I got this at Marshalls for 40$ so I feel like I got a deal! Now I just have to find the body lotion! This fragrance really surprised me in a good way. Because it has its reputation as one of the top wedding perfumes, I of course had a little sample vial that I had tried a few times. It wasn't until the 3rd or 4th time that I had tried this perfume that I realized it worked with my chemistry and was a very romantic floral for its sake. I like the way it melds with my skin and projects its sillage. I wore it to church and could imagine myself walking down the aisle leaving a trail of this. I wore it to work and when I got home my fiance hugged me and said "mmm you smell nice..like dryer sheets" and if that's the end result after 10 hours, that's fine by me! After all, we all want to smell clean!
Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

I have been pining over this perfume for a long time and only had been using the rose absolute in a sample spray. Now that I have my hands on this, I have to say that I do like it for what it is-the purity of the rose- and the simplicity of the fragrance is quietly beautiful. It is definitely a skin scent for me, as the rose-y amplificated sillage wears off within an hour and then it becomes an rosey-ambery-powderiness that is only noticeable if one were to come real close. This perfume quenches my thirst for a deep and fresh rose and like someone once said, it reminds me of being in a victorian-era romantic gothic novel like Jayne Eyre. It sets the mood for understated elegance, and it is a break from the sillage bombs my other fragrances actually are. It reminds me that it IS okay not to be able to smell your own fragrance on yourself sometimes! I am a little unsure on the lasting power, but I do love this!
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Warm Vanilla Sugar Body Butter
eaugirlspirit 10/26/2011 5:12:00 PM
This is perhaps the best body butter I've tried. The scent, the consistency, the aftermath- it's fabulous. I feel like I'm dipping my hands in rich buttercream when I smooth this on, and it has a nice dark vanilla scent that is very subtle. I actually wish it was stronger. It's exactly what I want in a body butter!!!!
I love this polish. I was looking for a rosier gold to enhance the warm gold and copper beads in a dress I am wearing to a wedding, and this fits the bill! It is such a glowing, gorgeous, shimmery color. I know it will shimmer and compliment my dress. Now I don't have to go too crazy with jewelry... this will be a perfect, shining accessory for my toe and fingernails!
I just bought 3 caramel apple soaps and 1 orchard leaves soap taking advantage of their by 4 for 15$ sale. This is perhaps my all-time favorite fall soap. Like previous reviewers have mentioned, this scent is rich and lingers long after your hands have done drying. This definitely helps you get into the "autumn mood"...reminding me of walking through apple orchards and then coming home and mixing hot caramel to dip the apples in.This is absolutely incredible! I wish they formulated this in a body care line. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Twilight Woods Body Lotion

I absolutely love Twilight Woods. I have the body cream in the tube, and it is so beautiful smelling. It is so rich, exotic and envelopes you with the scent as the hours go on and lasts 12 hours! I was swearing by the body cream and then decided to try the lotion to see if it had the same amazing staying power. IT DOES. Bath and Body Works created a trademark scent that should never be discontinued. I used to have the EDT but gave it away because I had too many perfumes at the time (I have a perfume hoarding problem, hehe) but want it back so bad. I also have a mini spray, the shower gel and the pocketbac which smell different than the lotion/cream in that they are more sharp, more woody. This is a MUST try for all those woody- oriental- musky- dark fruity- scent lovers.
I do not like this fragrance at all. The beginning burst reminded me a little of Kat Von D's Saint, with all its vanilla sweetness. But then the sweetness turned into something that smelled old and bitter within 5 minutes. This reminds me of a vintage bottle of Chanel Allure that I can't seem to get rid of. Sorry, not my taste.
This is more powdery than I thought, but still remains true to its name- wrapping oneself in the aura of rosewood. After I get past the initial powdery blast, this fragrance transports me to the redwood forest; I see beautiful mossy greens and red trees and smell the rosewood. It is earthy, wet and should be a fall/spring fragrance. Romantic and intensely woody.
I would like to brag that I got the mist and lotion for a great deal because I had a coupon for any free travel size item. This fragrance is awesome- it appeals to me because of the citrus; lemon in particular, in its top notes, and has a base note of sharp, beautiful cedar that comes through quite strongly after the initial top notes wear off. This fragrance reminds me of two higher end fragrances in particular, and I would be interested if anyone else finds these similar. Nina by Nina Ricci- this apple-based fragrance has lemon in the top notes and praline and cedar in its base notes, just like country chic. Burberry the Beat- Burberry the beat is sweet and fresh, featuring a strong note of cedar, which reminds me a lot of country chic. I cannot wait until April 15, which of course I will have to splurge on a few of the full-size products!!!!
This review is for lip perfection in shade "heavenly". I hate the smell of the product, and while I am glad I tried it, I was basically looking for a dupe of Maybelline's color sensational in "warm me up"...I'll stick to warm me up...it's the perfect shade for my complexion...brownish mauvish pink Heavenly is too- orangey pink.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Impression of Princess by Vera Wang
eaugirlspirit 3/11/2011 5:06:00 PM
Even though I probably won't go through the bottle quickly, I am psyched that this fragrance is a) so accessible and available in my local CVS and b) super afforable at under 10$ a bottle. Amazing. The quality of the fragrance is actually really close to the original princess. So, if you're at CVS looking at their real Princess fragrance behind the locked glass, um, turn around and you will see a bunch of dupes on a display behind you. My CVS has like 3 or 4 in stock constantly. I wonder how many Princess lovers know about this....??
This is sophisticated, don't let it fool you. This is a fabulous fragrance. This to me, is Lolita Lempicka's cousin. I love the way it goes on AND dries down. I used to have Victoria's Secret Sweet Craving Eau de Parfum Spray (until it leaked everywhere in a bag, woops) and this smells exactly like that. I have tried several vanilla-based fragrances and this by far beats Jessica Simpson's Fancy AND Bath and Body Works Warm Vanilla Sugar. I like my vanilla to be sweet and aromatic and I looove this! This is perfect for Valentine's Day. After I got a rollerball I ordered a 3.4 oz motherload of this stuff on ebay for a real deal. This fragrance is so satisfying and addicting- I will never tire of it.
I received this as a sample thank god, and actually have a lot of the sample left if you're interested. I very much DISLIKE this. I HATE Neroli. I can't stand the way it interacts with the lemon and honey. It makes this nauseating, dishwasher liquid type of synthetic smell. And after a few minutes I start to smell money. Yes, like paper dollar bills. I think the creator did this on purpose. Am I the only one who smells the money? It might be the white florals that mix with everything else. Yuck.
This is, by far, my favorite body wash of all time!!!!!!!! The scent is EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a soap for the shower-grapefruit + lemongrass is invigorating and uplifting. It is truly sparkling and puts me in a better mood- aromatherapy wise. They knew what they were doing when they manufactured this product. I will never be without a bar or a bottle of this. The problem is, my local CVS doesn't carry it so I have to go to a Target or Kmart to get it. Oh well, it is worth the trip and every penny.
I wish I could get my hands on this again. I wore this in late middle and high school and have to admit is the essence of my youth, (right when I started wearing Davidoff Cool Water constantly)... I just wish I could smell it again to bring back all those memories. It is a fabulous scent and I think I would wear it now if given a bottle!
