Concealers -L'Oreal - True Match Super Blendable Crayon Concealer

This is the best crayon concealer I've used. The only real con I have with this is that the lightest (W1-2-3) is nowhere near light enough for my NC15-20 skin. Maybe go with the neutral shades next.

I am seriously going back to buy every color. These are amazing. They leave my lips softer than my blistex.. And I have really dry lips. I have 205 which is the light pink. It almost looks scary baby pink on the lid, but it's actually the perfect soft pink lip color. It's similar to my natural lip color, but gives it a nice sheen that lasts a long time. Love!

Crème -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Repair Absolute
fallen46 11/18/2012 11:21:00 PM
Very nice foundation. Matches my skin tone nicely (light ivory- NC20) and didn't get too heavy. After a 12 hour day it lasted, and even had a coworker ask what makeup I was using because it looked so good at the end of the day! She thought it was MAC. I apply this with a blush brush, and what I love about it is that I can double it up on trouble areas so I don't need concealer anymore. Nice job L'oreal.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Blush 831E Pearlescent Pink

In love with this! I was using Rimmel's Santa Rose for a while, but was unimpressed so I began looking elsewhere. I saw good reviews for Nars Deep Throat, and just as I was beginning to convince myself to purchase it I red a review that this one by Wet and Wild was a good dupe for it. So I went to Walmart and picked it up. I love that it is so pigmented, so you only need a little. Even if you overdo it, it is easy to buff out. There is sparkle in the packaging, but I don't really see it on my face. Definitely worth the three dollars!!! :)

I liked this, just didn't love it. I liked the color, but I found to get enough color onto my cheeks I had to scrub my brush into it like a mad woman. Just seemed wasteful that I had to pile it onto my brush to get the color.

Liquid -NARS - Sheer Glow Foundation
fallen46 8/25/2012 6:23:00 PM
I got the sample of this in the shade Barcelona (I think) at the same time as I got Lancome's Teint in 7w, and they were a good match together. Hands down would pick Teint Idole over Nars Sheer Glow. It was an ok choice of color (I'm NC 25). Very yellow which was nice. But it was almost too yellow, bordering orange. It faded off in patches and would look uneven. Not as much coverage as Lancome did. So if anyone got the shade Barcelona, I would recommend Teint Idole in 7w.

BB Cream -Maybelline - Dream Fresh 8-in-1 BB Cream
fallen46 8/25/2012 2:10:00 PM
Ok let's all be honest here. This is not a BB cream by any means. This product is a tinted moisturizer. It is way to sheer and runny to be anything close to a BB cream. This is why I gave it a 3/5. I WOULD repurchase however because I found it does a great job as a primer. I put this on after my daily moisturizer, then put some concealer on and some foundation. This does dilute redness and imperfections a tad, and I found that if you leave a thicker layer on, and don't completely rub it into your skin it does give some more coverage. Oh and it's pink toned (I have shade Medium and I'm around a NC25 right now). Good primer for my skin, bad BB cream. L'Oreal's is much better. Oh and the packaging is not good. I do not like the tube.. gets very messy.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Now-100% Vegetable Glycerine

I also use this in my homemade vitamin C serum. I sprinkle my hand with a pinch of powdered ascorbic acid, just enough water to dissolve the powder, and ONE drop of veggie glycerin. Any more any you'll be left with that sticky feeling on your face (which takes hours for it to absorb into my skin). Lovely versatile product!

Love this! Kept oil at bay and prolonged my makeup. Repurchase? No. Severely clogged my pores. I had little bumped all over my face that would turn into white heads if I didn't get around to extracting them. Very said because I love this so, but I would rather have clear skin.

Concealers -Maybelline - Dream Lumi Touch

I really like this for under the eyes, and even a little on a blemish if it's really dark to brighten it up a bit. The biggest complaint is the packaging. I do like the clicky-twist because it doesn't give out too much all at once. My issue is that you get so little product in this thing. Yes its cheaper because it's drugstore, but I had to repurchase after less than 2 months because it was empty, and I only use it under the eye. So for the 8 dollars I got it for, I would spend over 40 dollars a year on this thing. No thanks. I have concealers that do almost the same job just as well that last a lot longer.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Mega Plush
fallen46 6/16/2012 12:09:00 AM
LOVE! I usually use Full and Soft by Maybelline, but saw this and decided to try it out. It leaves my lashes super soft, doesn't smear for me, no flakes, and lasts my long days. The gel formula is amazing for me. It goes onto clean lashes beautifully and doesn't clump at all, seperates the lashes nice. I too am suprised by the low ratings, which goes to show you can't always rely on reviews about makeup, because everyone expects, wants, and needs different things. Worth a shot in my opinion! EDIT: Oh yes I forgot to mention. My issues with mascaras are that because my eyes are more deep set, the upper lashes rub against my lid under the brow, and would always leave black lines. Even after wiping them off they would come back from the mascara. This one doesn't do that (maybe because of the gel?). Just thought I'd put that out there in case someone has this same issue.

BB Cream -Marcelle - BB Cream Beauty Balm
fallen46 5/28/2012 12:58:00 AM
I actually really like this. Nice yellow tone for me skin so it matches nicely, the pump is great, only need one pump to cover whole face, and helps with redness. I don't mind that there's no SPF because I put it on before my makeup anyway. Reading other comments made me decide to stop using it and not to repurchase. Why? Because lots of people end up breaking out from this from the silicones. It never claimed to be non comodegenic (spelling?) But it scared me enough to stop using it because I'm trying to get my acne under control. Sad really.. I liked this product. Think I'm going to order a different beauty balm. UPDATE* Yup. Once I stopped using I stopped breaking out. Yucky silicones!

I love this concealer! My only complaint is that it isn't sold in Canada and the ebay user that I bought my tube from isn't there anymore.. Bummer! Really nice coverage but doesn't look cakey and hides redness really good. The color I got was a bit darker than expected but I can still use it for when I'm a bit more tanned. I hope I can find this elsewhere online!

Liquid -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Smooth Absolute
fallen46 2/7/2012 1:53:00 PM
The thing that is really holding me back on this foundation is the applicator and the color selection. I'm not fair, but I am not very tan either. The colors made my face look either pink and too pale, or else too dark and not matching my neck color. Lasting power is pretty good, although I think my Revlon C/S lasts a lot longer and had a pretty good match for my skin. I think next time I'm going to try the other formula of this with the pump and not the brush, because the brush applicator kind of disgusts me. I have acne prone skin, and so having to watch that brush so much is super annoying, not to mention I find it wasteful. Another downside to the applicator is that it is one of those 'click and turn' ones. I hate those. I feel they rip you off of quantity of product and also super wasteful. Other than that the product itself is pretty good. If I don't find something better for me I would continue to use, but switch to the other one with the pump.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Honey
fallen46 12/26/2011 10:39:00 AM
I have been using this as a spot treatment for acne flair ups. My skin was getting pretty good, then all of a sudden (I'm guessing it was stress due to school) I got the worst acne I have ever gotten before. I'm getting pimples around the corners around my mouth and out towards the middle of my cheeks. I have been desperately searching for spot treatments to help me out and I have finally found one! What I do is mix 3tbsp of honey (that I picked up from Walmart for less than $5) with 1tsp of cinnamon and keep it in a little container. When I feel the bumps coming or can feel those nasty sore pimples underneath the surface on their way, I take a bit of this at the end of my night-time routine and slather it on the spot. Because I don't want it rubbing off on my pillow cases and therefore wasting the product and having it not work, I rip up a tissue and lightly tap on shreds of the tissue. I found this trick works great. This way you're ensuring the product is staying on there and working. Not to mention in the morning this honey and cinnamon mixture is super easy to come off. This is what else I am using during the night: 1st: Wash with oatmeal and/or Clean and Clear makeup dissolving facewash. 2nd: I am using Boots Protect and Renew Serum for scars. I try not to get this on existing pimples just in case. 3rd: I put on Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Treatment 3-in-1 moisturizing gel 4th: I also follow the Neutrogena with a small and light application of Benzagel 5 Acne gel (%5) on spots and SPOTS ALONE to dry those suckers up. 5th: I follow with a very light Cetaphil Moisturizer. Less than the size of a dime, rub it in my hands, then lightyl pat it on my face. I try not to put in on my forehead too much because I find it doesn't help with oily-ness and that is where my face is the most oily. 6th: This is where I put my honey treatment on and cover it with the little pieces of tissue. You don't want to press down hard on the tissue... they will stay in place because of the sticky honey... and you risk pushing the mixture around and having it end up not on the spot you wish to treat. I leave this overnight. I can't believe how much of a difference this has made. My sore pimples become unsore, and acne about to emerge ends up going away and I never see it again. I saw changes after my first night of pimple reduction, and continuing after nightly use. I have also read some leave this honey-cinnamon mask all over the face during the day for about 10 minutes. I tried this and will never do it again. I don't know if I just left it on a little too long, but it started to sting and made my face super red with harsh red patches that day. I think I will just stick to spot treatment. Hope this review helps!
