Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

My reaction to this product is just "meh." I expected a lot since it is YSL, and the beautiful packaging of the tube itself makes it seem like it will be a miracle mascara. However, it's nothing special - the wand is big, and the fibers are small and spaced apart so that it is good for defining. This does nothing for curling or lengthening your lashes - which is ok, because this is not what it claims to do. It does indeed volumize - however, I ran into the same problem - the reason why I don't like Diorshow or Diorshow Blackout - the formula is prone to clumps! This is natural because volumizing mascaras are supposed to thicken - and the only way that's going to happen is by dousing each lash with a thick layer of mascara. However, I expected something amazing from this YSL product, and it didn't deliver. It's just like a lot of other mascaras out there that are cheaper. It's a good mascara, but nothing amazing.
Treatments -Korres - Wild Rose imperfection-targeting oil
eunice866 2/25/2009 9:34:00 AM
I really wish this product worked - the idea/concept behind it is awesome. However, when put to use, it does not perform. I applied this religiously right before going to sleep every night for almost a month on my post-acne scars. In the morning right after waking up, the spots -seemed- lighter. However, in about one hour they were back to their normal discoloration/pigmentation. This did not give me results at all. Also, as another reviewer said - be careful of staining your sheets/pillows, because this oil will stain! Additionally, the packaging seems cute/nice, but the actual plastic fibers (which are very coarse) on the applicator-tip can be painful when brushing against parts of your face, especially where skin is thin (e.g. eye area). Don't waste your $$!
Blush -Clinique - Soft-Pressed Powder Blusher '01 New Clover'

After swearing by NARS blushes for years and years, I gave this a try - and I love it! I am now a Clinique blush believer. I was hesitant at first because from looking at it, the color doesn't look that pretty and looked too dark for my extremely fair skin. But it applies very sheer and gives me the perfect rosy flush. The color is also very buildable, so suitable for even dark skin tones. It also blends like a dream. This blush is not at all chalky, but it isn't quite as velvetty as NARS or MAC blushes - but it is cheaper! Also, I like the fact that it has minimal shimmer and no glitter. I am so glad I got out of my NARS blush rut and gave this a try!
If I could only have ONE makeup brush, this one would be it. I love that this brush is small - it adds to its versatility. I use this everyday to apply shadow to my inner corners, to my main lid (all-over color), to my crease, to my lash line (for a smokey liner look), and even to my brow bone (highlight). This brush can do it all! If you are skilled enough, you can also use this for blending a darker color into your outer corner. The bristles are super soft, and they never lose their shape after hundreds of washes. This brush is a must-have for anyone who uses eyeshadow!
Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free
eunice866 12/18/2008 10:35:00 AM
I am on my third tube of this product! This is the best tinted moisturizer for me - I have tried BeneFit, Stila, Clinique, Shiseido, Tarte, and many more. But once I found this I have never turned to any other product because it is just perfect. Even though I have dry skin, I get the oil-free formula because if I use the normal formula on top of my moisturizer and primer, it gets a little much. I have this in Porcelain (the lightest shade) - and it's perfect for my fair skin. I love that this is buildable - you can go for a quick sheer look, or apply another layer for additional coverage. Make sure to use some time of moisturizer or primer (or both, like I do) before you apply this, as it can be a little hard to spread/blend (this is typical of oil-free formulas). Plus, it's not that expensive and one tube will last you a LONG time!
Eye Makeup Remover -Clinique - Take The Day Off Eye Makeup Remover
eunice866 12/18/2008 10:31:00 AM
I love this eye makeup remover - removes even waterproof liners and mascaras with ease! I have bought this many many times. My only gripe with this is that it can leave a VERY slightly greasy feel afterwards, but I don't really mind it at all because I usually wash my face right after removing my makeup anyway.
I guess I expected more from this product. When I applied this to the areas I wanted to highlight, it barely showed up and didn't really offer much at all. However, the texture of the powder is very smooth and fine (not chalky), and the packaging itself is so pretty (as usual with BeneFit). However, I would not buy this again because it did absolutely nothing for me.
Lipstick -Clinique - Different Lipstick - Raspberry Glace
eunice866 12/18/2008 10:24:00 AM
I got this in a GWP. The color is WAY too dark for me (fair skin) and looks quite scary, honestly. The texture is great, though - very creamy and glides on velvety smooth.
Lipstick -Clinique - Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick - Coral Beach
eunice866 12/18/2008 10:23:00 AM
This lipstick is super creamy and glides on velvety smooth. It really is long lasting - it acts almost like a coral stain. The color looks great with my fair skin (pink undertones).
I don't believe this eye gel truly does anything. I haven't witnessed any significant reduction in puffiness (which it claims it does). I am only still using it because I want to finish it and figure it's better than nothing. However, it does feel cool and refreshing, and it is not thick and goopy - it is a thin gel and can be applied very sheer. Also, the jar will last you quite a long time! In the end though, I would not recommend this or buy it again because I don't believe it does anything too special.
Skincare - Body -Bliss Labs - Ingrown Hair Eliminating Pads
eunice866 12/18/2008 1:39:00 AM
This is truly effective in preventing and eliminating ingrown hairs. The one-time-use pads are so convenient! I would definitely buy this again if I ran out, but the container comes with quite a lot so it will last you quite a while.
This is merely a mediocre mascara. The formula gives you a nice shiny look to your lashes. However, it doesn't volumize or curl or define - basically, nothing special, so I wouldn't buy this again.
I love the unique wand on this mascara. One coat gives you a really pretty, defined look. However, be warned - anything more than one coat, and it can easily get clumpy and stringy-looking. I like wearing multiple coats of mascara, so this is not good for me.
This is just a mediocre mascara. Doesn't clump and the big wand gives you volume, but this is nothing special/amazing, so I wouldn't buy this again. DiorShow is a better bet if you are looking for volume!
Mascara -Vincent Longo - The Curl Mascara in Black
eunice866 12/18/2008 1:30:00 AM
I absolutely love this wand - you don't need to use an eyelash curler if you use this! However, either 1) the wand doesn't pick up much product, or 2) the product itself must be very "thin," because this didn't place much product on my lashes. However, effective at curling!
