Toners -The Body Shop - Vitamin E Face Mist

My HG! I don't have access to a MAC counter and this is my alternative to the cult MAC Fix+.So moisturising! I use it to spray my foundation and concealer brushes before applying my foundation and concealer to make them blend better. I then use it on a stippling brush to set my foundation and to remove any powdery effect of my makeup. I use it to foil eyeshadows. I use it to refresh my face in the summer. Before applying face cream to add even more moisture to my very dry skin. I LOVE IT! Comes in a convenient spray bottle. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Foundations -Vichy - Dermablend Corrective Foundation

A huge letdown this one...I have rosacea and I wanted something that would cover the redness on my cheeks well without a need for concealer since I found that applying concealer and then foundation resulted in a cakey finish no matter what formulas I used. In theory a high coverage foundation should work best for redness without the cakeness. Not this one though, that is for sure. Even on properly exfoliated, highly moisturised and primed! face this gives a cakey finish and gets into pores like nothing else. Even if I set with Fix+ or TBS Vitamin E Face Mist it still is visible close up on skin. It is kind of unreasonable to expect a full coverage foundation to look skinlike but this could be much better. I would much rather have some redness showing through that have that dated '80s cakey spackled on foundation look this little gem gives. Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid is much better at a fraction of the price of this. Props for the noncomedogenic formula. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Makeup Brushes -Laura Mercier - Angled Eye Colour Brush

I was seriously itimidated by this brush. It is HUGE for an eye brush that is meant be used for anything other than an allover shadow brush. But once you get the hang of it it works fantastic an is multi-purpose - i use use it for an allover wash of color, to blend out harsh edges when working with contour colours above the crease, to stamp on eyeshadows that aren't sufficiently pigmented, to highlight the browbone. Once you get over its size and give it a try you will fall in love with it. I gues bigger is better:) As with all LM brushes, it goes without saying that this like all the rest of her brushes is superb quality! youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Blush -Scott Barnes - Chic Palette in Brandy Wine

Oh, the packaging is so luxurious - this comes in a really high-quality dark grey mirrored compact. I felt like I was opening a Chanel makeup item when this arrived today - I got it on a huge sale on strawberrynet.com. The blushes are pigmented and silky - for once I'd like them to be less pigmented because they are veeeeery dark and I am very fair. I will be using this with a stippling brush and a light hand to make this work for me in any way. This is a fantastic product - would look absolutely stunning on olive skintone and on dark skintones. Highly recommend this for darker skintones. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Eye Shadow -MAC - Cult of Cherry Tempting Quad
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/12/2010 8:42:00 AM

Like many people I got it for the acid green Sharp eyeshadow (which is really great for a pop of bright colour). But this quad is so much better than I epected it to be. All the colours have great pigmentation and blend like a dream, unlike those in both the Spiced Chocolate Quad and the Shadowy Lady Quad. You can use the neutral colors for a complete pretty everyday look so it's great value for money.I love it dearly! I have two looks up with this quad on my channel if you'd like to get a better idea of the colours. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

This was my first encounter with MAC eyeshadows. And it was not love at first try - this quad is a little hard to work with as the colors don't blend very easily and I do makeup for a living so I know what I'm doing. Once I found a way to work the quad I fell in love - the colours or soooo pretty. It is definetely a bright quad with the bright copper and bright purple but nobody says you have to use all the colours in one look. It definetly offers many colour combinations. Palettes -MAC - Shadowy Lady Quad - Cult of Cherry

Since this is a LE product and therefore hard to get, let me tell you that you can get it on love-makeup.co.uk and they ship internationally via registered mail. I swear I'm not affiliated them - I just love them and want to share the love. I love the colour design behind all the CoC -they all have the perfect balance between shimmery and matte. But some of them are a bit hard to work with - case in point, this quad. Shadowy Lady, a matte, is almost impossible to blend out properly.I have some excellent fluffy tapered crease brushes in my arsenal (like the MAC 224) and found it plain inpossible to get a uniform wash of Shadowy Lady above my crease even over a base of skintoned eyeshadow to help with blending. Smudged Violet, a frost, is also tough to blend at the edges.Nonetheless, the color combination is stunning - perfect for any evening looks. Such a nice twist on the purple smoky eye with the unexpected pop of shimmery dark blue (Deep Truth). The purples are all greyished or blackened so they work well with the shimmery deep Works even on women older than 20:) youtube.com.user/MakeupByKasiaD

Treatments -Avene - Diacneal Acne Treatment [DISCONTINUED]

My absolute HG skincare item. This actually really works without ever overdrying the skin. It has just the right strength of active ingredients to work without doing any harm. I have dry combination skin and hardly ever get full on pimples but am very prone to blackheads because I have large pores (Thanks Dad). I use this everyday after cleansing my face at night and this keeps my pores really clean without drying my skin and because it contains both retin-a and gycolic acid l don't have to use any exfoliator at all on my face. Really does keep the surface of the skin very smooth so makeup goes on so much better and smoother, no primer required. Just remember to wear sunscreen with this as it thins the skin and makes it more prone to getting sunburned. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Iced Lotus
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 7:53:00 AM

This is what you want your cheeks to look like in the winter. It's a blue blue pink with white shimmer, to quote clinique. So pretty - icequeenish but in a good way. Goes on smooth and stays put nicely. Would recommend to people with fair skin and rather cool/pink undertones. Quite unique with the silverish white shimmer.Great blush to own! youtube.com/MakeupByKasiaD

Tinted Moisturizer -Stila - Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer in Shade 1

Oh how I hate thee! Let me count the ways! It broke me out horiibly - and in the worst way possible in those huge 10cm below the skin uber-painful monster zits! And nothing ever breaks me out so it must be highly comedogenic.Besides, it has too much of a dewy finish and doesn't cover enough. Did I say I hate it? And to think I mentioned it in my monthly favourites before it crapped out on me! EDIT: Use it as an eyecream now, works really great for that! youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush in INNOCENT PEACH
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 7:18:00 AM

It's pretty but a bit boring and flat unless you pair it with shimmery eyeshadow. It's completely matte - a soft medium peach shade - great for ruddy people to counteract the red undertones. A very safe choice for makeup beginners afraid of clownlike blush. Could be softer so is best applied using a classic dense blush brush to get good colour payoff. Nothing to write home about but good quality overall. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Aglow
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 6:56:00 AM

Such a pretty colour, so difficult to describe. Clinique describe the colour as a soft coppery nude with gloden pearl and I think they are dead-on. A must have for anybody into blushes. Texture is smooth but could be smoother, nothing that can't be blended out though. Looks great on all skintones - just use a stippling brush on fair skin and you'll be apply to pull it off no problem. Comes in a silver mirrored compact. I have have a million blushes but when anybody rummages through my collection they always ask about this one wanting to get it fot themselves. LOVE IT! youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Blush -Clinique - Blushing Blush Powder Blush - Precious Posy
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 6:46:00 AM

Orgasmic blush! One of the best man, one of the best! This is a highly pigmented peachy pink with beautiful golden shimmer that actually shows up on your cheeks but does not overpower the colour of the blush itself making you look like a disco ball. SO PRETTY! Works on ALL skin tones - you just have to use a stippling brush for fair skin and a dense classic blush brush for medium and darker skintones. I think Clinique blushes are one of the most underated blushes out there and so undeservedly so. They're fantastic and reliable, unlike some of their eyeshadows but that's a whole different review...youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Makeup Brushes -MAC - 227 Large Fluff Brush
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 6:40:00 AM

I like it but I don't love it. It is a really big brush so I don't use use it for highlighting or to correct the shape of my dark contour colours around the brow area. It's way too large for my small eyes for that. I like it an allover wash of colour or for highlighting the tops of the cheekbones with powder products though. Wiorks great for that! youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #217 Blending
rated 5 of 5
dudulka 2/10/2010 6:35:00 AM

FYI this particular MAC brush comes in wider and slimmer versions - just a variation in its shape. If you have small eyes and were thinking of getting this brush for the crease then make sure you ask the MAC MUA to pick out a slimmer version from the ones they have in stock. I asked my dad to pick this up for me when he was in the US and he got a random one which happens to be epscially wide and therefore useless for the crease in my case. I use it to apply light, skintone paintpots and ocasionally to blend. I hope to get a slimmer version of this when I have the chance so that I can get more use out of it. BTW It's soft enough to feel comfortable on the eye area, great quality overall. youtube.com/user/MakeupByKasiaD
