The eyelash comb is expensive at $18.00, but it does such a great job at combing through the lashes that it is worth it. I have both the Tweezerman & the SK lash combs & I haven't been really happy with either of them. They just don't seperate my lashes like I want them to.
Eye Shadow -Max Factor - Eyeshadow Trio in Queen Bee
dusty 4/17/2006 8:34:00 PM
I wasn't surprised by the quality of this trio, but I was hoping for more. They look so pretty in the compact, but the shadows are sheer with a chalky texture. Queen Bee has bright yellow, lime green & coral strips of shadow. The other shadow compacts looked great, too, but after trying this one I won't buy any more. I'm glad that I had a $2.50 off coupon to try this one!
Eye Shadow -Mally Beauty - City Chick Smokey Eye Kit in Skyscraper

I love Mally's e/s palettes. The primer is wonderful & the e/s are so silky & blendable. This set of silver/grey e/s are really pretty & work well with a lot of other e/s shades.
This foundation runs slightly dark as it dries down. I normally wear NW25 & NW20 works very well for me in the SFF. It has good coverage, matte finish, lasts all day (I have combo/oily skin) on me & has not made me break out. When applied with the Mac #187 brush it just makes my skin look really pretty & natural. I do use Mac Blot Powder over it, but then I don't have to blot or re-powder during the day. I can use any Mac foundation, except for Face & Body & I think this will be my favorite. For a while, anyway. It's $24.
I found this for $4.99 at Target & had to try it. I wear NW25 in Mac & I chose Classic Ivory-Light 2 in the Pure Makeup. It looks slightly dark in the tube, but blends nicely on my skin. I have combo/oily skin & this seems to be working well. It gives lightweight coverage, but really evens out my skintone nicely. I wear Mac Blot with everything & I didn't seem to get oily with this. It does have a slightly "tacky" feel to it, but I think I am just used to a drier/matte type foundation. I like that this looks slightly "dewey". So far, no breakouts & I break out from every new foundation I seem to try.
Mascara -Revlon - Luxurious Lengths - Blackest Black
dusty 1/4/2006 9:43:00 PM
I had to read the directions to figure out how to use this mascara, but it was worth it. The brush has almost no bristles on 3 sides & then longer bristles on the one side. You "paint" your lashes with the bristleless sides & then comb through the lashes with the longer bristles. Very long, full lashes! This was $6.99 at CVS.
Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Stylist Mascara ] [DISCONTINUED]

The LS in black is a very dark, inky black. It has a comb wand with two rows of teeth in a slight "V" shape. I have to comb through my lashes several times to make them smooth (I think this will lessen as I use the mascara for a couple of weeks), but it gives me very lush looking lashes. I do get a TEENY amount of flaking, but it's minimal & my lashes look so pretty that I can deal with that.
Sunday Best is similar to a lot of Mac shades, but still different enough to buy. Less frosty than Phloof, it's a beautiful peach/pink toned shade. The texture is very velvety & it looks really nice on the skin. I'm a Mac NW25 & this is a wonderful eye-brightening shade on me.
Taupe-less, no taupe. On a white sponge applicator Taupeless looks lavender. On my skin (NW25) it is a gorgeous pink iridescent color with silvery micro-glitter. I think this is a unique, fun color & that's what I like about Mac.
Blush -Mally Beauty - Mally Beauty Shimmer Shape Glow Face Defining System
dusty 1/4/2006 9:23:00 PM
I bought this in Life Is Lighter. I'm an NW25 in Mac. The palette has a highlight, contour & cheek color. The highlight color is a softly, shimmery peach toned champagne color. The contour color is a light beige & the cheek color is peach. These colors are good for a minimal look, but almost too light for me. I love the concept & the brushes that come with are really nice. A dual ended highlight/contour brush & a blush brush. They have pink metallic handles that match the pink metallic compact. The individual colors are replaceable in the compact, which is really nice.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Silky Eye Shadow Quad - Earth and Sky
dusty 1/4/2006 9:18:00 PM
The Shiseido e/s are amazing! Silky texture, nicely pigmented & long wearing. The Earth & Sky Quad has a gold shimmer, copper shimmer, aqua shimmer & taupe shimmer with a slight plum tone. Just a beautiful set of eyeshadows.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Hydro-Powder Eyeshadow in H4 Spring Plum
dusty 1/4/2006 9:15:00 PM
Spring Plum is the first cream e/s that I have from Shiseido. I love the powder e/s & this is just as good. SP is a deep plum toned pink with a green iridesence to it. A fun color to use with other colors. The cream e/s goes on smoothly, it's not sheer like a lot of cream e/s, no creasing, no fading, lasts all day & makes a great base for powder shadows or to use on it's own.
I gave this a rating of 1 for price (dirt cheap) just because it's such a unique color. A gorgeous orange color with a pink iridesence. Shiseido makes shimmery e/s that are very kind to my aging eyelids. The texture & pigment are perfect! This shadow looks great with Nars Mediteranee.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Accentuating Colour in Shimmershell
dusty 1/4/2006 9:07:00 PM
Shimmershell is a beautiful shimmery (not frosty) peach toned color. Very soft texture, nicely pigmented, lasts all day with no creasing or fading.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Accentuating Color in Ruby Dazzle
dusty 1/4/2006 9:05:00 PM
I don't know why Shiseido e/s aren't talked about more. They have a wonderful texture, the pigment is great, no creasing, no fading & lovely colors. Ruby Dazzle is a deep pink with a slight shimmer. I know that light red IS pink, but I would consider this on the redder side of pink. Not in a rabbit eyes kind of way, though.
