Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall Cream Foundation
egoh 5/16/2013 9:05:00 PM
It took me a while to figure out how to use this foundation. I do have combination/dry skin and when I first put the foundation using my fingers, I hated it. It got cakey in about 4 hours. After a few trial and error, I highly recommend using a brush (I use the ELF professional powder brush - with the flat top) and as little product as you can. It is a cream foundation and has medium coverage which I think ends there. I'm sure you can build it up, but it always gets cakey on me when I put the 2nd/3rd layer. For the price, I will repurchase it but it won't be on on top of my list.
Liquid -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup SPF 20

There are very few foundation that I repurchase, but I have gone through 3 bottles of the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid. I am a NC 25 and at first I bought Natural beige, but found it to be a little bit too dark, so on my next purchase I bought Nude and have been using this shade since. I love the fact that this has an SPF 20 in it. The coverage is light to medium and I either use my fingers or the flat top powder brush from ELF to put it on. The foundation itself blends very well and has a natural finish to it without being too dewy. I have dry skin and live in the dessert, but I never had a problem with the foundation drying out my skin or looking cakey. I will definitely repurchase this again. I took 1 star off because of the packaging, wish it came with a pump.
Liquid -The Body Shop - Extra Virgin Minerals Liquid Foundation

I bought this foundation in color 202 - Natural Vanilla ( I'm a NC 25). When I first use this foundation, I absolutely HATED it and almost threw it away. I normally use my fingers to put on foundation, but the finish seems too thick even though the coverage is decent. I then tried the foundation with a brush (the flat top powder brush from ELF) and it worked out beautifully ! Even though I have dry skin, I still reserve this foundation for the drier season, because it is oil based.
I bought Suave Professionals Sleek Shampoo/Conditioner combo at Sam's club. I am really impressed by the formulation. I have dry hair due to years of coloring and I must say my hair actually feels better and less frizzy after using this. Definitely will repurchase this :)
Saw a lady on youtube doing a nail tutorial using firefly. She used it as a base coat just to add some sparkle. Jesse's Girl Firely is an opal base color with very small glitters. I do not and have not use it on its own. have been using this more as a top coat to other colors and it gives a pretty glitter effect.
Never tried any of Jesse's Girl Nail Polish. I was looking for Firefly but saw this color and I just had to get it ! It's a coral pink, it's perfect for summer. :) I didn't find it goopy but it was a little streaky, I top it with Sephora Opi : "Hollywood if I could " to give it some extra sparkly.
Scrubs -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Natural Facial Scrub

This is one of those products that I feel like I SHOULD have come across earlier yet never did ! I bought it at Sally Beauty Supply as a "filler" to get free shipping. It has become my go to facial scrub in the shower. It has a very refreshing scent and the beads are so gentle that I never feel like it's cutting into my skin yet it sure does give my face a smooth polish afterwards. Will definitely repurchase :)
Blush -E.L.F. - Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
egoh 4/27/2012 12:59:00 AM
Of all my ELF products, the Bronzer & Blush Duo is the only one that I reach for everyday. I love that the bronzer is matte and the blush has a bit of a shimmer in it. I am a NW20 / NW25 and use the bronzer as contour, it is perfect for my skin tone, since it does not look like "dirt" on my face. The blush gives a subtle pinky glow without totally disappearing into my skin. Love it and already hit pan on both side.
Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Bigen Permanent Powder Hair Color in Oriental Black
egoh 4/18/2012 11:33:00 PM
I'm surprised to see so many bad review on this Bigen Powder Hair Color. I recently discovered Bigen and just LOVE it ! I really like the fact that you can use what you need and not have to waste a whole bottle of dye. I have been using the hair powder in Oriental Black for about 10 months now and have no problems with it at all. Originally I was really skeptical because you just mix the powder with water and it's supposed to be "permanent" ??Yah right! Well, it really works, it covers my gray really well and I never get the burning or irritated scalp from it. I also never experienced any breakage in hair or loss of hair from it. I did modify the "recipe" in that I mix the powder with 2 x the amount of water that is in the direction and put it in a dye bottle I got from Sally's Beauty. I gave it 4 lippie because if you have a lot of hair, you will need to use 2 bottles of the powder and that can get expensive really quick!
I bought this as a package (Shampoo and Condition). I have medium/coarse + color treated hair. This shampoo is not moisturizing at all or even balance. When I wash my hair, it feels really dry and sometimes I can't even run my fingers thru the hair in the shower :( Will not repurchase
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
egoh 6/24/2011 3:09:00 PM
I am a NW 25-30 and I started using Sunny approximately 4 months ago. I use it as a contouring color and it works great for me. I like that it's not as pigmented as some other bronzer and allows you to build up the color where you need it.
Bronzers -E.L.F. - Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder -- Sunkissed
egoh 6/24/2011 3:00:00 PM
I bought this earlier this year, but never tried it till now since it's summer time. I am a NW25-30 and this is definitely NOT a bronzer on my skin, like so many others already mentioned ,it's more like a blush. It gives a peachy/golden flush and I have tried it as an eyeshadow which also works beautifully.
There are very few things in my makeup routine that I must have...loose powder is one of them. I am very impressed with the Jane staying power loose powder, I bought it in colorless but would describe it as a light beige color. I have use it on its own and also to set my makeup. It works well either ways and best of all it doesn't "DRY" out my skin.
Liquid -Rimmel - Recover illuminating anti-fatigue foundation [DISCONTINUED]
egoh 9/29/2010 7:58:00 PM
I am bummed that the Recover foundation is no longer available in the US :( I got mine on ebay for $5. I use the 201 shade (Mac NW 20/25) and found the 201 shade matches my skin tone very well. Let me start out by saying I'm not a big fan of matte matte foundation and I do have combo/dry skin. However, I DO NOT find this foundation glittery, it definitely has a some shimmer in it and therefore give a shimmery effect to the skin, which I like since it gives my face a more healthy "glow" without having to put a lot of blush or highlighter. The coverage is light to medium, I use it more as a everyday foundation rather than for special occasion where heavier coverage is needed. I find the staying powder of this foundation to be good up to 8 hours and I love the packaging. Overall, I am very happy with this foundation and sad that only way of getting this is thru ebay.
I won't recommend any of the E.L.F eyeshadow cream as eyeshadow, because they do crease after a few minutes, even though my lids are 'dry'. However, they work really well as a shadow base and you really need to use a little ! For me, I use them to bring out the colors of my shadows, which means I mostly use the Olive duo as a base for my "green/brown" powder shadows. It really gives any green/brown shadows more pop than on it's own.
