I bought this on a whim at my local Dollar Tree, so I guess I don't have any complaints about the price. silken taupe is a shimmery neutral taupe that is gorgeous in the pan. The texture of the shadow is soft and easily blended However, I feel that the pigmentation leaves something to be desired as the shadow needs to be packed on to show up and I feel that I am by no means dark. It does make a pretty lid color or wash, and it seems like it might be a good option on a low maintenance day, but there are a lot of shadows out there that I feel are much nicer than this one. I will probably still keep this one, though I definitely would not repurchase it

Blush -NARS - Sex Appeal

Sex appeal is a very very light blush reminiscent of MAC's beauty powders. I doubt will show up on most people without a lot of layering. That said, I can get it to show up on me and i'm currently around nc 25 or so, but even then it's very very light. I think anyone darker than NC25 will not be able to get this to show up. I've heard some people saying that this is meant as a highlighter, but seeing as this is a matte blush, I'm really not sure this would work as a highlighter at all. However, if you're one of those people who is lighter than nc/nw 15 and like extremely subtle blushes, you might like this

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Waterproof

After retrying this..I think it's a nice mascara..gives decent volume and mild length..but it's a complete bitch to remove. My lashes also feel very stiff with this stuff on...so I'll probably stick with Maybelline Colossal. This one was nice to try because it was only $4.50 when I bought it, but I won't repurchase because of how much effort this takes to remove

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof

I enjoyed the regular Lash Stiletto WP, so when I saw that there was a new version of it, I decided to pick it up and try it. Voluptuous is similar to the original version except that the packaging is red and like the regular Stiletto it comes with a thin brush..the difference is that the thin brush is annoyingly curved and harder to use. It's supposed to add volume in addition to lengthening. It does alright at both, though I feel like the regular stiletto gave more length. However, it loses to my new favorite mascara, Maybelline Colossal WP, which I picked up the same day, which gives a lot of volume and some length as well. For that reason, I won't be repurchasing this.

Palettes -NARS - Day and Night palette (Sephora holiday 2009)

I agree with both users below that there needs to be a more medium shade in this palette, though I still like the palette overall quite a bit because I like the colors in the palette. Absynnia is my favorite in this palette and I would definitely buy it as a single. Sugarland's beautiful, but a bit chalky. Fathom has a bit of a dry powdery texture to it, but still pretty. The glitter doesn't even make it to my lids. I'm kind of whatever on Cleo..it shows up very light on my lids. Underworld is passable as both a crease shade and a liner. Night breed is black with chunky glitter...also very whatever. If you're creative you can figure out a few looks to do with this one, so overall I'll keep it..but the only color I'd buy separate from this is Absynnia.

I bought this because I really love the packaging on this product, but the product itself falls short. It's got decent coverage and looks okay when applied, but within a few hours starts looking gross and cakey. Additionally I appear to have some sort of sensitivity to this product as it seems to make me itch quite a bit

Lipstick -Cargo - Plant Love Lipstick in Muir Woods

I got this as part of Sephora's lip service sampler and was completely unimpressed by this lipstick. It didn't show up at all on my pigmented lips and barely shows up on the back of my hand. I also find the formula a bit drying

Lip Gloss -Givenchy - Gloss Interdit - Rose Taboo

This gloss has a great color and feels really good on the lips as it's relatively non-sticky, but I took off 2 lippies because it has a strong perfumed scent and tastes like I just got soap in my mouth...for this reason I would not rebuy this. I can't comment on the lasting power of this since I wiped it off within 10 minutes due to the taste

Powder -Sana - Pore Putty Face Powder

I've have this powder for a while, and I really like it. It's pretty finely milled and definitely decreases the appearance of my pores without looking cakey. Unfortunately, the biggest problem with this powder is that it only comes in one, very light colored shade, which doesn't blend with my skin tone that well. For that reason, I'd probably not buy this again

This is a great neutrally pink with slight duochrome. it's very subtle and works well on me despite my not so great experience with pinks

This mascara is AWFUL. It clumped all of my lashes into a giant superlash, and even a lash comb couldn't fix this completely as the formula is very sticky. It retails for $13 pretax, which is quite expensive for a drugstore mascara. The vibrating wand is gimmicky, and does nothing for my lashes. This is going straight back to ulta as soon as i find the packaging and receipt

Polishes -Orly - Fantasea

This polish caught my eye when I went over to my local Sally's this week. Fantasea is a great violet color with pinky bronze duochrome. When I wore this out yesterday, I got several compliments on this color. The formula is Orly's regular easy to apply formula. The polish is a bit sheer, but 2 or 3 thin coats gives full opacity. Addidionally, I love the rubberized grip on the ORLY bottles..it makes opening up polishes nice and easy.
