First of all, MOST makeup is made of minerals. I think its hilarious that there is so much hype surrounding this "new" type of makeup, made from 100% minerals. Second of all, I only use it to cover up blemishes. i am really white and its the only thing i can put on that doesn't add color to my face. The mineral veil sux because it makes my face pink. I have to remind myself every time I put this on NOT TO PUT IT IN THE CREASE OF MY NOSTRILS. It always cakes up and creases and looks totally gross. Bottom line, Im sticking with prescriptives.
Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios "L" Total Block for Sun Reactive Skin

Once again, I am surprised at the low number of positive reviews on Anthelios. The Anthelios L, which is mexoryl sx is the one Ive been using for 2 years all over, including my face, Since its not as oily as the XL. It smells ok and it didn't explode in my car while sitting 8 hours in the hot california sun. The white sheen always goes away on my DDDivo husband after about 30 minutes. Im not trying to advertise any particular website, but I have to tell you all that if you paid more than $15.95 USD you got hosed! I use a canadian online pharmacy because the SPF-15 is the only one sold in the U.S. Mexoryl as a whole has been approved by the FDA so its NOT illegal to buy it in a higher SPF. So go out there and get your SPF 60 online.
Sunscreen -La Roche Posay - Anthelios XL SPF 60 Fluide Extreme

Wow, I have no idea where you are getting your Anthelios, but I suggest you get it from a canadian pharmacy website because I have never paid more than $17 + shipping for any of my LRP sunscreens. I have been using the XL for my body only and I LOVE IT. This is not for the face, unless your skin is super dry and dont mind the oil slick. Since this is the only line of mexoryl spf on the market, its reasonably priced. I went to an airshow over the weekend and I spent more than 7 hours in direct sun and DID NOT GET BURNED AT ALL. The best part, I never reapplied. I started giving my sunscreen to people around me who were cooking. 100% buy again and would recommend it to everyone.
DISAPPOINTED! I was searching for a new winter foundation. The sales clerk showed this product to me and I liked it. Sure enough, I did not get the same results at home. The color turned orange after an hour and I found the packaging bizarre. Dont like the smell and would not recommend this to anyone.
MASKS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO STING !!! I still dont know why ya'll like this stuff. Maybe you think its working because you are just going through a facial cleansing routine. You'd be better off giving yourselves extractions than to use any Queen Helene.
I love this parfum. I work with essential oils and get easily irritated by cheap perfume. I can tell the difference between cheap and high quality aromas, and this is definately high quality. I first smelled it in a magazine and I couldn't get it out of my mind. I have a problem wearing smells because they turn after about 15 minutes on my skin and or clothes. This stays exactly the same all the time. But here's a tip for all you perfume lovers: keep your bottles in a shoe box out of the sun and dont ever go into the sunlight if you are wearing perfume. Sun exposure is a parfum killer. remember that and your perfumes will always smell good.
Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk

SIMPLY THE BEST DARN FLAT IRON I HAVE EVER HAD. I tried to be cheap and get a conair before I finally chucked that piece of crap and ran to the beauty supply and bought my CHI. Best $59.99 (with license discount of course) I ever spent.
HAVING BREAKOUTS??? PAY ATTENTION: you have to WASH YOUR FACE WITH YOUR REGULAR CLEANSER AFTER USING CLEANSING OILs. Its an OIL, and that means EMOLLIENT. Emulsions can cause break outs and are usually only for people with dry skin. Also, you shouldn't be rubbing your eyes alot because you can damage your skin causing cuts, etc. Hold it to your face and let it break down the masacara before you start sawing at your eyes. This product is very popular because its great. Japanese products have been far superior to American products for years. thank goodness for china town areas that carry this stuff.
Hey girls, I think yall need to know why this is such a great mask. Asprin contains salicylic acid. Salicylic Acid is one of the only 3 FDA approved acne fighting ingredients. Salicylic is the only naturally derived element and most widely used among Aestheticians, like myself. Its superior to peroxide and alcohol because it doesn't dry out the skin. Anything that contains salicylic acid will zap a zit with the quick ness. make sure its a .7 or higher. Aveda Acne Relief pads contain 1.5% and they are better than Oxy pads. Otherwise, keep using the crushed asprin mask. I think its great.
I must stand alone in this because I HATE FLUIDLINE. I think its terrible. Its thin, its useless. Maybelline liquid eyeliner is better. I just dont see the point of this product. It doesn't make a good primer or color. I took the three I bought back to MAC and bought some lipglass.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HIP - Pure Pigment Shadow Stick in Alluring
elmaguey 1/9/2007 12:01:00 AM
0k here's the deal. I hate the stick. BUT a stroke of genius hit me and I crushed it up and made it a loose powder. Now, I like it. I don't know what is up with the packaging. its a stick wrapped in plastic. You cant push it up like a push pop or lip balm and you cant peel the plastic down so I thought it was just useless crap. My recommendations: crush it up like loose powder with a mirror and a blade...kinda drug lord if you think about it, but it works...and use it wet or dry. works fine.
Ok, people. I have noticed alot of Cetaphil loving and I cannot approve. This product is generic. Women spend so much money on shoes and hair but spend $3.99 on their skin care products. Get a clue. If its cheap, it isn't correcting or treating any existing skin condition, basically it doesn't work. Perhaps the cleaners you have used in the past haven't been followed by toners and the right moisturizers for your skin type. I have combination skin and Cetaphil only cleanses the dry parts leaving the oilier parts to fend for them selves. There are better products for sensitive skin. Cetaphil only removes surface dirt, it does not treat any skin issues.
Toner is soooooo important. First of all, Aveda Toning mists are fabulous. Toner deactivates any cleanser still on the skin, they balance the PH before moisturizer so that the skin doesn't get too oily from being cleaned. Toning prevents breakouts from stripping the skin of natural oils and the Aveda toner is great for calming the skin after popping zits. If there are anymore doubts about the function of toners then just try picking at your face with out them and see what happens. The packaging sucks because its glass. Great for recycle fanatics but bad for people with cats. Smell is great (as is most all aveda products) and for the quality and price, you cant beat it.
First of all, I have to agree the cleanser sucks. However, its not because its not botanical enough or it contains irritating ingredients...Its great for sensitive skin. HOWEVER, the biggest reason why most people hate it is because it doesn't foam. Im an Aesthetician and in my profession people always say they want foamy, frothy face washes because they feel cleaner with them. Fine, then find one with froth. But make sure its super sensitive because froth stips skin of moisture. I happen to like Origins frothy face wash. Maybe you should try that before you run to wallgreens and get boring old Cetaphil.
Wow, my favorite blush ever. I am a white girl with pink undertones but I love me some blush. However, this is the only blush I have ever gotten compliments on. I hate the name. Somewhat of a prude, I felt like I was buying a brown bagged magazine. Gotta love the NARS Non-slip packaging. Absolute perfection.
