Styling Products -TiGi - Bedhead Small Talk
emmzy713 2/17/2012 3:05:00 PM
Favorite styling product. Tames frizz and adds volume like no other single product. I squirt out less than a full pump, since too much product can leave hair heavy and greasy feeling. Get the amount right and it gives life and body to damaged hair.

Hair Color -Clairol - Kaleidocolors Tonal Powder Lightener
emmzy713 6/16/2011 6:43:00 PM
I used this product with 20 vol developer (1 Tbps Kaleidoscope with 2 Tbsp developer) and did selected strands to foil. I have used a cap before, but this is the first time I tried foils. I have been growing out my dark blonde hair, which up until 6 months ago I had been bleaching platinum. Back then I used Clairol Second Nature in light golden brown to get it back close to my original color,(after using a box of reddish blonde to add some red back), and decided to try a few highlights for summer. I am very pleased with the results. I have wavy hair, almost curly, and was able to highlight individual curls using the foils and Kaleidoscope lightener. The dozen curls I colored came out just as I wanted them, a light caramel blonde. I am happy to have a little color interest while I continue to baby my hair as I grow it out. This is a very economical way to do highlights at home. The 8 oz size was on sale for $9.99 at Sally online, which will last for a long time. I only used a Tbsp this time and will use even less for touchups.

Treatments -Acne.org - Treatment
emmzy713 3/24/2008 2:06:00 PM
I've been following Dan Kern's regimen for about a year. The 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel is as effective as the more readily available 10% BP products and can be used generously without as much drying. I like that the gel goes on clear and you get a lot for your money compared to other treatments. The newly designed 8 oz size package (see the uploaded picture) is $16.52. Compare that to $6 for an ounce of Clearasil treatment. Go to acne.org to learn about "the regimen" and order the Treatment gel. Like any other treatment I've used, eventually it becomes less effective and I switch to something else for awhile, but after a few months I can use it again with good results. I only use the Treatment part of Kern's regimen, and haven't tried the cleanser or moisturizer. I use Cetaphil for my cleanser and various moisturizers.

I always carry my oil absorbing sheets with me. I use them once or twice a day and appreciate how they get rid of that shiny face look I hate so much.

Blush -Everyday Minerals - tea time
emmzy713 12/2/2007 2:52:00 PM
I love this blush and how it adds natural looking color to my pale complexion. I used to cake on lots of concealer before I got my acne under control and now just use this along with concealer. Since I started using Everyday Minerals (along with a variety of acne products) I am finally happy about my complexion again.

Concealers -Everyday Minerals - Multi-tasking Concealer
emmzy713 12/2/2007 2:47:00 PM
I love this concealer because it works great for evening out my skin tone and covering breakouts. For awhile I was using it as a foundation, and kind of liked the porcelain-like finish it gave my face. I came to realize it was a little too heavy up close (first boyfriend close) and now am using it mostly as a concealer.

Eye Makeup Remover -Klorane - Soothing Eye Makeup Remover with Cornflower Sensitive Eyes
emmzy713 2/20/2007 4:03:00 PM
This is my favorite eye makeup remover. It removes every trace of makeup and is good for sensitive eyes. Its very gentle and effective and if it were a little cheaper and easier to find I would use it all the time.

I like this creamy eye makeup remover. It washes off cleanly, doesn't leave a greasy residue and is reasonably priced.

Liquid -Almay - Nearly Naked Touch-Pad liquid makeup
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:50:00 PM
I used this makeup for awhile, and was happy with the lightness of the application. In hindsight, it goes on almost too light with almost no coverage. If you need to use a concealer with it, it is very hard to blend. Also, it doesn't last for very long. It seems to work well at first but quickly seems to thin out and coverage gets worse.

Blush -Avon - Split Second Blush Stick
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:45:00 PM
I like this product, but it needs to be worked in a bit. For me it goes on a little heavy and spotty and doesn't look as natural as some other blushes I've tried

Brows -L'Oreal - Brow Colourist
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:43:00 PM
I liked this product when it was available. I picked up a L'Oreal pencil in "Ash Blonde" when I was in Florida last year and used it until about a month ago. The color was perfect for me and I liked the way the product went on. Since I wasn't able to find it in the store any more, I tried and switched to Avon's blonde pencil, which is very similar in color.

Brows -Maybelline - Expert Eyes Twin Brow & Eye Pencils
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:40:00 PM
I don't like the color of these pencils for my blond hair (too dark or too light) and the hardness of the brush made application look unnatural, although it was easy to sharpen.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Lavender Shea Butter
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:33:00 PM
I love this stuff for the rough dry patches of skin, like knuckles and also for my cuticles. It works best if you soften a little scoop of it in your palm before applying it. I love the lavender scent, my favorite.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Lavender Hand Cream
emmzy713 2/20/2007 3:29:00 PM
I love the lavender fragrance in this cream and the shea butter makes it very effective on dry hands. I haven't bought it in awhile and don't know about new packaging...mine is in a silver metalic tube.
