Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Incredible
rated 4 of 5

This is a review for VS Incredible body mist. I'm really picky with fragrances. I'm always reluctant to spend money on scents because they end up smelling strange with my body chemistry. The only scent that works really well for me is Flower by Kenzo...warm, woodsy, a bit powdery. I love scents like coconut, sandalwood, and amber, but it's hard to find a good combo that works for me! I went in to VS to use a coupon and decided to try the mini body mists because they are only $10 right now! I was debating between Incredible and Divine. I ended up going with Incredible because it settled on my skin so nicely! It's light but lasts for a few hours. I'm sure the perfume has better staying power, but the mist works for me (especially for $10). I'll repurchase if this continues to work for me!

Lips -Sephora - Ultra Vinyl Lip Pencil

I tried NARS' lip pencil in New Lover and loved the slightly shimmery pink color. I have really pigmented lips, so this didn't look too shiny on me. The only thing I didn't like about the NARS l/s was the price...almost $25! I tried out other lip pencils and Sephora's Peachy Pink is a dead ringer for New Lover! Almost a perfect dupe! Same texture, color, and feel, too. A great buy.

I bought "Confident," a nice burgundy. Pros: Cute color Moisturizing Easy to apply Easy to layer Doe foot applicator for easy control Cons: Packaging (will be hard to get the product out after a lot of use) Other colors were too pearly/kinda garish A bit pricey Another nice product from Lush, but I'm sure it can be improved upon. I'm happy with my purchase, though!

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #129 Powder/Blush Brush
rated 2 of 5
eeemmm 7/18/2012 2:37:00 AM

Like many other users have mentioned, this brush is harsher than other brushes out there. The bristled taper from short to long and you can really feel the bristles against your face. I purchased this hoping that I'd be getting a long-lasting brush that didn't shed or irritate my skin. Boy, I was wrong! The 129 was good for a couple uses, then began shedding hairs all over my face. I am very gentle when washing my brushes; I clean them with a mild soap and squeeze gently, then air dry. It seems that washing and regular use only cause this brush to get worse. The softness of the brush eventually wore out and it really does irritate my sensitive skin, far too much for daily use. I'm now using ELF's Powder Brush. It's SO soft and wonderful and only 3 dollars!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Powder Brush
rated 5 of 5

This brush is, hands down, the best brush I have used to date. I'm not even exaggerating! I was so fed up with my Bare Minerals brush (HORRIBLE) because it shed like no other. I went out and bought MAC's 129 powder brush and ELF's Powder Brush on the same day. I tried the 129 and liked it, so I didn't bother opening the ELF brush until later on. Well, my love affair with 129 ended quickly because it started to shed as well! Sheesh! I wish I still had the packaging so I could return it. Anyway, I made a post on a makeup community asking for brush suggestions, and many members suggested ELF's Powder Brush! I thought, hey...I already have that! After digging around my kit, I found the brush, gave it a quick wash, and gave it a go after drying. Holy smokes, this brush is soft, dense, and overall wonderful. Many soft hairs make up the flat-top brush and it provides great coverage. I'm definitely going to buy a spare the next time I'm at Target. If you're going back and forth about it, trust me, buy this brush! It's incredible and you just can't beat the price. Edited to add that I've purchased another one of these brushes for liquid foundation. It's perfect for buffing makeup on. My face looks very natural when I use this for liquid. Such a great, versatile brush.

Makeup Brushes -Too Faced - Too Faced Petite Pouf Retractable Powder Brush
rated 4 of 5
eeemmm 7/11/2012 8:12:00 PM

I spent $15 on the petite version of this because I wanted a decent purse-sized brush I could take with me on the go. I was expecting a small brush, and it's about the size of a lipstick tube! So cute! This brush is very soft and gentle and it retracts enough so you can put the lid back on without smashing the brush. My only concern is that the top does come off a little easily. Otherwise, good buy, great for tiny clutches and purses.

Gels/Soaps -Kiss My Face - Peace Castile Soap Pomegranate Acai

I also purchased this from Ross and I am super-pleased with this product! My local Ross usually has nice products that get snapped up very quickly, so I was glad to see a bunch of these soaps left. I bought all three remaining bottles and have been using them for everything. I mainly use the soap as my body wash. As someone with dry, eczema-prone skin, this is gentle enough for everyday use. I have used this for my hair as well, but find that it doesn't lather very well. I have use this for hand soap and it's great for that purpose too. Overall, a good, multi-use product, worth the $3 or $4 I spent per bottle!

Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Brow Fix
rated 4 of 5

Simple and effective. I'm on my third wax pencil. I use this everyday with Laura Mercier's black eyebrow pencil and get great results. I like to use the wax alone when I'm short on time, but I find that it leaves a bit of white residue when there's no pencil over it. Aside from that, get a chubby sharpener and you're good to go.

Nails -Wet 'n' Wild - FastDry - Party of Five Glitters
rated 5 of 5
eeemmm 7/9/2012 1:59:00 PM

I love Wet N Wild polishes and this one is no different. The glitter is very pretty and is comparable to more expensive brands. I like the mix of colors in the polish and I find it very long lasting with or without a top coat. I usually do two coats for tons of glitter. Like all glitters, this takes time to remove, so be patient.

Moisturizers -Simple - Light Moisturiser
rated 2 of 5

My hunt for the best drugstore led me to Simple; I liked that it is a natural product, but it's nothing special. Much like Yes to Cucumber's moisturizer, Simple stung my face when I first put it on. Ouch! I have sensitive skin and this caused my skin to turn a little red after applying. I gave it another try a few days later and still experienced some stinging. This is a light formula, unscented, but not for me.

Styling Products -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Penetrating Oil
rated 4 of 5

After a series of not so great haircuts, I'm proud to say that I've grown my hair out! It looks awesome, so I was a little annoyed when my ends started looking dull. I didn't want to get another cut, so I decided to try this oil. I'm so glad I did! It's lightweight, smells great, and does wonders for my hair. I usually apply this after I wash my hair, then again before I leave the house. It's really great, but I wouldn't apply this on the crown or bangs because it can get greasy.

Moisturizers -Eucerin - Everyday Protection lotion SPF30
rated 2 of 5
eeemmm 7/5/2012 10:09:00 AM

I love almost every Eucerine product, but this one didn't cut it. I was looking for a good drugstore brand moisturizer and decided to try this because of the added SPF. First of all, this leaves my face looking really white! It's like slathering on a thick sunscreen. This caused my makeup to look really strange the rest of the day. Also, it seemed a little gritty on my face. It didn't go on smoothy and left me looking and feeling a bit dry and uncomfortable. I'll probably just use this on my hands so I don't waste it...it's just not for me.

Gels/Soaps -Eucerin - Calming Body Wash Daily Shower Oil
rated 4 of 5
eeemmm 7/5/2012 10:07:00 AM

This is great for dry skin. It looks like oil and has a different smell, but ignore these minor details because this body wash is very soothing. I have eczema and it leaves me feeling clean AND soft. But beware, this can get make your shower floor really slippery!

Lotions/ Creams -Eucerin - Eucerin PLUS Intensive Repair Hand Creme
rated 5 of 5
eeemmm 7/5/2012 10:04:00 AM

This is a great hand cream that isn't too heavy or messy. It leaves my hands feeling soft without and weird residue. The feel of the formula is a bit different from other Eucerine products, but soothing nonetheless. I might have to go buy more of this.

The best of the best! I have extremely dry skin and this has helped me throughout my entire life. Seriously! My parents have been putting this on me since I was a baby. Yes, it's heavy and yes, it can be messy, but it works so well. Use it for everything!
