Hair -L'Oreal - excellence hi color
exsupahero 6/7/2006 9:56:00 PM
I dyed my medium-dark brown hair with Hi-Color Soft Brown and it came out very nice. My hair is alot lighter without having to bleach it and I love the simplicity of the product. It doesn't look brassy whatsoever and I plan on buying this product again. :) The price is a bit expensive at ~$6 and you would have to buy the 30 oreor creme bottle (one large bottle is sufficient for many dye jobs) but since I have fine hair, I could just use half a tube. Overall, great product; definitely my favorite hair color. The only thing I don't like is the metal tube. Meh.

Hair Color -Wella - Color Charm Demi-Permanent Hair Color
exsupahero 8/28/2005 10:21:00 PM
So, I wanted to get rid of my "summer" hair even though I've never honestly liked it. It was this coppery blonde color and although the color is great, I hated it. I decided I wanted to go back to my dark brown hair color and decided Wella was going to do the trick. I had decided on one certain color but when I got to Sallys, I was overwhelmed by all the different colors they had. I'm such an indecisive person! but I ended up getting 'Chestnut' in their demi-permenant creme dye. The creme stuff out of the tube came out orange but when it dried on my hair, it was brown. The sample they put out was this light cinnamoney brown color and since we're supposed to go down one or two shades lighter than our intended color (I chose to go down 1 shade), I thought 'Chestnut' would be nice. Well, I liked the color alot because it's dark and not so "cheap" looking (I think blonde makes me look cheap) BUT it had this really red tint. The base of this dye is red but I didn't think it was going to be really obvious, ya know? I'm fine with the red b/c it'll wash out. Otherwise, I'm so happy to be a brunette again! I can walk around without feeling like something is judging me by my hair. ;] Tips for ya MUAers... definitely go down two shades or so. If you want a light brown color, stick to the blondish color. Brown will just come out DARK! But I like it that way.

Hair -L'Oreal - Feria Haircolor Hi-Lift Browns

What would have otherwise been a really pretty color turned some part of my hair greyish/blue. I bought 'Downtown Brown' which is b61 and it really did lighten my dark brown hair. What you do need to know is that it turned the bleached part of my hair (either bleached or blonde) hair grey/blue so I'm assuming that this is an ashy brown color. If it wasn't for that, I would have loved the color.

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis XXL Volume Thickening Mousse Extreme
exsupahero 6/18/2005 9:26:00 AM
This mousse is like no other. I've tried other volumizing mousses and they did nothing for me. This makes my hair less flat when blowdried and it's cheap! It doesn't make my hair stiff nor sticky but provides the kind of hold my hair needs. I don't have big Texas hair but if I went in and blowdried at the root, I might be able to achieve it with this. ;)

Lotions/ Creams -Queen Helene - Mango and Coco Butter Lotion
exsupahero 6/18/2005 9:22:00 AM
I looove the scent. I love this more than my St.Ives Whipped Silk lotion now! I got the HUGE bottle for $2 last night and I used it today when going out with my friend and she asked me why I smelled so good. haha It's a great scent. It doesn't over power at all. It moisterize like lotion should and I hope that if I use it everyday on my legs (the way I use lotions on my arm), maybe I can get rid of my dry skin. :) Buy the lotion! It smells great, is cheap, and it'll last a long time.

I bought the new MegaLast Strengthening Nail Polish in 'Blind Date' #209 and I love the color. It's a nude gold, slightly shimmery color. I don't know if it'll strengthen my nails but it dried really fast (I only put one coat on). The color is beautiful and simple. I've been looking for something like this for awhile now so I'll definitely will keep using it. :) You should try this if you're looking for something pretty, nude, and cheap.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Twist and Shine-Lip Polish
exsupahero 6/18/2005 9:13:00 AM
I bought this in In A Spin which is a pinkish peach color. It makes your lip really sticky and I don't know what I should do combat it. Maybe some chapstick? I don't know but I like the color. The stores weren't selling any lip tints really so I decided to buy something that has some color but wasn't too glossy. This will make your lip shine but in no way glossy. I'd buy it again.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Vitamin E & Aloe Colour Revitalizing Shampoo
exsupahero 6/18/2005 8:27:00 AM
I actually bought this on a whim yesterday and I love the shampoo/conditioner. My hair is much softer and so much cleaner. I also use the L'Oreal Professionnel Vitamino but have found out that it does cause some buildup because when I washed my hair with this shampoo this morning, my highlights were actually... bright! Even though my highlights are beginning to fade, I know this shampoo will clean my hair the way it should be and protect it. I'm not asking for too much from a shampoo because in the end, I'll end up having to redo my highlights anyways... but as long as there's something that will help me clean it without stripping. I got it for 3 bucks for the giant bottle. CHEAP!!

Lotions/ Creams -St. Ives - Whipped Silk Body Moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
exsupahero 6/14/2005 6:44:00 AM
I love the scent of this lotion. Target had it on clearance for like, a buck fifty and I thought since I needed lotion, I'd get it. I use it everyday on my arms and it's great. It's moisterizing but if you're really dry, I don't think it'd work so great for you. I don't know if Target is discontinuing this product but I hope they're not! This lotion is great for me. :)

Lip Gloss -New York Color - Liquid Lip Shine in Sungold Pink
exsupahero 6/14/2005 6:39:00 AM
I didn't like this lipgloss so much. It really is frosty and it was just too much for my lips. It's pink with gold shimmers and the shimmers were overpowering. Don't lick your lips either b/c it's pretty nasty! Sure, it only cost me $2 and I'm definitely not lacking BUT it would have been nice to use it towards something else that I'll like better and is not tacky on.

Blush -Almay - Nearly Naked Touch Pad Liquid Blush - Berry Nude
exsupahero 6/14/2005 6:35:00 AM
This blush is pretty rad. I love how sheer it is and how natural it looks. I normally buy the cheapy blush but decided to venture outside the $2-3 powder blush and move onto something more "grow-up" and refined. I do have to layer it on just because it's so sheer (I'm olived- tone, light- skinned chick) but it's pretty amazing. It's not that expensive but I'm trying to adjust to the price of moving away from the cheapy stuff. It does go on kinda berry-ish but not in a purple kind of way. Just prettty!

Shampoo -L'Oreal - L'Oreal Professionnel Color Guard System Vitamino Color Shampoo
exsupahero 6/14/2005 6:27:00 AM
I got this based on the reviews from other MUAers and I have to say that I like this shampoo! It's a bit expensive for such a small bottle but it has made my hair looking alot better! Of course I don't have anything else to compare this to but my highlights are definitely brighter (and cleaner looking). I use this with the Aussie 3 minute conditioner and my hair is totally prettty, soft and fine. :) Oh, and the scent is h.e.a.v.e.n.l.y!! Definitely not overpowering! Edit: Okay, so I still love the scent from this shampoo but I must say... it causes buildup. I have found another shampoo that does the same thing (but actually cleans my hair w/o stripping it) for much, much cheaper. Oh, and my highlights are actually not dull with the other shampoo either. I will be alternate between this and my other one but after this runs out, I won't be buying it again. It's a good shampoo and all, but it isn't great.
