Moisturizers -Nivea - Visage Sensitive Balance day care for sensitive skin [DISCONTINUED]
emalily 5/25/2005 7:22:00 AM
I wanted to love this product - it sunk in well, wasn't greasy, made a great base for makeup and didn't sting my sensitive skin. However, it's making my skin break out, and I'm not acne prone.

Lip Gloss -Guerlain - Divinora - KissKiss Gloss - #20 Rouge Emotion
emalily 5/13/2005 8:53:00 AM
I do like this gloss. Its a pretty super sheer red on my lips - a good "day off" shade, although I've been wearing it at work all week. I like the packaging. Having said that the colour is not especially unique and I am not a fan of the smell (sickly sweet). I'll probably buy it again.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss- Cherries in the Glow [DISCONTINUED]
emalily 4/10/2005 6:36:00 PM
On me (pale neutral-to-cool toned redhead) this is a lovely sheer rose colour, just enough colour for work. Its lasting power isn't great, and it occasionally dries my lips (as do all glosses), but it's a makeup bag staple as it's so versatile.

Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Lip Gloss in Buff 4
emalily 4/10/2005 12:01:00 AM
Beautiful colour - exactly MLBB. Longlasting, not overly sticky. My only gripe is that it's hideously expensive for the teensy tube (I've gotten more gloss in GWP tubes) and the brush splays easily. Nevertheless I'd buy it again as it's just lovely!

Hair -Mastey - Enove shampoo
emalily 4/1/2005 7:46:00 AM
I love this shampoo - since I've been using it on my extremely fine hair, I've found that I only need to wash every second day as opposed to every day. I used to have to tie my hair up if I didn't want to wash every day, now I can leave it down. My scalp is happier too! My hair feels so clean and soft when I use it in conjunction with Mastey Frehair. I haven't needed to use leave-in conditioner in over 6 weeks since I started using Mastey.

Lip Gloss -Clinique - Sunset Glosswear Sheer Shimmers
emalily 4/1/2005 7:36:00 AM
I love this gloss - definitely my-lips-but-better. I'm a pale, neutral-to-cool toned redhead and it really suits me. Looks dark in the tube but applies very sheerly. Works really well with peachy eyes or blush. This is the only thing I've received in a Clinique GWP that I've purchased in full-size.

Highlighters -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 1
emalily 4/1/2005 7:33:00 AM
Very expensive but worth it ($74AUD). Why it works for me is that whilst I can conceal my dark shadows, Touche Eclat finishes it off, making my eyes look radiant. I use it over the top of Revlon Colorstay concealer. It won't work by itself to cover dark circles - it's also good around the corners of your nose, and in your cupid's bow.

Eye Shadow -Prestige - Eye Shadow- Champagne

HG eyeshadow. Beautiful peachy-champagne shade that's made for blue eyes. Wears well all day - very pigmented and exceptional quality for a cheapie. I am neutral to cool toned redhead - it looks great with peachy blush and gloss.

Toners -Clinique - Mild Clarifying Lotion
emalily 1/19/2005 7:13:00 AM
HG product. Perfect for my blocked pores, also cuts red irritation from my complexion and fades acne scars quickly. I apply it by pouring a bit into my hands and smoothing it in. Definite repurchase.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Visibly Firm Night Cream with Copper
emalily 1/19/2005 7:10:00 AM
Just started using this on my fairly sensitive skin. I use this after Clinique Mild Clarifying Lotion and find it to be very good for my combo sensitive skin. Usually I wake up with a slightly red face but this cream soothes the redness, my skin has remained extremely clear, and my skin seems to feel a bit better moisture- and texture-wise. Not bad for the price.

Sunscreen -Shiseido - Extra Smooth Sun Protection Lotion SPF 33 PA++
emalily 12/19/2004 6:18:00 PM
Considering the limited choice of quality sunscreens we have in Australia (despite being skin cancer capital of the world), it's a good product. It dries to a non-greasy, non-shiny finish and wears well under foundation. It stings occasionally for a few seconds after I apply it to my face but there's no physical redness or irritation. I usually have to wash my face twice to remove all traces at night time. Basically, I like it and will re-purchase until something better turns up in the marketplace.

Crème -Clinique - superbalanced compact [DISCONTINUED]
emalily 12/19/2004 6:13:00 PM
I bought the lightest colour (Alabaster Breeze) and realised in retrospect that even though I'm not THAT pale, the colour is too yellow and slightly too dark. It definitely needs a lot of blending to be wearable and it doesn't sit particularly well on my combo skin. Not worth the price tag.

Moisturizers -Olay - Regenerist Facial Cream
emalily 10/29/2004 3:23:00 AM
I had a strong allergic reaction to this cream. Within 24 hours my face became red, sore and swollen & covered with tiny white acne-like bumps from my temples to my collar, clustered especially around my eyes and under my jaw. Treated with prescription oral corticosteroids & anti-histamines - if you're in any way sensitive-skinned, make sure you test patch this first!!! This is the first product I have reacted to in such a strong way.

Liquid -Cover Girl - TruBlend
emalily 10/15/2004 2:49:00 AM
Really happy with TruBlend - for the price it's good quality. Really good match for my neutral toned skin and I really like the mousse texture and find it easy to apply. It has deceptively good coverage, also - feels quite sheer but covers up a lot. Only downside is that it does highlight pores very slightly, but Armani LSF is much worse than TruBlend which is pretty good for a cheapie.
