I've been on the search for a perfect musk scent. I love Skin Musk but I was looking for something a little more sophisticated. I love NR for her and heard that the Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess is comparable to BR Musc oil. I sure hope not. I blindly ordered this from the AB website after reading so many positive reviews. I was at my local Central Market today and dabbed a bit on my wrist to sample the scent. It was OK at first. Very powdery and synthetic, but your typical egyptian musk scent. I continously sniffed my wrist during the shopping trip and the scent became more acrid and metallic as time went by. I arrived home and my 6 year old daughter said 'You smell just like grandma!" and my husband thought it smelled cheap and powdery. It's very unpleasant. Maybe the sample was rancid, but everytime I sniff my wrist I get a sharp and pungent odor that reminds me of burning tires and spoiled fruit. Not a HG for me. I hope I can cancel my order in time!

Fragrances -Calvin Klein - Escape For Women

Escape has been my HG perfume since I was in H.S. I love this stuff! It's the only perfume that I constantly receive compliments on. My BF loves it, too. I'll continue to purchase it as long as possible!

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - XXX shine lip gloss HEATHERETTE

I decided to purchase Urban Decay XXX in Heatherette blindly from the Sephora website. The color seemed neutral, and it received good reviews. I was SO surprised when I received it! I am tan and blonde, and when I applied the gloss it looked like a silver metallic mess. There is way too much glitter in the product and it made me look washed out. In addition, the mint flavor seems plastic-y (unlike Pout products which are yummy) and the applicator is a rounded top, reminiscent of cheap glosses in the drugstore. I can't wait to exchange this!

Fragrances -Clean - Clean Ultimate

I absolutely LOVE this scent! White musk used to be a standby for me, so I decided to try the Clean line. After sampling the original and Provence, I opted to purchase Ultimate. I do not regret it! It smells wonderful and lasts for quite some time. Ultimate seems more sophisticated than the other Clean products I sampled. Love it!

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

I received a sample of Stella with my Sephora order. It smells heavily of roses and I find it to be cloying and heady. I've stepped into the restroom numerous times today and scrubbed my wrists trying to wash off the scent. Still, it wafts around me with every move. It has staying power, that's for sure. I can see how this might be lovely on someone else, but it definitely doesn't work with my chemistry. I will not purchase.
