Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Veet Ready to Use Wax Strips - Normal to Dry Skin
fabmac1 5/19/2013 1:45:00 AM
I got mine at walmart for about $11CDN. It came with 20 sheets (10 sheets double sided) and 4 aftercare wipes. To me, I found that kinda pricey for the amount you get. The application was quick and easy. I didn't find it hurt much (if at all). I'm used to epilating so waxing is nothing for me in terms of pain. It did an "ok" job in removing my hair. It pulled some of the hairs out by the roots, but other's it didn't get. I found that I could use 1 strip 2-3x for diffferent areas. I read from somewhere that you should just use the strip once and discard, but it seems like a waste to just use it once when there was plenty of wax left. All in all, i guess i was happy with the results. Would I buy this again? I said I would, but only if i could get it on sale. It's definitely better than shaving!!
Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
fabmac1 5/9/2013 5:54:00 PM
I received a sample of extra virgin organic coconut oil from my mom. She bought a huge tub of it from costco. I tried this on my face and it didn't work very well. My face become itchy and uncomfortable. I have hyper-sensitive skin on my face, so this reaction didn't surprise me. I will still to my EM (egyptian magic) as my eye cream and facial moisturizer. I use coconut oil as a body moisturizer and I LOVE it. Yes, it's greasy but it doesn't stay greasy for very long. Also, my skin feels moisturized for hours... the whole day even! The coconut scent is subtle and not very strong - which is a plus. Seeing as how this is all natural, it will now become my daily moisturizer of choice. I still have a few tubs of BBW lotions for those times where i don't want to content with the "greasy" feel of coconut oil...but overall, more often this [coconut oil] will be my moisturizer of choice! I also tried this on my hair but it was a FAIL since my hair is naturally very greasy. Applying even the smallest amount of coco oil makes it looks extremely greasy. Still... i love this stuff!
I can understand all the negative reviews on this product. I don't hate it...but I wouldn't repurchase. Here's why. I had my hair colored a while back from a salon. I spend quite a bit on it... $300. It was nice...but not worth the money. I had some copper highlights and my hair has grown out now so the roots are showing. I decided to go back to coloring my hair at home since it's much cheaper. (for reference: I have colored my hair at home many times so i'm not a newbie) While I like how the color generally turned out (intense red auburn - I think that's the one i got)... it didn't color ALL my hair. The copper highlights I had didn't even get colored at all! I even left the dye in my hair for longer than the stated time. The overall color is very nice tho. A deep red auburn. I just wish it colored all parts of my hair. :(
OMG!!! This IS the perfect nude!! I bought this cuz I ran out of my MAC Half 'n Half and I didn't want to spend so much on getting another one. I heard so many ppl rave about FN so i decided to give it a shot. I got mine at walmart for about $6US. I just tried it on today with no liner or anything... just on bare lips and it's gorgeous!!! I have really pigmented lips and FN nudes them out perfectly! It's not the kind of nude that makes you look like you're a corpse as well. It has the perfect amount of pinkiness to it. The texture is a bit drying tho for some reason so I will be using a good lip balm underneathe this lipstick. Also, I agree with the smell, it's very strong and artificial. I don't find it pleasant at all!! However, despite the flaws... i definitely would repurchase tho!!
Palettes -Unlisted Brand - BH Cosmetics - 120 Color Palette 1st Edition

For the price and the amount of colors you get, it's definitely worth it! Not all the shadows are pigmented tho. Some colors have little to no color pay off, whereas some have great color pay off. Lasting ability is good. I noticed little fading throughout the day. I said I would repurchase cuz it is a good deal for the selection of colors you get, but I probably wouldn't need to repurchase again. Shipping is awesome! I received my order in a little over a week and I live in Canada!
This is a very nice pale blue. It kinda like pastel blue actually. I bought this to use on my waterline. Sometimes white can be a bit too harsh and nude, I don't find brightens enough. This for me is the best of both worlds! I wish it did last longer on my waterline but for the priced and quality, I would definitely be buying a backup :) Goes on very creamy, like all of the other colors in the Scandaleyes Kajal kohl pencil line :)
I really need to stop getting suckered in by commercials lol. I got this bc I thought it would give the 'false' lash effect especially with the "so-called" lengthening fibres. This did nothing. The formula was dry and dry....and oh, did I mention.... DRY?! The result was hard brittle spider looking lashes!! GROSS. Also during the day... a fibre or 2 from the mascara fell into my eyes and caused it to keep watering annoyingly. It also ruined all the under eye makeup I had on! I will stick to the L'oreal Voluminous mascara and never stray away again!!
I was previously using the Milani Liquifeye eye liner but they started giving me a bad reaction. Also, the Milani eyeliners weren't very accessible around where I live. When i heard about the Rimmel Scandaleyes kajal eyeliners on youtube, I HAD to rush out and try it!!! I got this for less than $6CDN at walmart. I have this in Brown and Nude. The brown is the exact shade of brown i wanted (well not really the sparkles part, but meh.) It's a deep rich brown with some sparkles - kind of reminds me of the color of soil for some reason - a rich rich dark brown. I use this to tightline my eyes and it lasts a pretty long time. I will be going back to get more of these for sure!!! I have already purchased back ups for both colors and I plan on getting more!!
Eyeliner -Rimmel - Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Nude

I was looking for a nude eyeliner since white can sometimes be too harsh. I didn't want to spend so much money getting the Stila one so i was hoping they had a d/s one. I was super exciting when i found out that Rimmel had one and rushed to Walmart ASAP. It's a kajal pencil so it's soft and creamy and also waterproof (apparently). I love the color of this and how it so pigmented. I use this to line my waterline. it lasts a pretty long time and makes my eyes look bigger and brighter. I also got this in 003 (?) Brown :) will definitely be going back to buy backups!
I got this as a gift from my Aunt, but I also know this mascara is quite expensive as well. I heard a lot of raves about Hypnose so when i got this as a gift i was ecstatic!!! To be honest, after using this a couple times, I can truly say I absolutely HATE IT. Maybe I got a bad one, but this stuff takes FOREVER to dry. It's super wet and it did nothing for my lashes. Did i mention that it NEVER dries??? I get smearing on my bottom lashes as well. I also can't curl my lashes after cuz the mascara would get stuck on my curler!!! I know that some say you shouldn't curl after mascara, but i just press gently :) i will stick to my drugstore HG mascara - L'oreal Voluminous carbon black, thank you very much.
LOVE this scent! I have the body cream only though. Nice fruity and fresh scent. I love how my clothes smell after as well :P Will definitely buy again...maybe in the body splash too :)
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Vanilla Bean Noel Body Cream
fabmac1 4/11/2013 6:11:00 PM
The first time I got this scent was several years back (5+yrs). Back then I loved the scent...warm vanilla and sugar. Smells like sugar cookies!! I kept repurchasing year after year during the holidays cuz I loved it so much!! Unfortunately a couple years back i noticed the scent just wasn't the same as before. Like another reviewer mentioned, it smells like fake vanilla and plastic.... Too bad, I really really did love this scent before. I will stick to my HG Black Raspberry Vanilla now.
Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
fabmac1 4/2/2013 9:41:00 PM
I too have heard so many great raves about this line of shadows from beauty gurus on youtube. I am not one to buy d/s eyeshadows cuz I always found they are below par in terms of quality. For the price, the quality is "OK". The darkest color has good pigmentation, but the lighter ones i find i needed to layer on or at least apply a cream base for it to show up (which i do even with higher end shadows). The big downfall happened when some shadow fall out ended up in my eyes irritating my contacts, and in turn, irritated my eyes and made them hurt. I have never had this experience with any other shadows - only this one! Based on this experience alone, i would not repurchase or reuse. It's going in the trash. 1 lippie for affordable price 1 lippie for decent quality

I heard so many ppl rave about this product so i decided to take the plunge and pick one up at Costco. Even at Costco i found the price a bit steep. $40 for a 4oz tub and also came with a smaller tub (2oz) for travelling or to put in your purse. At first I was worried about using this on my face due to the olive oil content but figured, I already spent the money and if any reaction occurs I'll just use it for targeted areas (elbows, knees, feet). First time I used this.. .i had to get used to the greasy feeling. It's almost like vaseline to be honest, but unlike vaseline (on my skin) it absorbs completely into my skin. I wake up with soft and moisturized NON greasy skin! Yes, it does take a while to absorb, but I use this before bed so to me, it's a non issue. I use this as an eye cream as well. Even just as an eyecream, the price is worth it cuz we all know how expensive eye creams are!! and you only get 15ml lol. With EM you get a WHOLE LOT more. I notice that the redness I have on my face has gone away and this works wonders on my eczema!! Cures it in a couple nights! I haven't tried this on my hair yet (don't plan on it) since my hair gets oily very fast. As for the tub: yes it's not very hygenic, but I use a small spatula to get the amount i need. Also, if this were in a tube, I'm sure you'd get a lot less product, so I'll take the tub container, thank you! :) Scent: Not sure what it smells like... wouldn't say it's pleasant or unpleasant. It's all natural so doesn't really matter to me. Plus, I only use this at night anyways. I would repurchase when i run out. This stuff is great!!! ***UPDATE*** - LOVE this stuff even more. Shocking thing is - I have HYPERSENSITIVE skin on my face so everything seems to break it out. Sometimes not right away...but eventually it will end up breaking out or clogging the pores in my skin!! I have been using EM for about 2 months now and NO break outs!!! yay EM!
I got the tube version of this with the "new look" so it looks a bit different. I was at walmart and decided to pick this up since i was missing a hand cream in my purse and it was less than $1. I LOVE the smell of this!!! smells like shampoo actually lol. Moisturizes okay. i wouldn't say it's super moisturizing. it's more on the light side but it does leave my hands really nice and soft!!! Nonetheless, i would definitely buy it again esp for the cheap price, the WONDERFUL smell... leaves my hands super soft and silky ^__^
