This stuff really works!!!!! Plumps up my fine shoulder length hair like crazy. The most impressive part is it adds height and volume at my crown and all over the top of my hair - and I have really long layers. It adds enough texture to my hair so I don't even have to use hairspray!
I finally gave in to all the hype and purchased the Mia online and I am so glad I did!!! I got it at skinstore.com while it was 20% off last month, so I felt like I got a great deal. I have very sensitive, very acne-prone skin with congested pores. I have tried everything under the sun for my skin - from prescription products all the way down to drugstore things. I have to say the Mia is the best thing I've ever done for my skin! I have only been using it for about a month and I can already tell a difference in my skin. My pores look cleaner and smaller and I am having fewer breakouts. Only downfall is the brush it came with (sensitive) is sometimes a bit irritating to my skin, so I ordered the delicate one and the acne one....will update once I get those and try them. This is definitely a worthwhile purchase!!!
This product doesn't seem to work that well on it's own at plumping up my hair. I was using it on my towel dried hair as the only styling product left in my hair. After blowdrying with a round brush (my normal routine) my hair didn't really seem much thicker. However, today, I tried it differently. I shampooed and conditioned with the age defy products then put this on (only my scalp) while was hair was more wet. I then wrapped my hair in a towel and did my makeup. When I was ready to dry my hair I applied a bit of my normal styling product on top of this - after blow drying with my round brush I had amazing results!!! The best so far while using this line. I was afraid it might be too much styling product in my hair and weigh it down, but I got just the opposite! My only complaint about this product is that it smells strongly of alcohol, so it probably has alcohol listed as one of its first ingredients. I noticed another reviewer said she had terrible split ends after using this for 3 weeks. I imagine all that alcohol could dry the hair out quite a bit, so I'm not sure about the continued use of this product. I will use it until it's gone (the trial size). I will evaluate the end result and post it here.
Conditioner -Pantene - Expert Collection Age Defy Conditioner

I have been using this with both the shampoo and the thickening treatment. I got all 3 in a trial size box for 9.99 at my local Walmart. They are generous trial sizes. The shampoo is around 3 ounces, 2 ounces for conditioner and not so sure about the treatment, but it seems to be staying pretty full after several uses. Out of all 3 products, I like this one the best. It is very moisturizing, but doesn't leave my hair feeling limp or coated. I will continue to use all 3 products in combination until I run out then will go back to my normal products to see how much I miss the Pantene. I have no problem paying the prices for these products as the products I usually buy are much more expensive. It's definitely worth a try!!!

I've tried this 3 times....first time was good, 2nd not so good, 3rd great! I will keep using it to see how if it has cumulative effects - maybe once the bottle is gone, my hair will truly look 10 yrs younger. All in all, I have to say I like it quite a bit so far. Will update later.
Primer/ Corrector -Colorescience - Classic Corrector Palette

My mother and I both use this palette and love it! Hands down the best concealer we've both ever tried. I am very oily and love the fact that it is a powder concealer. Mom is very dry and it works well for her too. We both use the classic palette and the colors work well for Summer as well as Winter. Only down sides are the price as it is rather expensive for a concealer and even though it works well for different seasons, neither one of us uses ALL the colors.
Lovely basic neutral beigy-ivory that I use almost daily as a base. Have repurchased several times already.
I got this in metallic teal and though it looked pretty in the little glass jar - it went on horribly. It was too waxy and skipped all along the line when I applied it with a push liner brush. Not only was it waxy it seemed "greasy" as well plus the color went on totally different from what it appeared to be in the jar and was not metallic at all.
Eye Shadow -Avon - True Color Eyeshadow Quad - ALL SHADES

I just got this last week in the latest shades - "green flash". The packaging is very nice...but the product is horrible. It has no pigmentation at all. I felt like I was trying to use side walk chalk. And.............this was with a high end primer. This was my first eyeshadow purchase from Avon and my last.
I can't live without this product!!! It makes my lashes super long - total false lash effect. It is a bit of a pain to apply though as you have to really work with it. As well....I have found that if I wait until it it mostly dry before applying mascara - the mascara doesn't go on well at all. It clumps up and looks dreadful. The sooner I can apply mascara after user the Cils Booster...the better.
I love the new brushes !! They make putting polish on a lot easier as the brush covers a larger portion of the nail. As well it seems to hold just the right amount of polish after being swiped once. This color is beautiful .... and different which is hard to find when it comes to polishes as they all seem to be the same old boring colors. I agree with the review that states it's a slight blue-toned purple.....so pretty on toes.

Did nothing for my shoulder length fine, color-treated hair. If anything it made my hair feel limp and dirty. No shine, no hold, no thickness, no volume.

Other -Crest - 3D Professional Effects White Strips
everythingblack 12/17/2011 11:53:00 PM
I have tried so many whitening products (things I didn't want to spend much money on) and nothing has worked......until these. I had a coupon for 10.00 off so I ended up paying about 45.00 at Walgreens. I am SO pleased with these and I am only half way through the 20 treatments in the box. My teeth are finally white and this is after years of drinking red wine and soda. I don't smoke or drink coffee, but I think these would work great even if I did. The very best part about these strips is that there is no taste whatsoever. WOW what a huge surprise this was! They stick like crazy - it is actually hard to pull them off and that is applying them to wet teeth. I have experienced sensitivity with other products, so I was really skeptical about having a LOT of sensitivity with this since they are the professional effects product. To counteract this I purchase the Crest toothpaste made for sensitive teeth (which is supposed to work immediately). I started using it the same day as the whitestrips and I have had no sensitivity at all. I am so amazed with these and can't say enough about them. I would frown on the price, but because they work so well, I am happy to pay the 55.00 bucks! I just hope when I stop using them the effects will last a while.
I just found one of the best foundations I have ever used. I am quite pale, but the Ivoire 2 (C) is working great for me. At first glance it appears a bit dark for me in the bottle, but when I applied it - it went on almost as a perfect match for me. I still have a tiny bit of color left over from the summer so I may have to go to Ivoire 1 in the next month or so, but right now this shade is great. I really like the thin consistency of this and the fact that it dries really fast and even when applied. I use a fresh damp sponge every day for application. I have tried fingers and foundation brushes, but neither work as well for me as a sponge. Even though I am sure I am wasting quite a bit of foundation the sponge provides the best coverage as far as covering large pores goes. This is my first week using this new foundation - if it stops working for me I will update. BTW I am 44 and have very oily skin that is very breakout prone. So far no breakouts with this either - which is extremely important to me!
