I think I had an allergic reaction to this even though I've been coloring my hair for 25 yrs. my lips got real tingly and I hurried and removed and took benedry. but, anywho, its a good thing I removed early because it dried my hair out pretty bad.

Why won't this cover my gray??? I've bought this three times in different shades up to natural med brown because I can't get it through my head that this will absolutely not cover the grey roots I have. I am about 60% gray and a med brown. I went lighter on the shade at first because I kept reading reviews of how it pulls darker than expected, left on double the amount of time stated and it does nothing on my gray. so disappointed that I've thrown my money away three times on this expensive stuff. I've went back to Colorsilk for $3.

I'm trying to think of something ingenious to say or even slightly note worthy but... all I can think of is this smells like Johnson's Baby Lotion to me. Not unpleasant if you like that sort of thing. Lovely bottle and juice tho.

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - Feminine

I really thought I would love this but it's not mixing well with my chemistry. Feminine has excellent staying power and I love the packaging. I'm not picking up any of the lily notes. It seems to be turning extremely sterile/asringent on me....so much that my eyes and nose is burning as I type. I feel as if I have been completely santatized from head to toe. lol! Still, it would be a lovely scent for someone else that is looking for a soapy with a tad of powder scent. Would be perfect for office or a healthcare worker. I can also see where it could be romantic with the right wearer. My quest continues. EDIT 4-14-10 Ok....I change my mind;-) I've tried this again by spraying it in the air and running through it. lol! I wore it to work and really liked it as the day went on. So, I'm gonna give it a second chance. Also, I like it better sprayed on my skin rather than on my clothes which is odd because it's usually the other way around for me. I was going to return bottle but I believe I will keep it. Yeah!!

I ordered this in a set from hsn and was very skeptical waiting for it to arrive. I myself love the packaging though I've heard others compare it to Vera Wang's Princess. They are a lot alike, but that doesn't bother me. I think I love the light pink color....Anyway, the fragrance itself is very very light and the only note I can pick out at first is peony. I love the top note and then it's completely gone to me after that. But, the strange thing is that everyone else can smell it on me the rest of the day and I've had tons of compliments since wearing it. I just wish I could smell it myself:-( I'm going to keep wearing just because of the compliments I've received. Also, the shower gel and lotion are exellent and I wish they came in larger tubes.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

Wow....I don't know where to begin on this....I tried this because it was 75% off at CVS. Now, I know why. It is absolutely horrible in every way. Clumpy, stickey, goopey, you name it:( Also, the packaging with the awful shape is very hard to hang on to while applying. I'm glad I got this super cheap since I'll never use it again. Better luck next time, maybe.

Fragrances -Ralph Lauren - Romance

I tried a sample vial of Romance years ago and loved it. It was the floral I could wear during a time when I hated florals. It wasn't too sweet smelling or too floral and had a nice dose of spice thrown in that set it off from the others at the time. I just now sampled some more off a magazine strip and am wondering why I never bought a bottle. I also like the bottle's design too with it's clean, aesthetic lines. Why didn't I buy some of this?!

I love the style of bottle and the amount that's in it. The fragrance itself started out deep and mysterious but then veered off into cloying sweet powder. Oh, well, I'm sort of glad it didn't work out so I won't have to buy it. If you're more of a powder fan, it may be love.

Fragrances -Stella McCartney - Stella- Eau de Parfum

Tried a sample of this from a great MUA'er and I'm on the fence about it. Yes, it's a different rose. One that I can tolerate (I usually can't do rose scents) But, on myself, it's very fleeting and linear reminding me of a simple rose water:-( I can see where this would be beautiful on some but it just didn't develop on my skin. My HG search continues.

I tried a test strip of this out of a magazine and it just smelled like plastic on me. *darn chemisty! I may try again with a real sample because I know the test strips can vary a lot. I'm not crazy over the bottle design either. My favorite Fendi still stands at Theorema.

I don't understand the advertising hype about this mascara being #1, maybe because it's so cheap? It's absolutely the worst I've ever used, I honestly believe it makes my lashes shorter and thinner than to begin with:( My favorite mascara is still Lancome Hypnose. Runner-up drugstore favorite is Maybelline Full N Soft.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Hove Rue Royale
rated 5 of 5

I recently had the pleasure of strolling the French Quarters of New Orleans and came upon this quaint shop on Royale Street. All their products are made there and there are no copycat fragrances whatsoever. I tried the Rue Royale cologne. And, it is a dry, light, spicey scent suitable for men or women that was said to be suited for brunettes w/fair complexions. The fragrance is very reminiscent of the French Quarters (spicey, a little incense thrown in) that may be why I fell in love with it. I later ordered the pure parfume from their website, www.hoveparfumeur.com and it is a lot longer lasting than the cologne. They also had a perfume for redheads called Flame, which is a deep oriental. Also, another called Kiss in The Dark, which was a very interesting light oriental. Some of their fragrances are guided towards people with certain hair colors but there's nothing stopping me from trying all. he he!

I just fell in love with Light Blue when I first sampled it. It was the most beautiful fragrance!! Then it turned to pure Windex on me. (*sighs) Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Fragrances -Fendi - Fendi Theorema EDP

On myself, I noticed clove, spices, orange, but sadly, no vanilla. This reminds me somehow of an exotic spice stand that I would have run across in Mexico. But, as the story goes for any fragrance I try with fruit in it, the fruit comes out full force and overrides all the other notes. In this case, it is the orange note that is predominate on me. Not bad, but reminds me of orange chai.

Fragrances -Calvin Klein - Obsession
rated 5 of 5
earl 7/8/2004 3:51:00 PM

I have loved this fragrance since it first came out, yes, my "high time" was in the 80's and I don't quite understand how the 80's era became so much of an insult. There are far older fragrances than that and they, dispite their era, have withstood the test of time. Anywho, I understand how Obsession isn't for everyone and that is one more reason that it's one of my favorites. On myself, it's a dark chocolatey amber with a touch of vanilla that isn't at all sweet or flowery, just spicy and mysterious. I have to spray it in the air and then walk into it so it won't be overpowering. Plus, my husband is my toughest critic, he doesn't like to smell anything! But, he does compliment this. I've recently run out and will definitely be buying some more. Someone was definitely lacking in imagination when they designed the bottle though.
