Foundations -Meow Cosmetics - Pampered Puss Mineral Foundation

Personally, I have given up on liquid foundations, I'm Asian and I can never find a brand that has my shade. Yes, MAC doesnt have my shade either! At first, I tried the coastal scents exotic mineral line, made for asian and hispanic skins. the colour was so wrong. clearly, they do not know that asians and hispanics are not literally YELLOW. Also, coastal scents mineral foundations were not good quality at all compared to Meow. Meow's are more finely milled, and goes on more seamlessly than coastal scents. Even bare minerals i have to say need to bow to Meow's quality. and plus, Meow's colour range is much more human, unlike bare minerals that just TRY to cover the basics, but just fails.... i really receommned Meow to anyone who has trouble finding their shade, becuase Meow has so many shades, and the description of them are actually pretty accurate on the site. I took 1 lippie off because i live in canada, and their shipping is so expensive!

The smell/fragrance is way too strong. My skin started itching within a few hours of applying this! I can't even tell if I'm allergic to the ingredients or the fragrance!
This is like a wonder brush! works with foundation or powder. I actually use it most to buff out my mineral foundation! for those in canada, shipping on ELF is like mad expensive! too bad the zellers here doesn't sell it. but, in Toronto, i found this girl on kijiji that sells it for regular price, so people in Toronto can give it a try I guess. BUT i do have to say, the powder brush, the bristles do get a bit fanned out after a few washes, thats the only down side. but for $3, you can afford new ones often, unlike paying $$$$$ for MAC brushes!
Bottom line, practice! you need lots of practice in order to make it look the way you want. You definitely need a top coat! It dries matte, VERY matte. If you use a shimmery base colour, the matte shatter on top of it looks like crap, you need an extra glossy top coat! Also, the formula isn't that great at all, it clumped on the shaft of the brush.

It's alright. Have to make sure you actually cover every strand in order for it to actually protect your hair. First time using it was great, however, after a while, it just became mediocre..

This is great for people who have skin that is too sensitive for scrubs or other exfoliators. Because this does not scrub your skin, it feels like a liquidy gel, and as you keep massaging it, the dead skin just comes off. It's very expensive in my opinion, I paid $39CAD for it from Kijiji. However, it IS the best exfoliator I have ever used, so I give it 5 lippies =) Did not dry me out because it did not scrub my healthy skin away.
I know it's cheap, and a good scrub. But, after realizing that it's just sugar mixed with some liquid, I would not buy it again. The problem with this is that as you are in the shower and scrubbing, the stuff just melts away before you can even thoroughly scrub! If you want a sugar scrub, just make your own, a whole lot cheaper!
Bottom line, it's cheap. However, since the stuff is really really slimy, the stuff always gets smeared all over the cap, or drip on my table of pants =( It's fun, because it's like peeling your dead skin right off. It does hurt a bit because it sticks to your skin very well. But, doesn't actually do anything to your skin though.....
It's SO GOOD! Walmart in Canada has it for like $3.50. So it's really good. You don't need a lot for each application, because the beads are big, which is why I love it too. The beads are big that, you can actually feel them scratching your feet. Will always have one in my shower!

I bought it after all the rave over it. It's total less than what I expected. It's sticky sticky sticky! Some people think it's a good thing if it takes very little to do your whole face. But this gel, doesn't matter how little you use, it feels like you can keep on spreading and spreading it. My skin could not absorb it right away. Maybe their formula molecules are too big? And when you finally stop seeing gel on your skin, it makes your face super super shiny and sticky..yikes! I don't see what's the rave about it. The pump is really nice however.

In Canada, you can catch the sales at Rexall for $3.99! This is GREAT, does not sting at all. Not oily at all. The bottle is great as the opening fits a q-tip perfectly! However, the bottle says Waterproof, but it cannot remove Covergirl LashBlast Waterproof or Maybelline Falsies Waterproof. For waterproof, I would go with the Neutrogena Eye makeup Remover that uses silicone.
For me, it did nothing for my existing lashes. However, it DID promote grow of new lashes! But that's a bad thing if you don't want hairs to grow near the corners of your eye. And I started having baby lashes growing slightly ABOVE where the normal lash line is.....which....doesn't look that great! scary. I tried using it on my sparse eyebrows hoping to grow more hairs there. But, it gave me eyebrow pimples.... Some people do suggest to use it during the day so you don't rub it by accident when you sleep. It has a white gluish residue in the morning.
Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Comfort Balm

It goes on really smooth, no sticky feeling. Once it dries, your skin is super soft. It says its suitable for face too, but I wouldn't put it on my face, just because it feels a bit thick for face. Problem: this cream washes off with water. If you use it as hand cream, the slightest bit of water will make your hands slimy. Also, the cream is more like a 'surface' moisture, not 'deep' moisture. Once you take a shower, it's like you never used any cream at all. Does not improve your skin, it only masks the dryness temporarily.
OK, Maybelline really needs to learn and improve its colour wheel and shade descriptions. I'm as pale as an Asian can get, with slight yellow tones. I got the lightest shade (Ivory Light 0), and it was wayy too yellow for me. HOWEVER, that being said, this worked EXCELLENT as an under eye concealer because it was so yellow! I recommend this mousse foundation over their dream matte mousse concealer. Honestly, their mousse concealer shades are just ridiculous, some of them are so pink! Definitely recommend the Ivory Light 0 for yellow under eye concealer!
Powder -Maybelline - Mineral Power Powder Foundation

It has pretty good coverage. However, Maybelline isn't known to make shades for Asians. Their shades are usually pink or orange, nothing in between.
