Mascara -Etude - Dr. Mascara Fixer for Perfect Lash
rated 5 of 5

This works just like the famous Anna Sui primer that is clear and dries clear but is priced at only 1/3 of its expensive twin. It is the most amazing eyelash primer I've used and at this price? I would repurchase again and again. This is definitely HG material. I always get asked if I am wearing fake eyelashes when I am using this. Anothing that I like is that this is in a tube so i can squeeze every last bit and use it all up.

Crème -Etude - BB Magic Balm SPF30/PA++
rated 5 of 5
evangelz 12/26/2009 11:08:00 PM

I feel compelled to write a review on this as the user below me seems to be reviewing the wrong product as Etude has NEVER produced or released any sample size or minis for this particular one. This has never appeared in tube form and it comes in a cylindrical tub with a free foundation blush which is so soft and blends reasonably well. I was never a fan for gwp brushes as I am a brush snob and have like 25 -30 Mac Full-sized brushes and growing. I don't even use the 213se that comes in holiday palettes. I have to say I can actually use this brush! I have tried many many bb creams and I dare say this is the best one in terms of consistancy and coverage. No other korean brands seem to have made bb creams in balm form. This is so moisturising for me. If you have very oily skin, I would recommend Coogi fowertox but for Normal to Dry skin, THIS is BB cream heaven! It covers as well as a creme foundation yet remains translucent with no heaviness on your skin. I am NC15 but due to the translucent colour, it works great for my colleague, NC25, acne prone ( Yes, she bought it after seeing it on me and she is on to her 2nd tub now) For reference, I have dry skin that is highly resistant to acne and often flakes easily with matifying bb creams from skin79 or Coogi Flowertox.

Blush -MAC - Sheertone Blush Pink Swoon
rated 2 of 5

I don't like this blush at all, it is a warm pink and it turns up red on my cheeks. Too warm for my cool skin tone. Currently, it is in my swaplist waiting for another girl to love.

Lipstick -MAC - Barbie-Real Doll
rated 5 of 5

I heard so much about this lipstick and i wanted to stab myself for not being into MAC when this collection came out. I finally got it 2 weeks ago via a swap with a lovely french lady. It is a really pretty baby pink that is not too bright. It is all i dreamed about and better! I am really in love with this colour but because it is LE and very rare, I am saving it only for special occasions. I know many people are looking for a good dupe. I actually collected a huge amount of MAC pink lippies searching for my HG baby pink and i feel that the closest colour to real doll would be lovelorn being slightly rosier. I created a very close (if not exact) dupe to real doll by using lovelorn as a base, then dabbing of snob and colour crafted on top. I had real doll on my left 1/2 of my lips and the dupe on the right half and my mum couldn't notice any difference. If you have those lipsticks, do give it a try. It might take some time and blending to get the colour right. HTHs! :)

Lipstick -MAC - Patisserie
rated 5 of 5

This is such a pretty nude colour. so perfect for my NC-15 asian skintone. I used about 30% of it and I need a back-up soon. I hate MAC for making all the beautiful stuff LE. It is perfect for pairing with brown smokey eyes. I get so many compliments when I am wearing this!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Portobello Duo
rated 5 of 5
evangelz 11/5/2009 6:11:00 AM

I thought I made a mistake buying this duo because I wear smokey black or purples more often than anything. But recently I had a job interview in an environment that required very formal office wear and had to wear some light neutrals on my eyes. the shadow were so smooth and buttery. I looked polished and professional using this duo and a dark brown e/s from MAC for the crease. I will definitely repurchase again as I think I might be hitting pan soon as i got the job I interviewed for. :D

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #165 Contouring Brush [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
evangelz 11/5/2009 5:59:00 AM

This brush is just like a huge 226 brush. Before this, i had been using 187 for highlighting, thinking that it works well. But after I got this brush, I really understand what highlighting is all about. It fits right above my cheekbones and i noticed that it deposits just the right amount of colour where it is needed and really accentuates my barely existant asian cheek bones. the tip is small enough for highlighting the nose as well. I can't live without it now. will definitely repurchase if i lost it.

Blush -NARS - Orgasm Blush
rated 3 of 5
evangelz 10/5/2009 5:55:00 PM

This product is soooo not worth the hype at all! The nice peachy colour barely shows up at all! Of course, you could build it up but it has too much shimmer. I try to apply more to get it to show and the shimmer/glitters made me look like a glitterbomb. Deep throat is the REAL orgasm imo. For Reference, I am asian, NC 15 in MAC, Intensity 1.0 in Chanel

Blush -MAC - Neo sci-fi Spaced Out
rated 5 of 5
evangelz 9/6/2009 12:15:00 AM

I am so sorry Don't be shy, I strayed and had a love affair with Spaced Out. Let me start by saying that I have about 40 MAC blushes + 3 - 5 that I have heartlessly swapped away. My favourite pink blush is Don't be shy from Barbie loves MAC collection and my favourite peach blush is this. It wasn't love at first sight for Spaced Out unlike Don't Be Shy. When I first saw this baby in the pot, i was like.. wtf is this muddy orange shimmer mess??? But it was LOVE when i applied on my cheeks with my 129. It doesn't look muddy orange no more and what i got was the most natural looking peachy pink glow. Somehow, this muddy orange turns peachy pink once it touches your skin! Great for the days i want to look subtle. Even my colleague noticed my blush which she never does. I am in loveeeee...

Blush -MAC - Beauty Powder Blush in Tippy (Hello Kitty)
rated 4 of 5
evangelz 9/5/2009 11:46:00 PM

I am NC15 and using this gives me a doll-like flush. I need to be careful with the application though. if i use my 129 i end up looking clownish. But lightly applied with the 187, i get a very sheer pink sheen that looks really pretty. Overall, not my favourite blush from MAC but it is pretty good. Would not repurchase though.

Blush -NARS - Cream Blush in Turkish Red [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
evangelz 2/26/2009 6:05:00 AM

This is my first NARS blush and I am SOLD! I am really impressed by the pigmentation, quality and lasting power. I will definitely be trying out more NARS blushes in future. Turkish Red looks really scary in the pan, but applied lightly with a brush such as #187 you get the most natural looking blush ever! I looked like i was blushing madly coz my crush just asked me out on a date. Definitely HG status!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Milk Pigment
rated 5 of 5
evangelz 2/12/2009 1:25:00 PM

This is pretty similar in colour to helium. Should i say it's a milky-er and less glittery helium? However, the texture is not like helium at all. It is not chunky and it applies rather smoothly. I gave it 5 lippies because I am partial toward this pigment and i love all pinks and lillacs! **update** I agree with the review below mine. I'd opened my kitschmas, milk and helium and i realised that milk does not look like helium at all but more like a pinkier kitschmas. Guess i was too excited when this one arrived in the mail. Still, the texture of this one is so much smoother then the other 2. I love the colours of the other two as well but the texture is a pain to work with. So I press all my pigments with mixing medium and apply them wet. It helps that way.
