Liquid -Illamasqua - Light Foundation

I got this in the lightest colour and was surprised because it was an amazing colour match for me (even bordering on the lighter side) which is so rare! I also loved the fact that it had a dewy finish and that it was quite light coverage. Okay, so I tested it on my arm and loved it. Colour matched it to my jawline and it was perfect. However! After getting it home and trying it on in a variety of ways (fingers, MAC 187 skunk brush, 109 foundation brush and sponge) nothing worked. It looked streaky and patchy and just not nice. I thought maybe my skin was a bit silly and tried it with various bases and different moisturisers, but nothing made much of a difference. Mixing it with MAC Strobe cream was fine, I decided that I'd only wear it when my skn was flawless becuase that combination covers nothing. Annoyed and frustrated, because I bought a semi expensive foundation (that I didn't really need anyway) that wasn't what I'd hoped... I tried it with Diorskin Forever foundation... Perfect. Absolutely LOVE this combo. As much as this may be my HG foundation combo... I'm still a bit dissapointed that I can't make it work on it's own.

Lip Liners -MAC - Temperature Rising

I love this colour like nobody's business. LOVE it. Seriously. It's only lost a point because it bleeds on me... :( It's a lipliner... so I'm real confused by that one. But I'll totally wear it anyway haha.

Mascara -MAC - Plush Lash
eugeniesmooh 7/11/2010 4:42:00 AM
Almost everything about this mascara I like. The way it looks, the packaging etc. However, I'd read/heard that the first few times using it, the brush would be kinda tricky and you'd get mascara all over your eye. This still happens! After I suppose around a month of using it every day... am I just unbelievebly un-co??? I work sO hard at it, and I think only twice have I ever used it without having to clean it up afterwards! The second thing is when I wash it off it always gets in my eyes, more so than any other mascara I've used ever. I have to be super careful or else it stings, and for a few blinks everything has a grey tint. Both of the issues I have seem to be really stupid things that are just me... but I swear I'm not that bad at mascaras...!?!?! However, I LOVE HOW IT LOOKS so I'll deal with being messy and seeing grey.

Moisturizers -Lancome - Aqua Fusion Continous Infusing Moisturizer Lotion SPF 15
eugeniesmooh 7/11/2010 4:35:00 AM
I got this last week on sale for AU$20. Normally it is around $100, so I totally won on that part. I'm pretty new to oil-free moisturisers, but out of the three or so I've tried I like this the best. It's SO light-weight and instantly absorbs so it freaked me out at first like I hadn't put any on, but spookily my face is still moisturised!!

Liquid -Christian Dior - DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF
eugeniesmooh 5/28/2010 5:31:00 AM
My mum got this for me Duty Free, by accident. I orignially wanted the Nude one - since I like a dewy finish. ANYWAY! I'm 010 (the lightest) and although it has a more neutral tone than my skin, it seems to cancel out any redness and evens out my skintone perfectly. I only need to use one pump for my whole face, so it'll last a while. To stop it being so matte, I either mix it with some moisturizer (Clinique Dramatically Diff. Moisturing Lotion) or the Chanel Illuminising Make-up Base. A tiny bit of the Chanel with this, looks beautiful. Dunno if I'd buy it again, unless Duty Free since it's like AU$90... but for the moment, I'm liking it a lot.

Primer/ Corrector -Chanel - Base Lumiere - Illuminating Makeup Base

This is a really nice product. It's lovely as a primer, but you can put it over your foundation for a natural glow as well. Price is a bum, but beautiful stuff.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cork
eugeniesmooh 5/3/2010 6:12:00 AM
Cork is basically the only crease colour I use. I also use this as my contour colour for my cheekbones, as its matte. Really, really good eyeshadow. A must for anyone, whether you prefer neutral or brighter looks, you pretty much need this.

I use this every day. Love it. I've had it for ages, and hit pan over a year ago and it's sill going strong. Have no idea why it's lasted this long! I swear it's magic.

Liquid -Clinique - Perfectly Real Makeup
eugeniesmooh 5/3/2010 6:00:00 AM
This was my first Clinique foundation, perfect colour match for my pale skin (NW 20-25), but it's a bit thicker than I usually use. It's almost a gel. It blends alright though. I guess my issue with this foundation is that it's really average. There's nothing special about it. The finish is av, and if you put powder on it cakes, and if you wear it alone, it's gone in two hours. I've worn it with heaps of different primers, and with just moisturiser and nothing at all. No difference. I kinda don't get this foundation ???

Fragrances -Burberry - The Beat [DISCONTINUED]
eugeniesmooh 4/14/2010 8:19:00 AM
I love this scent. I use it on the days when I don't feel like wearing a really "girly" purfume. It's fun and pretty without being overpowering. It smells really young and... contemporary? I dunno, I guess it's kinda a modern scent. I only gave it 4 out of 5 because I don't feel as though it lasts as long as other fragrances. I tend to spray it into my clothes as well.

Mascara -Rimmel - Sexy Curves
eugeniesmooh 4/10/2010 6:58:00 AM
I want to love this mascara, and for the first two applications I thought it was a new fave... but then it dried out and clumped. But I love the packaging and the the brush looks awesome... but no deal.

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
eugeniesmooh 4/10/2010 6:54:00 AM
I used to swear by this mascara. Then I started using others. I stopped using it for like two-ish years, then I got another tube for old time's sake, and... GOD! WHAT WAS I THINKING? It clumped and was so thick and dry on the first application, I gave it a few more goes, hoping to re-fall in love with it...nah, no way. Just looked clumpy and like I only had one super fat clumpy lash on my eyelid (ie, didn't seperate at all). DiorShow fails. But I still really like the Iconic one...

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Lipstick - Ravishing
eugeniesmooh 4/10/2010 6:44:00 AM
I love this lipstick! It's def. not for everyday, but it's bright and fun. I'm really pale usually (NW15ish) and looks awesome then, as well as when I'm a bit tanned too. I tend to use a natural looking blush or a bronzer for some colour, 'cause corals/peaches tend to clash and not in a good way.

Mascara -Dejavu (Imju) - Fiberwig Lash Knockout
eugeniesmooh 4/10/2010 6:39:00 AM
My HG mascara! It only gives length, no real volume. But for what I look for (really long, seperated lashes) this is the best ever. I get mine of eBay from Hong Kong usually, and I can't use anything else now!! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
