I've used 2 cols of this pencils. One is metallic gray & the other is a solid dark brown. Both worked so well for the price. It sharpens easily, draws a continuous line without snagging my lids, and the cols are well-pigmented. I will continue to buy this in suitable colours, though their selection is sometimes too youngish for an approaching-30s lady. It's a great product to have nonetheless.
Conditioner -Clairol - Clairol Herbal Essences Smooth Lovin Conditoning Treatment

This is probably not in the usual range of Herbal Essences haricare range. I had a hard time trying to re-purchase this. It comes in a yellow-orange tube, with divine fruity smell & on the packaging it indicates some 'anti-humidity' formulation. I have long & fine, straight hair. My main problem is dryness at the ends & a profound flatness if using the wrong shampoo + condi combo. This conditioner/treatment works wonders in dis-entangling my shampooed fine hair. It makes my hair easier to comb thru.. especially after using it with my dryest of shampoo (LUSH 'new hair' shampoo) Best of all, my hair isnt't flat after it dries out. My only problem is, when the 2nd tube runs out...where am I supposed to buy this!
Treatments -L'Oreal - EverCreme Deep Nourishing Masque

I used this together with the shampoo, on my fine straight dyed hair. It makes the most beautiful combination i've ever inflicted on my tresses. I use a small amount after shampooing, it transforms my hair into beautiful flows. It doesnt feel like any fake silicones coating my hair. Pls don't ever dare cease this line, L'oreal!
omg, this has got to be my ultimate drugstore brand shampoo+masque! a fab hair day is as simple as using this duo. i can't rave more. i hv fine, straight, dyed hair with flatness tendency. wrong kind of shampoo+cond combinations, can easily leave it wirey, crunchy, and awful. the shampoo is low-lathering, gorgeous vanilla scent, suplhate-free. some ppl complain it leaves an overcoat upon rinsing. maybe it does, but i dont hv a problem with it. my hair feels soft even before the 2nd step. and most importantly when dried, my long hair fell in gorgeous waves when i pull it to the front. it's just amazing my hair cld look this good! i would say it's the best L'oreal drugstore haircare line. I used to sworn by the Argiline black bottle series. but it is way out there a winner.
I wanted a matchy-matchy scent for him, with my Kelly Caleche. Terre D' Hermes isnt exactly a match...but i just found an ultimate signature fragrance for him! His usual faves are Polo Black, Polo Double Black, Polo Blue...the list of boring polos goes on, with the occasional Farenheit or Dior Homme. This one killed everything else. It smells like expensive leather just taken a luxe bath, with the maturity of a well-soled man and the flooze of a skull T-shirt. He wears this everywear, repurchase after repurchase. I steal this too sometimes. it's dope good.
I've tried more or less, alllll the L'oreal drugstore shampoos. This one I rate the best. (The least is probably the EverStrong range.) I hv moody hair fallouts. When it happens, it's so frustrating. This shampoo makes my fine-medium hair soft, not limp while caring for some hair re-growth (i hope) However, the masque in this range just WTH sucks. This shampoo is most compatible with the orange-tub VIVE smooth-intense masque. This combo makes for a perfect hair-day.
Initially, my MIL bought this for my hubs's sensitive (eczema) skin. He can't be bothered to use it, so this had bn sitting in the toilet..ignored like some strange wallflower paper. It doesn't hv the conventional suds of normal SLS-laden soaps would..i didn't bother using it either. One fine day, when my Clarisonic brush obsession starts...and I noticed how similar the Clarisonic cleanser's consistency is compared with this..I actually used Cetaphil with my Clarisonic. And it is so compatible! It doesn't dry out my skin like how some cleansers would, with that brush. And I had since used Cetaphil as a basic face was too, even without Clarisonics. It's a basic staple for maturing skin, and ppl who enjoys washing their faces too much.
The version I have, is called the Luxe Kabuki or something... not like the one pictured. It has a redtone metal casing. Good enough, fluffy & light for applying my staple Bare Minerals foundation...but it sheds badly. I ended up looking like i hv a serious case of eyebrow-shedding or sumthin. It's just oh-kay. cant stand the shedding though.
Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Driven by the reviews at MUA, mostly raving its perplexing consistency...i went out to grab this. Im in late 20s, with very fine lines at undereyes & smile lines about to form. I slap this on generously at night on the 2 areas. I guess it somehow helps plump up the lines, doesn't cause milia or zits. Unique texture which I appreciate, just to amuse myself. It's not a miracle, but good enough daily. Will try the abyssine eye cream next.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - Color Infallible Eyeshadow Eternal Black 14
encee 12/24/2012 11:03:00 PM
My 3rd col from the Infallible range. Actually bought this as a fun black. I had been a devout user of Maybelline's hyper diamonds palette..the black shade. I thought no one could do it better. But this pot overtakes the throne. Its shimmery-subtle black, is not too goth nor go-go queen, i wear it to office everyday. Staying power is great & does not smudge much. A pot goes a long way. I don't mind ended up looking like an overzealous panda just bcos I love this so much.
I had to buy from this range of gorgeous eyeshadow line. This col was my first pick. The pink can be used lightly for a subtle, near-skintone highlight..or build it up like a blushing veil of colur. I mix this up with browns or creams. It's definitely too pretty to leave sitting on the shelves, it screams a take-me-home tone.
Gorgeous eyeshadow offerings from L'oreal. I've been looking for a base shadow, versatile for everyday wear. Tested this col in a drugstore, the lustre is heavenly, and leaves an angelic halo in every shade. Has a frosted finish, with buildable intensity. I could just dab this with my index finger, run it across my under-eye lids for a mystique look.. or brush some on the inner corners of my eyes for faking fresh eyes.. or swipe it all over eyelids like a friendly base colours before other shades. It have the pink & black as well, all are a dream to use.
im usually into oriental, musky, vanilla kinda fragrances.. all my self-purchased fragrances are all about the sexy & mysterious. but when Chloe Love popped into the scene a few years back, i thought i might make that floral transgression. still, it ain't totally 'me', so I couldn't bring myself to buy it. This Chloe Love Intense is just the right answer to my bewilderment. It is a Love at first sniff! All the loveliness of Love, rebirth with a dark edge, presented in its dark brown liquid like a love potion of vintage rum. When i finally bought it, it stayed on me like omg mfeo. so lovely, i wear it all the time day & night.
my palette is the one with black, dark brown, peach & white. i find it a cheap & good purchase for daily use. yes i wear it everyday, esp the black, just to line my upper eyelid with. it can take me from glam to wham, whether a glittery night look or a grungy-smokey eyed day look.the the black has a nuance of purplish tint. the browns are quite blah on me. staying power is questionable. but im happy it cost little, for a job it does rather well for simple unfussy days.
Gels/Soaps -Crabtree & Evelyn - Sea Mud & Seaweed Milled Soap
encee 6/16/2012 11:39:00 PM
I have to buy something else from C&E to qualify for a free gift, and this soap was bought just because. Nowadays, we're all used to gels/cream liquid soaps...who uses bar soaps anymore? But! This sexy black bar with heavenly scent, turn out to be my daily staple. Im happy to add a 'new review' here, raving on this soap. I rub this bar on my bathing sponge, and it transforms into a bubbly goodness. Sea mud absorbs the day's grime on my back, red & brown algae softens the skin... also claimed to contain shea butter, cocoa butter & evening primrose oils. Skin feels soft, yet not dry and my bathrooms smells like expensive perfume. Not regretting buying this at all.
