Masks -H20 - Hydrating Marine Moisture Mask
eribear23 2/10/2013 2:23:00 PM
I too am surprised by the bad reviews. I used this initially after exfoliating my skin very roughly and it did burn, but if I use this after cleansing gently with Cetaphil and blotting my face dry without exfoliating, no problems what-so-ever. I leave it on for 10 minutes on DRY skin and when it starts to feel like it is drying a little, I masage it in, and leave on a few more minutes. I then rinse with warm water and pat dry. I dont even need a moisturizer. It smells good to me and I like the cooling sensation it has (only if you don't exfoliate beforehand). I may consider putting it in the fridge for days when I have had a little more sun than I'd like. I snatched this up at Marshall's for 7.00, so the price was right for me, but I wouldn't spend much more than that

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Clarisonic PLUS Sonic Skin Cleansing System
eribear23 11/13/2012 11:30:00 PM
I am sorry, but this tool was a waste for me. It has done nothing what-so-ever for my skin. You could buy one of those non-oscillating cleansing brushes from CVS and get the same results in my opinion. That's clearly not the common consensus, but I would never waste this kind of money again. I get skeeved out knowing that I am using the same brush head that has bacteria and skin cells on it over and over. Yes, you rinse it and what-not, and I suppose I could put an-antibacterial cleanser on it, but it just is not one of my favorite items by any means. I plan to buy new attachments and sell the darned thing to at least get some money back.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - PMD - Personal Microdermabrasion
eribear23 11/13/2012 11:13:00 PM
I cannot remember the cost of this machine, though I think it went over $300. it may sound like a lot up front, but getting microdermabrasion at a salon will run you about that much for maybe 2 sessions, if youre lucky. I really love this tool. It comes with various different heads to attach, depending on the area you are going to treat and the sensitivity of your skin. You can use this anywhere on your body, in the comfort of your own home and get several uses out of each head before having to change it out. It has made a world of difference on my skin and I would recommend this to anyone looking for smoother, younger looking skin.

Conditioner -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Nourishing Conditioner
eribear23 11/12/2012 12:15:00 AM
I have very thick hair and have literally NEVER found a conditioner that I love as much as this. It smells so amazing and it really conditions well. If you don't like overly perfumed conditioners or shampoo, then you won't like this because the scent is strong, but if you like your hair to smell fresh for days, this is the one for you. I was surprised that a conditioner from a company known for selling underwear would be so amaziong, but it really is. I don't even need to do a deep conditioner weekly like I normally do it I use other products. For $10 a bottle, it is definitely pricey for something you will literally wash down the drain, but it's a great product.

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Tinted Eye Brightener 2012 Reformulation
eribear23 10/25/2012 7:50:00 PM
I absolutely hate this product and am so disgusted with myself for being talked into it by the BB girl at my department store. First of all...tiniest package ever and for almost $40? WOW. I have no problem spending money on a good product, but the packaging is the worst, in addition to the price. Those brushes are tricky. I dialed it up over a dozen of times without any product coming out. I was thinking it was defective until a whole spray came out, wasting a bunch of it. Ugh! I tried it and I am not even remotely impressed. I am fair, so the girl picked the Peach color for me and it just does absolutely nothing for my dark circles which is what I complained about to begin with. I went in to buy a lipstick in Brownie because I read in a magazine that it was the perfect pinky-brown and I like that a lot, but I got talked into a bunch of other crap and quite frankly, I am not please with this line at all. The girl who tried some products on me started with a 2 step concealer which she slathered on and patted in. It felt like spackle. I opted for a lighter version, having tried a lot of other concealers/brighteners and cannot deal with too much weight on my face. I am just all around not pleased with the product, the package, or the price. Bobbi Brown, you will not be my new make-up line. Sorry.

Self Tanners -Rodial - Brazilian Tan
eribear23 10/25/2012 11:51:00 AM
The jury is still out on this product. It got rave reviews in magazines and was touted as being the darkest self tanner out there, so I bought it and wanted to kick myself after. $50 at Nordstrom. WOW! Expensive. But, I have tried a ton of products and was never satisfied except for my airbrush tan from a professional and that cost about the same. This stuff stinks, but not the worst thing I have smelled. I definitely get darker, but I am very fair as it is, so of course I can only get darker even with the lightest application. I would not say this is the best thing I have used, but not the worst either. I bought three more tubes on hautelook.com, as they were $22 each. Super cheap compared to the retail price. So far, I have used: SevenNyne by Lindsay Lohan (buy at Sephora): smells amazing, like vanilla, but super messy and the spray top clogs all the time. Color is great if you can get it to not splotch on you, but it washes away within a day or two. Price was $35 per can, but Sephora has been discounting it. Not worth it Australian Gold line by JWoww from "Jersey Shore". I don't know why I even bothered. The can gives you two applications tops and you cannot tell when it is getting close to empty. The color ends up being orange as heck and it's $35 a can Hollywood Tans line self-tanner spray: I think this is relatively new. it comes in a white can, costs about $35 also, but you get about three full body applications out of the can, the smell is great, and the color is very natural. I will stick to this one. Body Drench Quick Tan: I buy this on Amazon for much more decent prices than in a store, where is can cost $25 and up. I love the scent, it gets you dark, but the base color is a little on the red side. I would rather look a little red than orange, so this is a good product overall and the spray is continuous and rarely, if ever, clogs on me. St Tropez. I bought the whole kit and literally got NO color whatsoever. I had to read the bottle to make sure I didn't accidentally buy a lotion. Nope, it was a self tanner. Delivered absolutely nothing and was super expensive. Mix in various drug store brands of self tanner, and I have not once found anything I am super jazzed about. But, I would stick with Hollywood Tans and Body Drench if I had to choose.

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Whoosh Shower Jelly
eribear23 10/25/2012 12:32:00 AM
One of my least favorite products ever. Love the smell. Hate the concept. It's too slippery and I don't like bathing with Jell-O. I have no desire to dig my nails into a wiggly product to break of a piece just to crush it into a loofah or onto a sponge. Too much of a process and a lot of it gets wasted. It doesn't lather or make me feel clean. I don't like it.

Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
eribear23 10/25/2012 12:22:00 AM
I too got this as a free birthday gift from Sephora and at first, I was thinking it would be too pink, based on the color in the tube, but it actually goes on so sheer and gives a touch of fresh color to the lips without looking artificial . It has a light, non-greasy feel, but gives amazing shine without looking too fake. I love this. The only thing I am not a fan of it the screw on and off top. I just want to be able to pull the top off and snap it back on and I guess I could snap it back on, but I am afraid I will break the tube.

Hair -Revlon - Outrageous Shampoo & Conditioner
eribear23 10/24/2012 12:20:00 AM
Of all the shampoos and conditioners that I have used, this is by far one of, if not my all time favorite. Smells sooooo good and the scent lasts a long time. Plus, the conditioner really conditions well. Why did Revlon discontinue this???

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
eribear23 10/24/2012 12:14:00 AM
This product is an absolute staple for me. I cannot wash my hair and not use this. Two pumps for my waist length is all I need. I smooth on from ear level to the ends and allow my hair to air dry a bit before I blow it out. I sometimes use a little of the oil on my arms and chest. It smells sooooo good and moisturizes well. It's my favorite product of all time.

Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20
eribear23 10/24/2012 12:10:00 AM
This is by far my favorite foundation because it is so smooth and sheer. I apply with a damp sponge and my skin just feels amazing. I don't have acne or bad skin at all, so I only use it because I like the way it feels, not for any added benefit other than that.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Tinted Lipglass
eribear23 10/24/2012 12:06:00 AM
Ugh, I hate this product so much. I initally bought it in C-thru and liked the sheer shine of it, but it is so darned goopy and if you're like me and use a lot of different glosses, after a couple of weeks, it gets like tar in the tube- super thick and even more goopy than before. It smells weird after a few weeks too. I tossed a couple of tubes and will never go back to this. I would never even think of kissing someone with this on either. Way too sticky.

Primer/ Corrector -ModelCo - Fase Base - Skin Primer
eribear23 10/24/2012 12:02:00 AM
I am not sure hoe much this stuff normally costs because I bought mine at a discount department store for under 10 bucks. It definitely goes on smoothly and works well and I would buy it again, but not more that what I paid for it the first time. I prefer more creamy, velvety primers as opposed to silicon based ones. So, I gave it 4 stars for that.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
eribear23 10/24/2012
I really found that this velvety smooth prouduct preps my skin for my make-up very well. In fact, it's the best primer I have used. I have tried many others and this is fantastic. The only complaint is that it's in a jar and when you get halfway done with this, you have to scoop your finger into the jar and the product gets under your nails. I think it's too thick of a product to put in a squeeze tube, but I hate the feeling of it getting under my nails. Other than that, this is perfect!

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Latisse Lash Growth Drops
eribear23 10/23/2012 11:42:00 PM
I use this every night and absolutely love this. I noticed results after only 8 weeks. I buy my online at a place that doesn't require a prescription. Shady? Sure, but the product is sealed and not bootleg stuff. You get the same product, so why not? Having gotten mine previously from my dermatologist, this way is actually cheaper. I have blue eyes and have not had any issues yet. The only problem I have are those brushes. I honestly re-use them. I just make sure I wash them with antibacterial soap. Other than that, this stuff is great and it works really well. I was hoping I wouldn't need mascara, but sadly, I do still. I had lash extensions before and for less the cost, you can use this and get the same results. I have not noticed any thickening of my lashes, so I still use mascara for that purpose and there has been no darkening. Kinda the opposite. The one thing that I think is strange is that the tips of my lashes always grow in very light colored. I have no idea why. It's not noticeable to others, but when I get really up close to put my mascara on, I see a few tips blonde or white with the rest of the lash being black. My mascara darkens them, but it's just a little weird.
