I heard RAVE reviews about this product through Youtube beauty gurus, so when I saw it on sale at Target I figured I'd pick up a tube and give it a try. I never truly believe "hype" surrounding beauty products (everyone's tastes are different) but I thought that this must be at least kind of awesome to get the reviews it was getting. Yeah... not so much. I wanted to give it a fair try, because in the past I've grown to like mascaras I thought I'd hate by sticking with them for a bit (CG Lash Blast!), but this was just impossible to get into! The worst part about it for me was the wand -- I couldn't even attempt to critique the actual formula of the mascara because the wand was so flimsy and useless. I'd end up with WAY too much product on my lashes, leading to crazy clumpiness. I've never been a huge believer in "spoon" style wands anyway, and this one was just not doing it for me. So after a few days of this stuff I put it away and didn't give it another shot. However, when my HG Volum' Express Colossal was on its last leg and I was strapped for cash last week, I decided to see if I could do SOMETHING with The Falsies. Looking at the two tubes of mascara (the Colossal and the Falsies), it dawned on me -- wash the Colossal wand, and use it with my Falsies! Sure enough, the tubes are the same size and the Colossal wand fits snugly into the Falsies tube. With a proper brush to apply the product, I realized that I really liked the formula (hence the 3 stars above.) Of course, my lashes don't look like false ones, but I do get some awesome volume and length with two coats of this formula. It can get clumpy, but I don't mind it as much with the different wand. I might repurchase this product for the formula, but I'd never again use the spoon wand that comes in the product.

Eye Makeup Remover -Unlisted Brand - Target Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover

While I keep re-purchasing this product, it's not exactly my fave. The best I've used was by Lancome, but after the bottle I got as a gift ran out, I was too cheap to purchase another. ;) HOWEVER -- I find this product (the newer up&up version, I've never tried the one with the old packaging) to be quite sufficient and the price is wonderful. I go through a lot of eye makeup remover, and re-purchase quite often, so I'm always happy when something is under five bucks. It removes most eye makeup pretty easily and doesn't irritate my eyes. There's little to no scent, and it doesn't leave an overly greasy or oily residue on my lids. It works well! (Tip for tough waterproof mascara: if I'm patient and allow the product to saturate my eyelids for a bit it works fine.)

Moisturizers -Boots - Expert Sensitive Light Moisturizing Lotion

I love this moisturizer! I have searched high and low for the perfect product to keep my combo skin hydrated but not overly greasy, and had little luck in the past. This stuff is seriously wonderful. I love that it smells like aloe and that's it -- no harsh perfumes or dyes to irritate your skin or eyeballs. It has never caused me to have any huge breakouts (that I know of) and I've never had any real irritation from it either. It's formula is a little watery, which I prefer, and absorbs into my skin quickly and completely; there's no trouble putting it under my foundation in the morning. The cost is superb -- five bucks! -- and it lasts me quite awhile. The only points I'd take away from it are for the packaging -- because it's watery, the wide-open top often causes too much product to spill out when I pour -- and the fact that it doesn't quite work ALL year for me. I find it works well most of the year, but being from a cold dry climate, winter tends to do a number on my skin and this light moisturizer doesn't always cut it. I just use a heavier cream when needed. All in all -- this stuff is worth a try!! It might not work for everyone, but for me it's awesome.
