloss and then use the malva every week to maintain color..............i think i'll try that but for now i'm going to see how dark i can get it using this product. Nice way until my dark brown color grows out again. I'm going to see about getting the larger bottle!!! Highly recommended!!! HG for sure. I won't have to color as often.!!!

Styling Products -Garnier - FRUCTIS Sleek and Shine - Leave-in Conditioning Cream
fcirone1 11/3/2009 9:09:00 AM
Pleasantly surprised! I have thick, curly, highlighted/color treated hair so i wanted something that would help condition it in between days. I bought this conditioner as i read good things about it and i didn't want to spend an arm and an leg on expensive leave in. Amazing...on par with other more expensive leave ins like Paul Mitchell, Sebastian. Not greasy, controls frizzies. I applied it on one side of my head and what a difference!! Tames fly aways, conditions hair. Can use daily!!! I can see this being good as a cream to defrizz if you straighten your hair. Repels moisture too...i can see this being great in hot humid weather!!! So glad to have found this and highly recommend!!!

I am soooo loving this right now. Perfect Fall/winter fragrance. I feel so special when i wear this. It actually puts me in a better mood i find. Sort of perks me up when im feeling down. I spray it on a few time thru the day.......and actually it goes quite soft. I find it actually doesn't last too long on the skin but more so if you spray it on your hair or clothes. I want to try the body powder, oil, and lotion. Wonderful fragrance, very distinctive. I highly recommend!!!
