Hair Styling Tools -T3 - singlepass whirl
eleventwentyseven 9/15/2012 2:37:00 PM
I first purchased the Chi Orbit 1" barrel clipless curling iron, which did NOT work AT ALL on my shoulder length coarse thick hair. I returned the Orbit and picked up the T3. The T3 has worked better than most curling irons I've tried in making beachy type wave curls on my hard to curl hair. I like that you can pick the temperature and it cools down pretty quickly after use so I can put it away faster than some other irons I've had.

I'm really surprised by the lackluster reviews on this. It's one of my all time favorite polishes. On my nails and to my eyes, the color shifts from deep dark sapphire to forrest green, and outdoor lighting reveals a flash of subtle violet duochromey effect. I get compliments whenever I wear it.

Polishes -OPI - Austin-tatious Turquoise

This color reminds me of two things: Miami grandmas and the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance from Back to the Future. A pretty, kinda mermaid-y, high shine turqoise- green. It's looking kinda campy on my fingernails at the moment- I think this color is best on the toes and with a tan.

Polishes -OPI - Jade is the New Black

I was super excited to finally FIND a bottle of this, after being on the hunt for a few weeks and seeing it sold out everywhere. Maybe it's that I'm too yellow-toned fair for this shade, but it just looks sickly on me. Like, it reminds me of hospital scrubs, and wearing it makes me queasy. It must just be my skin tone. In the bottle it's great. So if you're fair like I am, this may not be the right shade of jade for you.

this + Nars female trouble gloss you're welcome. My only complaint would be that it smells like burnt popcorn?

Treatments -Murad - Sleep Reform Serum
eleventwentyseven 7/4/2011 4:55:00 PM
Holy crap is this stuff expensive. Especially when you factor in that it's supposed to be used in conjunction with the Night Perfecting Cream, which adds another, what- $50? into the price! But seriously, the price is the ONLY reason I didn't give this 5 stars. This serum is the BEST out there. I saw a difference in my skin the morning after my very first application. I've forever had miniscule clogged pores on the sides of my nose (not big enough to be blackheads) and this serum literally dissolved the stuff clogging those pores after just a few times of using it. I cannot believe how much clearer my skin is after using this for the last 3 months. It is pretty heavy-duty, so I find that using it every other night is sufficient.

Skincare - Body -Bio Oil - All Products
eleventwentyseven 7/4/2011 4:04:00 PM
I have been using this for about a month, twice a day. On my arms, to lighten a few minor scars from cat scratches my kitten gave me a year ago, and on my hips to treat small patches of minor stretch marks. After using it on my arms for the first week, I noticed it seemed to be causing little red bumps, that looked like skin irritation. One of the major ingredients in the stuff is mineral oil, so I wasn't surprised that it had been irritating me. I cannot say whether it is helping my hip stretch marks because I haven't been using it long enough, but I am definitely going to do some research to find something better. I won't repurchase this stuff. It's just gross and ineffective.

Moisturizers -Murad - Perfecting Day Cream SPF 30
eleventwentyseven 12/21/2010 5:42:00 PM
I've been using this for about a month now. After washing with the Murad Essential C cleanser, I use a little Decleor neroli oil, moisturize with the Decleor hydra floral day cream, and then after that is absorbed, I top off with the Murad perfecting cream. The reason I mention the other products is because the Murad cream just isn't moisturizing enough on its own. I've found the texture of the cream to be a little "sunblocky" at first application. The key is to smooth a very thin layer over the face. Too much and it can feel a little greasy/shiny. It absorbs well in about 15 minutes and leaves no shine or fragrance. The reason I give this product 4 stars is because I have seen an EXCELLENT improvement in skin tone, it has evened me out, completely cured me of my dry patches and discolored rough spots... and I haven't even been using foundation lately. It's that awesome.

Treatments -Decleor - Aromessence Neroli

Received this in the Decleor l'Art de Hydration Set, and after reading reviews here I was SO excited to try it. I even watched videos on youtube showing the correct way to apply the oil. When I went to use it, I found that I needed A LOT more than the 2-3 recommended drops and it was almost impossible to get an even application of the product since my skin seemed to absorb it immediately on contact. It was difficult to work with/spread over my entire face without using almost too much of the product. ------UPDATE 12-21-10 After using this daily for the past 2 weeks, I've gotten a lot better at application. I still need more than what Decleor recommends, (I use 4-5 drops) but I've found that once I get the product in the palm of my hand, I can warm it up by rubbing my palms together and then apply somewhat evenly by pressing the oil into my skin. If you use too much, it does cause small white bumps, so less is more. I've been using the oil in conjunction with the hydra floral cream and my skin feels incredibly soft and supple. I've really gotten attached to the scent and find that I look forward to it in the mornings as a little pick me up. Will buy more when the vial I have runs out.

Treatments (Eye) -Murad - Resurgence Renewing Eye Cream
eleventwentyseven 12/4/2010 11:41:00 AM
I've been using this for about 4 weeks now, and don't plan to repurchase. Some days I feel as though it may be showing me some signs of improvement, but that's negated by the few times it's caused small red patches, burning, and irritation. Also, the pump over disperses product, which for the price isn't really acceptable. At age 33, after having lived most of my life in the California sun, I really need a good eye product, but *sigh* this one isn't it.

Skincare - Face -Murad - Sheer Lustre Day Moisture
eleventwentyseven 11/9/2010 11:14:00 AM
I love and use the Murad Resurgence products, but when it comes to this daytime moisturizer I'm seriously let down. It has all the appeal of smearing a thin layer of Vaseline on your face. The shine calms down a few minutes after application, but it leaves my face looking oily the rest of the day. I'll use it on days when I know I won't be leaving the house, but that's it.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer

My skin isn't usually sensitive but it did not respond well at all to this product. 20 minutes after application, my face felt itchy and I noticed red splotches popping up that lasted the rest of the day. Won't use again.
