Bronzers -Physicians Formula - Healthy Glow Bronze Organics

Is it just me, or does this bronzer barely show up? I feel like I layer it on, layer upon layer, and it hardly makes a difference. I want a mineral and/or organic bronzer -- NOT the Bare Escentuals lame packaging one -- but I can't seem to find one that works for me.

Treatments -Skyn Iceland - Bio-Intense Healing Serum
elenacart 10/7/2007 11:56:00 AM
I love this serum! I use it during the day (I use another one at night - Natura Bisse Oxygen Instense Complex), and it's truly helped to even out my skin tone. As others mentioned, it sinks in right away. The smell was a little weird when I sampled it on my hand at Sephora... I was sure I wouldn't like it on my face but I tried it anyway. So glad I did, the smell is actually very faint and overall it all feels so refreshing. Why this serum? Well, I love how it helps to protect your skin from the pollution and - duh - stress. It has peptides and coenzymes to renew your skin and protect from free radicals. And did you know that Coenzyme 10 actually has been found to help keep cancer at bay? This is not a moisterizer, so make sure to layer one on top if you need it. I like to use one with an SPF during the daytime. I am all about prevention, hence why this serum is on the top of my list.

Skincare - Face -Natura Bisse - Oxygen Complex Intensive Concentrate
elenacart 10/7/2007 11:34:00 AM
I've been using this in conjunction with the Glyco Peeling 50%, except I put this pn every night before bed, not just after the Glyco treatment. This serum is nothing short of AMAZING. Before I was very oily with lots of blackheads and some zits I've been using some great skincare products, and no - they are NOT cheap - but this serum makes sure that I wake up to beautiful, bright and non-oily skin. In fact, it helps to transform my skin. My pores seem smaller, my skin is smoother, and I swear it even seems to glow in the morning! During the day I use a different serum (Skyn Iceland Bio-Intense Healing Serum), as this one has hydrogen peroxide to some degree and can tint your eyebrows if you go out into the sun with it on. I don't want to take that chance, so I just wear it at night.

Treatments (Eye) -Natura Bisse - Eye Contour Cream
elenacart 9/16/2007 8:02:00 PM
Just started using this product about 2 weeks ago, and it's been great so far. I must admit, I am 26 years old with no wrinkles or real problems in that area. It's really important to me to take care of my skin and employ preventative measures now that I'm young. That said, I've heard ony great things about Natura Bisse, and this eye cream specifically. A little goes a long way, and I like that it's not too thick like some other creams, so just putting on a little and smoothing it out is sufficient. It blends in right away. It has spf10, which is also really important to me. I wish it was a little higher though, since that skin is so thin and sensitive. The one thing I don't like about this cream is the smell; it doesn't stink, but it has a sharp coppery smell to it that reminds me a little of fish scales if that makes any sense. It's not a cheap buy, but if you look on ebay there is almost always a seller that has it. I bought 20 smaples and emptied them all into one 1-oz pot. This way I only paid a fraction of the cost of what i would have paid in the department store. I think the pot is an OK container, that's why I gave it a "3," but I think tubes are always best: easier to use and more hygienic. I would buy this product again if I didn't find anything better, which means that i believe this is the best day eye cream out there right now.

Treatments (Eye) -Korres - Evening Primrose Eye Cream
elenacart 9/4/2007 10:57:00 PM
I was so excited to try this product, my first eye cream with spf in it (albeit just spf 6). But it wasn't excited about me :( I have been using Skyn Iceland's eye treatment for puffiness and dark circles, and I feel that product does more than this one. I use this in the morning before makeup, and it does not sink in right away. I have to swirl it around and onto my cheekbones - and I don't apply that much. I consider this a waste of time - precious valuable MORNING time before work. Anyway, after it "sinks in," I don't see any improvement on a) puffiness or b) dark circles. In fact, when I check myself out mid-commute, I feel like I look more tired than when I woke up! To be honest, I'm only using this product for 3 reasons: 1) It's the only spf eye cream I have right now, and I'm freakishly obsessed with making sure I go out wearing sunscreen, 2) I spent over $30 on this, and quite frankly it hurts to think I'll be throwing that money away, and 3) Hope. I'm hoping it'll kick in and start working. But I fear I may be wasting even more valuable time and emotions on this reason. The writing's on the wall for this product. My search continues...

Treatments -Orly - Cuticle Therapy Creme
elenacart 9/2/2007
So moisturizing for the cuticles and hands, but what I really love is how rock-hard it makes my nails. They've never been tougher since I starting putting this on every night right before bed a few weeks ago. In fact, when I went to get a manicure this week, the lady complimented me on the strength!

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
elenacart 8/27/2007 3:53:00 PM
This is easily the best primer for eyes that I've tried. Before this, I used Benefit's F.Y. Eye for a few years, but this one beats it. You only need apply very little and spread it over the lid with your finger. I feel like I'm reading lines from an ad when I say this, but it literally keeps my eye makeup looking the same from morning til evening. Yes, my makeup - including 2-3 eye shadow shades layered AND eye liner - stays put for as long as I want them to. This did not dry out my eyes at all, but that may be b/c I have oily lids. A little goes a long way, and it's SOOO worth it!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Deluxe Eyeshadow - Zero
elenacart 8/22/2007 3:36:00 PM
This is a great, versatile product. I use it both as an eye shadow when I'm in a dramatic mood, and also as eye liner that I apply with a liner brush to create my sexy cat-eyes! I love that I can do so much with it, and it's not too glittery like other eye shadows from UD. It lasts forever, and I love the cute packaging.
