Lip Treatments -eos - Smooth Sphere Organic Lip Balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

I thought this was a cute product and brought it even though it wasn't on sale at CVS. I love the scent of honeydew and it has a pleasant sweet taste. But I don't find this lip balm moisturizing at all - and it's extremely waxy so it's no good under lipsticks. The round shape is also difficult to carry around as I don't usually carry a bag.
Angels on Bare Skin was actually one of my first product from LUSH and was recommended by the SA that worked there for my combination skin. I am a huge fan of this cleanser. I use it every morning to exfoliate and it leaves my skin really soft and I make sure to exfoliate my lips too. I use my favorite moisturizer immediately after this to increase the absorption power. This is actually quite cheap since I've brought $6 portions on two separate occasions and they each last me a good 3-4 months with daily use. A little goes a long way with this cleanser.
I really like this cream, and I'm quite fond of the scent as well. It really moisturizes with one application and a little goes a long way. But it doesn't absorb as fast as I wish it did and just sorta hangs out on top of my skin. I like to use this under my foundation because it really does help with minimizing the dry spots. I just wish this wasn't discontinued because I would've definitely repurchased.
I read great reviews about this on the TBS website, and one even mentioned that it was a subtle scent that doesn't make her feel like a little kid. Well, it smells like Jolly Ranchers to me. I can't get used to the scent either - so I ended up giving it away to a niece instead. I did like that it was absorbed quickly and had a nice cooling effect though.
Toners -The Body Shop - Cucumber Refreshening Water

I read many good reviews about this product before purchasing it; but I can't understand the hype. I don't like the sticky feeling I get after I use it. And it does absolutely nothing for my skin. ;[ But I do like the refreshing scent. Therefore, not wanting to waste this product - I transferred it over to a small spray bottle and bring it with me when I work our and spritz it on my face a few times to cool down and feel "refreshed". It also doesn't feel as sticky this way.
I originally brought this product when I was having dry skin from all the acne treatments and saw this product at Sephora. I purchased it after thinking it over at least three times (lol) because it was so expensive for the amount you get. However, I am impressed at the moisturizing effect I get from it and it really does set my makeup well. It takes about 4-5 spritz to get the job done. I used this on my roommate when she was preparing for a pageant and she absolutely loved it. I don't think I will be repurchasing only because it's quite expensive and what I have will probably last me a while since I try to use it sparingly now.
Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Lotion

This product was a little disappointing since I really had hope that it would help clear my skin, but it works better as a shine control lotion. And I find the need to exfoliate first before I can apply this because it would make my dry spot even drier - and that doesn't look pretty when you put makeup on top. I'm almost finished with this product though since I hate to waste stuff and this cost a pretty penny when purchased online with shipping since I live no where near a Sephora or TBS. I probably won't repurchase this lotion again; I will opt for the night fade lotion next time as my friend raves about it.
Toners -The Body Shop - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner

I really like this toner for keeping my oil and acne at bay and my face matte. But like many others have mentioned - I don't see my skin clearing up like I wish it would. It definitely works well at removing the makeup and dead skin cells that my cleanser leaves behind. I'm almost half way through the bottle - I'm on the fence about repurchasing since it is rather pricey and I want to try something else.
I really like The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil line. I'm still on the line about this product, I'm not sure if I like it or not - but it does keep my acne at bay. I really like the scent but I understand how it would take others a while to get used too. It's a weird woody, minty smell. haha. The first time I used it, I remember having a tight, burning sensation. I was worried at first that my skin was reacting to it but my friend who was also trying it out at the same time had a similar reaction. As I continued to use it twice a day for the next few days - it went away. It does dry my skin out a little, but a good moisturizer will do the trick. I use this in conjunction with the toner and skin clearing lotion from the same line.
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Satsuma Body Butter

I absolutely love this body butter. The scent is amazing, and really smells like mandarins. I really got a lot of compliments on it when I open the jar at the nail salon (and you know how strong that place can smell!). I don't find the moisturizing aspect to be that amazing, but it's alright. The body butter absorbs fast and is grease-less - which is a plus for me.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the 3 piece system kit. I've given this product three tries over the last 6 years and I was really hoping the third time would be the charm but I just ended up losing about $90 and had red, irritated skin. The only product worth buying again and again is the refining mask - it's the only thing that I saw any result in. Right now, I'm sticking to The Body Shop Tea Tree oil line and it's really keeping my skin matte and acne at bay.
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
emigyaru 2/5/2012 1:41:00 AM
I purchased this product when it was on a 50% sale at Rite Aid and I was hoping to try out a gel liner since it was all the rage at the time and I didn't want to dish our $10+ for some other brand without knowing if I would like it. Overall, I liked the product, but I probably won't repurchase (this one alone can probably last me over a year if I sanitize it every time I use it). The black wasn't as dark as I would've like it for a black eyeliner; it was really nice when I swatched it on my hand but it's different when applied on the eyes. meh. I think I'll just stick with the original pencil liners. :)
I love this blush - it's my favorite hands down. It makes the perfect peach blush for me. The pigmentation is pretty good, and you're definitely able to build it up. I have nothing to say about the packaging. It doesn't take a genius to open it, and it's quite sturdy. I can wait to restock again soon since I'm already about to hit pan. For a buck each, you really can't beat that.
I personally really liked this product. I have the color Cherry Me; which I purchased for $1.90 at a Rite Aid that was having a liquidation sale. I haven't tried it yet before and read the reviews AFTER purchasing it. I was concerned when I saw how many reviewers mention that this lip balm really dried out their lips. I actually find it to be very moisturizing and the color payoff is great. The packaging is very cute too. I've tried other tinted lip balms before, but they were all major disappointments. I'm looking forward to purchasing the rest of the line next week.
Pressed Powders -Revlon - ColorStay Pressed Powder in Translucent
emigyaru 2/4/2012 10:04:00 PM
I use this pressed powder on top of the colorstay foundation to set it. This powder has amazing oil control and gives my makeup a great matte finish. I apply with a kabuki brush; a little goes a long way with this powder. The cotton pad applicator that it comes with is 'alright' - but I usually don't like using them. Overall, this is definitely my one of my favorite finishing powders and I would definitely repurchase. :)
