Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo Bronzer Brush
egk81 5/3/2012 1:34:00 PM
I love this brush! I have never used it for bronzer, but it is perfect for blending liquid foundation, even better than my trusty MAC 187. I've found it to be the perfect match for my Ellis Faas Skin Veil pen. Wonderful product, terrible packaging, awful brush. But i brush on the foundation with the pen and then quickly blend with the EcoTools brush in circular motions for invisible coverage. I might have to buy a backup of this :)

Moisturizers -Arcona - Magic White Ice
egk81 4/22/2012 1:24:00 PM
I started using this product about 3 months ago because of the positive reviews and comments I had seen on MUA. I have oily, sensitive skin and was in the midst of what was an unusually bad breakout for me (stress-related). My problem is that the products that I use to treat my acne (2.5% BP usually) can make my face so dry, flaky, and red that I'd almost rather have the acne. This product has been a miracle for me. It moisturizes and calms my skin enough that I don't have any irritation from the BP, and I've actually been able to go back to just using BP a few times a week. Most days, I just use Magic White Ice, and my skin hasn't looked this good in ages. If there was one thing that initially bothered my about the product, it would be the scent. If you've ever used ARCONA products, you might be familiar with that strong, sweet cranberry fragrance. It is a lot stronger than I would like to have in a skin care product, but I've gotten used to it, and I'm happy to put up with the fragrance because of the benefits I've seen from this product. Highly recommended for oily skin.

Polishes -Chanel - Kaleidoscope
egk81 10/13/2008 12:09:00 AM
This color is so unique! It's a shimmery metallic that can look gold, silver, olive green, or anything in between depending on the lighting. It's truly stunning. Also, unlike most metallic polishes, I didn't end up with prominent, visible brush stroke marks on my nails. As with most Chanel polishes, the wear is superb: I've had it on for 5 days with no chips and only light tip wear (with a top coat). Expensive, but worth it!

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Les 4 Ombres - 83 Smoky Eye

I absolutely love this quad. I've used it a few times and it's useful for creating a pretty, sexy, subtle daytime look with the three lightest shades as well as a more dramatic evening look with the black shade. The color payoff on these is good but they go on a bit softer than they look in the compact. Blending is great. I've been getting the most use out of the silver shade with fine multicolored glitter, in fact I think I might hit pan on that one long before I make a dent in the other colors. I took one lippie off because as nice as the compact is, only one of the colors can't be duped (the glittery silver).

Mascara -Clinique - Naturally Glossy Mascara

I love this mascara! If you are looking for crazy volume or lengthening look elsewhere, but Naturally Glossy delivers great definition, it holds a curl well, and (most importantly) no clumps.

Mascara -Bourjois - Pump Up The Volume
egk81 4/30/2007 12:31:00 AM
Like another reviewer below, I bought this because I was intrigued by the color (I have it in Prune Balconnet). The color is ok, but other than that I am pretty much unimpressed with the product. I usually use either L'Oreal Voluminous or Clinique Natually Glossy Mascara. Pump Up The Volume didn't give me as much volume as L'Oreal, and it clumped more than the Clinique. It isn't a terrible mascara, I've definitely used worse, but I definitely would not repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

This is my absolute favorite hand cream. It is very moisturizing, a little goes a long way, and it is ridiculously inexpensive. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
egk81 4/16/2007 9:54:00 PM
I bought Primer Potion from sephora.com without even testing it because of all the rave reviews here and I love it!!! I have very oily eyelids, and it seemed that no matter what I did, within a few hours of applying my eye makeup it would be gone except for a ridiculous-looking line in my crease. Now my e/s lasts all day without creasing. This stuff is amazing.

Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - MoistureShine Lip Soothers
egk81 4/16/2007 9:37:00 PM
This has become my absolute favorite lip balm! The scent is light, the colors are sheer but pretty, and it really moisturizes my lips. I always have one of these in my pocket. Glisten is my favorite color, but they're all pretty similar.
