Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara
eriko84 5/2/2010 9:54:00 PM
This mascara holds a special place in my heart, it was my very first tube when I was 17. All I wanted was a natural toned down mascara with no frills. I found it with this one. It doesn't do much but it does slightly darker my lashes, it also adds subtle volume and length. It doesn't come off as easy as other mascaras, I gently use a qtip to take it off but your lashes do feel soft with it on. Full n Soft is a good option for days when I just throw on some mascara and go, I will always repurchase this.

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Smoky ShadowBlast
eriko84 5/2/2010 9:50:00 PM
I've never been so disgusted with a product in my life. I HATE this product. First off, the color barely translates to my eye, it goes on sheer with a glittery finish and has no staying power. Second, they all broke off at the base, even with very little effort. Lastly, I seriously cannot believe Cover Girl charges almost $9 for this pathetic little stick of color. Luckily I got it BOGO, and Rite Aid has a good return policy.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
eriko84 5/2/2010 9:44:00 PM
If MAC were to discontinue this shadow I would probably get two or three backups. And this is the only MAC product that I would ever repurchase. I'm a darker girl and woodwinked really shows up as a deep golden bronze color on me. It gives me an instant awake look, and it goes with almost any color. The VP finish is the best MAC has and it goes on very smooth, and blends wonderfully. A must have for the mac lover, neutral shade lover and women of color.

Bronzers -Iman - Afterglow
eriko84 4/10/2010 10:27:00 PM
I love this "bronzer", it took me a while to track it down because it was sold out almost everywhere. The colors are so flattering for women of color, it isn't necessarily a bronzer, I see it more of a blush but you could use the brown color as a light bronzer. The plum and apricot color are gorgeous. I was surprised at how pigmented these colors were, and the price made me even happier. I will definitely be buying it again AND I am recommending every women of color check this out.

Lipstick -Iman - Wild thing Luxury Moisturising
eriko84 4/10/2010 10:17:00 PM
I love this shade, it looks like a deep opaque purple but goes on slightly sheer with a berry tone to it. You can apply more for a more intense shade color. It is by far my favorite lipstick and color.

Lips -Iman - Luxury Moisturizing Lipstick
eriko84 4/10/2010 10:15:00 PM
I love Iman's lipsticks. I picked up Wild Thing, which is a deep burgundy shade and I get tons of compliments on it. It is very moisturizing and goes on super smooth. Iman Red is also an amazing red shade for women of color too. And of course the sticker on the bottom isn't just like the shade, just look through the see through hole on the top and it will clearly indicate the color you're purchasing :)

Concealers -Cargo - One Base Concealer and Foundation in One
eriko84 1/28/2010 6:08:00 PM
Like most folks, I am taking advantage of the Cargo sale at Sephora. This looked intriguing to me because it was concealer and foundation in one, and it was super easy to use. It covers well, but on those extra dark bag days it isn't opaque enough. But usually its just right for allowing me to look awake and refreshed. I like the small wand, it gets into little areas and helps me spot conceal. It was a great buy for the 50% off but i'm not completely sure i'll pay full price for it yet.

Liquid -Cargo - Foundation - Oil Free
eriko84 1/28/2010 5:56:00 PM
I decided to grab this foundation since Sephora is getting rid of the Cargo stash. I initially found the One Base and liked the coverage and the feeling on my face so I thought it would be nice to try the foundation. I tried on 70 and it blended perfectly with my two tone skin! Usually most foundations are too muddy or red but since this is yellow based, it worked perfectly. It comes out thicker than most liquid foundations but covered really well. I like most of my skin to show through, but I want to cover small flaws and even it out. This does it perfectly, I think it was a good $16 well spent.

Makeup Brushes -NARS - Smudge Brush 15
eriko84 1/23/2010 9:44:00 PM
I love my smudge brush, the bristles are very soft yet short and dense. It only deposits color where I need it to go and I rarely see fall out from it. It is a bit expensive but I love my NARS bushes, and they're worth every penny.

Eyes -MAC - Paint Pot in Rubenesque
eriko84 1/23/2010 9:40:00 PM
I've had Rubenesque for almost a year and i really love it for neutral looks, or even just by itself. I'm nc45 and when i place it on my lids, its very sheer. It looks like a nice light pinky golden peach color on my lid. It does tend to crease, i make sure i place a primer potion underneath, and this eliminates this problem. out of all my paint pots, this one has the largest dent in it :)
