Gels/Soaps -Dove - BABY soap for sensitive skin
ebijou 9/30/2012
If your skin is reacting and not behaving, use this. It will dry it down a little, so use a simple, clean moisterizer along with it (glaxal base cream), This will clean your skin, but you need to use it consistently, do not use something else along with it.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Glaxal Base Lotion
ebijou 9/29/2012 11:57:00 PM
I have 3 pots of this in the house. I use the cream, the lotion has more ingredients and it's just not the same. This, paired with Dove's bar for sensitive skin (my derm would say : real soap) just cleared my skin. It did. About 2 years ago I got very upset at my own skin. I was 27 and had a teenager's skin. I stopped at my local drugstore, and the pharmacist recommended Glaxal base with Dove's soap. That's it, It cleared my skin. I still get a few pimples here and there but my skin is so much clearer. I recommend this to anyone who's struggling with acne, exzema, etc. It's sooooo soothing!

Treatments -Moroccanoil - Morrocan Oil Treatment
ebijou 9/29/2012 11:53:00 PM
I have very fine hair. They get tangled so fast and are generally dry, damaged from coloring and poor maintenance (my bad). I don't use conditionner as it's too heavy and I have to wash my hair the day after, even if I use it only on ends. I use just one pump of this after I have dried my hair with a towel for a few minutes. It untangled my hair like a dream and makes them glossy. I am not a very loyal customer, I like to try new stuff, but this is amazing. Will repurchase for ever.

Powder -Shiseido - Sun Protection Compact Foundation

For fair girls out there, please don't be shy of these colors! They are MUCH fairer then the pan. I have no clue why. I am N20 and it is lovely. It does last forever. I love its good SFP as I don't wear sunscreen. I have large pores and it makes then disappear. I guess you get the best of mineral makeup (finish-wise) and other powder foundations (coverage and lasting power). Love it.

Polishes -Orly - Androgynie
ebijou 11/17/2011 11:10:00 PM
I purchased this in a holiday set from Orly at Winners here in Canada. I was a bit disapointed with the color itself -- the balck is very clear, needs a good 3 coats to look decent. It did chip after 2 days but I wash my dishes without gloves, take my batch every night, etc. Removal was easy - it came off as a peeling! It was my first NP with glitter and I must I fell in love with it. I kept looking at my nails and loved the look. I think it's adult enough (I am 28) but agree it might be better for nights out or special occasions. Love it!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Cover Girl Professional Mascara (washable)
ebijou 1/23/2010 9:28:00 AM
This is the only mascara I've been wearing for many many years. I've tried others on the way, but never had such a great result as I do with with this one. I do have a an issue with other mascaras: even when waterproof, they ALWAYS end up making maks on my upper lid... As if the mascara was melting at the contact of my skin (I do have natural long lashes). Anyway, with CG Processional mascara, I've never had this problem. Also, I've been able to work it in a better way then others. It doesn't dry too fast, so I can build up coats for a better effect -- volume, lenght, I can even curl my lashes with the curvy brush one. I'm sure people who don't have the same issue as I have with other mascaras would prefer high-end ones, but I must say that for me, this one is the best among all mascaras.

Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara
ebijou 1/23/2010 9:22:00 AM
I totally agree with the previous reviewer: in what way is that a great mascara? It doesn't give me volume, nor definition, not lenght... I barely darkens my lashes... Not recommended!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Tibet
ebijou 1/23/2010 9:19:00 AM
There is sometimes a problem with white eye shadow: they are too opaque, making you look a bit scary when wearing them in the inner corner of the eyes. I was scared when I looked at it in the box, but then as I had been deceived with Abyssinia (same color of my skin!), I decided that this one was the next choice. Well, Tibet is great! I have tried many pale, highlighter eyeshadows for the inner corner of my eyes (the only place I wear eye shadow :-P) and this is the best one so far. It is a sheer white, not silver or golden, very pretty shimmer. It opens up my eyes, gives me a very "chic", dressed up look without being too much. I love it! And I'm sure you could make it more opaque if you wanted, it is buildable. And I love the mirror!

Pressed Powders -Chanel - Poudre Universelle Compacte
ebijou 1/22/2010 10:08:00 PM
This is one great powder. Every powder I have tried so far (name it... every one of them!) haven't gave me a matte look all day long. I always got oily T zone aroung mid-day, and in the afternoon too. With Chanel's powder, my skin was matte (but not cakey!) and fresh all day long. I chose a darker color then I would have picked normally, because I was looking for a powder with very little coverage, just not transparent. I have translucent 2 (I am MAC NC20) and the color is a perfect match. I really like this powder and strongly suggest it for oily-combo skins.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Toleriane Soothing Protective Light Facial Fluid
ebijou 1/17/2010 8:33:00 PM
I am surprised to read bad reviews about this item, but understand not all products are for everyone. This is the only moisterizer that doesn't cause me to break out. I really helps keeping my skin stable, in pretty good condition. I wish there was a "richer" version of this one -- with the same ingredients! I have combo, sensitive, acne and redness prone skin... this is the best moisterizer I have found so far.

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 109 Small Contour Brush
ebijou 1/16/2010 11:44:00 PM
I wish I had known about this brush before -- I wouldn't have bought my 188 brush, maybe not my 187 either (I have found other uses for it since I have my 109). I really love this brush to apply just the right amount of blush, at just the right place. I'm not makeup artist, and don't have so much talent applying makeup, but with 109, I can certainly work a better look! Pricey, but worth it.
