Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Sexy Little Things Noir

Eh....the atomizer sucks! Luckily I bought a gift set with a mini perfume with a regular spritzer and have been using that. The scent is sexy a little berryish/musky, however it doesn't last long not even with layering. Luckily I bought a gift set for only about $33 so I'm not too bummed.
Palettes -Stila - Barbie Loves Stila All Doll'd Up Palette (2009)
fabulous_crystal 10/2/2009 1:28:00 PM
wow! i too am a shadow-pallette skeptic since i have SO many high quality shadows. i read the reviews on this and decided to go for it. what a great pallette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the colors look so much better on than they do in the pans, the colors are all so vibrant. my favorite is the shimmery/purple/pewter wedged between the teal and purple. i've been looking for this color years now and i finally found it!
Makeup Brushes -Sonia Kashuk - Bent Eyeliner Brush

Wow! why did it take me SO long to buy this?! i didn't have such great luck with fluidlines, but this brush is perfect with Lancomes Artliner, liquid liner. must have for liquid liner! absolutely!
Eyeliner -MAC - Penultimate Eye Liner - Rapidblack
fabulous_crystal 12/31/2008 11:03:00 AM
Okay--so the liner isn't as pigmented as it could be, this is true. However, because of this it makes it a good daily liner. If I want to dress it up I go over it with my Fluidline. I find it really easy to use, and is SO much cheaper than Stila. I have really oily lids/face and I don't have a problem with fading. I will buy this over and over again and hope they come out in a carbon black one for night.
Palettes -Tarte - The Vanity Limited Edition Palette
fabulous_crystal 12/28/2008 3:52:00 PM
Most eyeshadows are **totally** chalky. The one that works the best is the silvery one, which actually has a powdery silky texture like regular Tarte eyeshadows and the purple quilted eyeshadow pallette, now that was a good deal. So in a nutshell, about 5 eyeshadows are good while the rest are BLEH. I LOVE deep dark purple and dirty shimmery moss green which this pallette has, but it was SO hard to apply and creased even with Urban Decay primer potion. The blushes are alright as is the highlighter. And I do agree that the bronzer seemed to rub off faster than the regular full-sized one. I didn't return this because honestly, 5 tarte eyeshadows and blushes/highlighter would cost more. But it really isn't that great of a deal and kind of dissapointing since I was expecting the eyeshadow quality of the eyeshadow pallette. ALL of those eyeshadows were pigmented and soft.
time consuming junk. don't waste your money on on the program or any of the "extras" Clearasil Ultra wash works better than the entire program. plus this really stains my towels! even though the Clinique Acne moisturizer has the same % of benzoyl peroxide, that does not stain my towels or pillow cases, so yeah, i recommend Clearasil Ultra Wash (in the tube) with Clinique Acne moisturizer for those of you with oily rough skin
Um, why have i not tried essie polishes before???!!!??? i always thought the square little bottles were drab so i kept on buying much flashier OPI, what a mistake!!! i love the quality of essie, i have never used a polish so light without such un-streakishness:) perfect color for everyday, can't wait to try more!!!
Eh. Usually Too Faced has AWESOME products that I prefer over Mac and the other brands, but this is kinda mediocre for them. Luckily I got this as part of Sephora's Red Carpet Kit and I don't feel bad for purchasing it. Anyway, it doesn't change color on me because I'm lucky enough to be stuck in air-conditioning almost all day and the smell doesn't bother me. It's a whole lot of nothing in a cheap thick plastic squeeze tube. Just plain 'ol lipshine. Doesn't moisturize or dry my lips out. Not worth buying on it's own.
Bronzers -Too Faced - The Bronzed & the Beautiful Bronzing Powder
fabulous_crystal 8/2/2008 1:53:00 PM
Yet another Too Faced winner!!!! Yay! I already had Sun Bunny in another palette but wanted Snow Bunny, for a few extra bucks I picked up three awesome bronzers with a high-quality brush. What a deal!!! So Sun Bunny is a warm bronze, Snow Bunny is a cool-pinky-bronze, and the Leopard bronzer is more of a highlighter to me. The flat-buki brush is GREAT! So soft and works well with the bronzers. I don't EVER use brushes that come with products but will definately use this. Buy it from Victoria's Secret because it is $28 instead of $35 as it is at Sephora or Too Faced. That's like a lunch at Panera or Taco Bell LOL
Foundations -Urban Decay - Surreal Skin Mineral Makeup

I got this in the color trance after getting bored of MAC blot (good product, but so tired of buying it over and over again:) Plus, I was looking for something with coverage. Anyway, I got it in Trance and it suits my light/medium olive skintone great. I have many small acne blemishes and this makes them less noticeable, tames the redness down. I puff it it on with the attached applicator and then blend it with my Lancome powder brush and that works well since I'm too clumsy to take the top off. Color doesn't turn orange or weird and it feels ultra lightweight. Also it doesn't give me pimples or rashes or anything:) The only thing I don't like is that I have to blot my t-zone a couple times throughtout the day but that's nothing some bathroom tissue won't fix. Pretty happy with this, though. I've had good product luck lately:)
WOW! My love affair with Cliniques superdefense has ended!!!! I love love love love this stuff! It is so moisturizing but not greasy, and the spf of 28 is great. I use so much drying stuff to calm my acne and this definately makes my skin feel and look better without making me so oily. Also, doesn't give me a "white" glow, no weird color at all:) I actually look forward to applying this. The light lemony-citrusy scent is okay, I guess, for the price I can't complain this is awesome and everyone should try it! I think I need to take another look at drugstore skincare items! I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and it has not clogged up my skin and I actually do see an improvement in skin tone. Although this "improvement" is probably due to having properly moisturized skin not because of any special claim made on the product label.

Blah. Does nothing different than Philosophys purity but is much more expensive, $30 for 3 oz. I bought two thinking this was going to be my HG moisturizer, but after using for three weeks I see no difference. What a waste of money. At least it didn't irritate my skin.
Love this! The bronzer, blush, and exclusive bronzer/highlighter are awesome as are the eyeshadows. I've never been able to find a great spring green eye color and this has it! I do think a few of the eyeshadows look a like, but they are all really wearable shimmery soft colors. My favorites are Label Whore (a silvery brown), Astro turf (light lime green) and Lovey Dovery (nudeish shimmer that doesn't wash me out or look too glittery) The Beauty Balm is awesome as are the other lipglosses, the only things I don't care for are the lipsticks. Finally a palette with EVERYTHING (blush, lipstick, balm, gloss, lip plumper, eyeliner, eyeshadow, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadows, mascara) of the same exact quality as the the "real" things. Great to travel with as it has everything except the brushes to do your makeup with. You can tramp it up or have a really soft low-key sophisticated look, as well as anything in between. Can't wait to run out an buy the fullsizes of some of this stuff!
Moisturizers -Clinique - Superdefense SPF 25 Age Defense Moisturizer
fabulous_crystal 5/26/2008 8:33:00 PM
ah, clinique superdefense. i love the combo/oil formula and is currently my HG moisturizer. great basic moisturizer with a high spf. doesn't make me break out, isn't greasy, moisturizes, and doesn't smell weird (didn't really smell like anything to me) one problem: the price. right now, 39.95 is just not that affordable:( however, i will continue buying it even if i have to set up a piggy bank just for this lotion:)
Moisturizers -Laura Geller - Moisture compound spf 30
fabulous_crystal 5/26/2008 5:38:00 PM
well, if you are able to get the contents out of the package, the cream is pretty nice. i have a super greasy acne-prone skin type and this did not make me too shiny or harm my skin, unfortunately the pump mechanism broke the SECOND day i used the lotion and haven't been able to get the product out. i've tried every trick!!!! anyway, back to sephora it goes, and what a shame, because the price, quality, and spf of the lotion are great put the packaging majorly sucks:(
