Eye Makeup Remover -Clarins - Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Lotion
rated 5 of 5
echan 10/20/2005 3:31:00 PM

I have been using this eye makeup remover for 4-5 years. After trying many different so called "gentle" makeup removers, I conclude that this one is the best. I'm wearing contact lens so I don't like to use cleansing oil or 2-layers eye makeup remover. Actually, I use this on my whole face, not just the eye area. It cleans very effectively but at the same time it doesn't dry out my skin. I LOVE this product =)

Cleansers -Kiehls - Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser
rated 5 of 5

I love this cleanser! I have sensitive skin and this cleanser is gentle enough for me to use everyday. The name is sorta misleading though... this cleanser does not foam at all. It has a wonderful creamy but not greasy texture. I have tried more than 50 cleansers on the market and this is the ONE. The price is pretty low. I always buy the biggest size and it can last at least 6 months.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Smoke
rated 5 of 5
echan 10/12/2004 2:32:00 PM

Smoke is a shimmery gray-silver with a little navy blue undertone. It looks pretty dark in the pot, but it is so sheer when it applies on my eyes. The texture is wonderful -- light and airy. It's never creased on me, even I usually wear it for more than 8 hours. The shimmer is subtle enough to wear during day time.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Moon
rated 4 of 5

Moon is a very sheer silver color, and it is quite similar to the powder e/s version moonlight. I use moon eye mousse under my eye brows as a highlighter and it is perfect. Texture is heavenly light and airy. The shimmery amount is just right -- not too frosty, not too metallic. Little goes a long way. I think a pot will last forever.

Eye Shadow -Stila - Shadow Pots Eye Mousse in Lime
rated 5 of 5
echan 9/13/2004 5:18:00 PM

I love love love Stila's new eye mousse!! The texture is similar to rouge pot and it's extremely light! It doesn't crease on me and I think it is far better than eyeglazes!! The price is a little steep though -- $20 for 0.14g, but a pot can last forever. Lime is a very pretty pale green color, with a subtle shimmering effect. I wear it as a wash and it looks so pretty on my yellow-tone LLL skin. I can see myself using it a lot.

Gels/Soaps -Origins - Calm to Your Senses lavender and vanilla body cleanser
rated 5 of 5
echan 9/13/2004 5:08:00 PM

This is a very expensive shower gel ($22 for 250mL) but I like it alot! The lavender scent is strong and I feel so good during the shower. I find it quite moisturizing too.

Masks -Kose - Medicated Seikisho Whitening Mask
rated 4 of 5
echan 9/10/2004 5:43:00 PM

This is a very interesting whitening mask because it is black in color! I think it can help cleansing the pores, but don't expect the mask to stick out your blackheads or whiteheads. I don't see any whitening results either. However, the best part of the mask is that, you don't have to wash your face after the whole process is done. I just peel it off and use my toner to wipe out all the traces left. It is very convenient! I use the mask on top of my toner, and I find it a little harsh on my cheeks (because I have dry skin). I think people like me should use it on the T-zone only. The smell is pleasant. It doesn't cause any irritation on my sensitive skin.

Misc Beauty Tools -Bobbi Brown - Tweezers
rated 5 of 5
echan 8/19/2004 5:24:00 PM

This is the most expensive but the best tweezer I've ever bought! I think this is way better than Tweezerman (which also got lots of raves). BB's tweezer is very sharp and precise. I never knew that a tweezer can be that good.

Shampoo -Nioxin - Bionutrient Protectives Cleanser (formerly 1C cleanser)
rated 5 of 5
echan 7/20/2004 5:04:00 PM

I have been using Nioxin's shampoo for many years because I have thinning hair. I used to use the 1C before Nioxin re-formulated their products a couple years ago and sadly I have to admit that I prefer 1C over the new version. I tried to switch to other shampoo but none worked for me... so finally I went back to Nioxin and decided that I'd never switch to other shampoo again because I definitely lose less hair with this shampoo. The smell is not very nice but I can live with it. It cleans very well but it is not too drying for my hair (although some dry-hair people complain that it is too dry for them). Overall, it is a great shampoo. I'd buy it again and again.

Treatments -La Mer - Face Serum
rated 5 of 5
echan 6/25/2004 5:33:00 PM

Wow!!! This is the best serum I've ever used!!! It minimizes my pores and leaves my skin glowing and glowing. I feel like I'm 10 years younger! I do not use this with Creme de La Mer but I can see result within 3 days. The only thing I would complain is the price tag.

Lip Gloss -Lancome - Star Gloss Starlight
rated 5 of 5
echan 6/24/2004 3:25:00 PM

This is one of my fav lipgloss. I usually use this either by itself or on top of other lipglosses. It has tons of micro-shimmer but not chucky glitters. I also like the lip brush it included. This is something I can't live without!

CD/Books/Movies -Paula's Choice - Beauty Bible 2nd edition
rated 4 of 5
echan 4/29/2004 2:50:00 PM

I find this book very useful and I adore Paula! I have learnt so many terms and skincare knowledge from this book and now I use it as a skincare dictionary. I have very sensitive skin and I used to buy all kinds of skincare lines and see which my skin can take. After I learnt all about ingredients, I have way better sense in what to buy and what to avoid. Thanks Paula!

Sunscreen -Lancome - UV Expert SPF 50
rated 5 of 5
echan 4/21/2004 7:28:00 PM

I bought this sunscreen because of the raves. Now I understand why people love it so much! It has very high protection (both UVA and UVB) yet it is not greasy! Before I tried Lancome's UV expert SPF 50, I always thought the higher SPF/PA number the more greasy, but obviously Lancome's technology has changed this rule. I would wear this everyday this summer.

Blush -Stila - Convertible Color
rated 4 of 5
echan 4/8/2004 10:51:00 PM

I have CC in gerbera and gladiola. I consider Stila's CC as blush only... I just think they can't be worn on lips... The texture is okay but sometimes I find it difficult to blend when my skin is not in good condition. I prefer creamy or liquid blush rather than this butter-like texture.

Blush -Pieds Nus - Pure Watery Colors
rated 5 of 5
echan 4/8/2004 10:46:00 PM

This is a liquid blush and I love its idea. The package is very pretty and the color is so natural. I have pink and peach and I love them both. They are so easy to blend. I like to wear this blush without any foundation on and it makes me look healthy =)
