Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion water resistant
dubi 7/4/2011 8:19:00 AM
CG Lash Blast Water Proof is my HG budget mascara. Saw this one and I thought I would try it....I was aware that it was water resistant and NOT waterproof. The main reason I wear waterproof is that I curl my lashes and waterproof is the only thing that holds curl. Lash blast Fusion DOES NOT hold curl. In fact I watched my eyelashes slowly but surely uncurl. I didn't mind the look of the mascara on my lashes....defn made them appear a bit longer....but would have preferred they stay curled. The orange tube gives my lashes a thicker/denser look. Although drugstore branch...I paid approx $18AUD for it...which for one application is not cheap. Won't buy again. If you can find it at discount prices, go for it...else give it a miss.

Eye Shadow -Laura Mercier - Eye Basics - Linen
dubi 1/3/2011 9:03:00 PM
Purchased this as I am running low on UDPP and too hard to get out the stoopid shaped tube, and living in AUS, have to do an international purchase. Got this in Linen, which is a good match for my nc20/clair/#30watt skin. Normal/combo skin, and I would say my eyelids have med levels of oil, defn can not do shadow/liner without a primer. Have tried this product over a few days and varied the amount of product on application to see if there is a difference. I get creasing within 6+hrs...my holy grail primer is UDPP and I do get very very slight creasing with this also, but only after 10+ hrs and there is still shadow in place over the rest of the eyelid. With the LM primer, it's not only creasing but all the shadow/liner has travelled into the crease..hope that makes sense. I've also tried the smashbox primer (which I haven't had success with either)...and LM is very similar to it. Although I got this quite cheap, I won't repurchase, I'll stick to UDPP and keep my fingers crossed that somebody starts to import this into aus, so that it's easily purchased.

Blush -Cargo - Suede Blush in Gold Coast
dubi 8/15/2010 2:49:00 AM
A huge favourite of mine. I'm NC20/chanel 20/stila 30watt. dark hair and eyes. Large amount of product so should last a long time. Made up of 3 colours. Not sure if the colour proportions in all tins is the same, but I love the proportions in mine. the palest colour gives me incredible glow and the streaks of coral gives me the smallest hint of colour. . I use this more for it's contouring/glow effect rather than for depth of colour. I don't have any blemishes so find that this works well on my skin. Close second is the Cargo Sunshine Coast. Don't buy in AUS , way tooo expensive.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Paint Pot in Blackground
dubi 12/15/2007 2:27:00 AM
Am a huge fan of MAC paints (tube) so thought I would give these a try due to feedback on MUA and a MAC MA swearing on her unborn children that these do not budge. Purchased blackground and greenstroke. Blackground is hard to apply....very patchy result. And on me it creases within a couple of hours. Would need to use another base underneath it (UDPP / MAC paint) for it to last which defeats the purpose. won't repurchase. Prefer my mac paint in graphito and the other colors. or just my other bases and with black eyeshadow on top.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Allure 01 Delicate
dubi 6/12/2007 8:17:00 AM
Stayed away from the Allure's for quite a while but bit the bullet and tried 01-Delicate. Absolutely lovvvvvvve it. For reference I am an NC20/N5/#30 watt/GA LSF 4.5/GA MSF 4/chanel clair, dark brown hair and eyes. This is a peachy/nudey/beigey color on my lips. The best MLBB I have tried in a while. Looks great teamed with my smokey eye, and helps my lips appear fuller. If your unsure of the intensity and appearance of other lippies in the range and are happy with a YLBB shade...then this is the one to go for.

Fragrances -Yves Saint Laurent - Cinema
dubi 12/3/2006 8:23:00 AM
Whenever I read a review that describes a scent as a mature/old lady scent I frown(at this rate I will need botox).......makes me think the person reviewing the product is immature. Would never purchase this at retail prices in AUS as with most things...we get ripped off here. Cinema is gorgeous and will surely become a classic along side fragrances like No.5 etc. It doesn't smell like the 345678 other lolly pop scents that are released every year depending on what the current trend at the time is just to try and get your money. On me it's smokey/woody/soft/sweet/sensual...I love it. Other perfumes I like are chanel no.5, armani sensi, oscar de la renta, arpege, l'air du temps etc. defn not old lady mature...just a different category of perfume. If you decide to try this perfume when you are older....at least you know it will still be around and not long forgotten and discontinued.

Eyeliner -Chanel - Le Crayon Kohl in Marine
dubi 11/18/2006 7:54:00 AM
I luv it. Purchased this and Le Crayon Yeux - 63 Bleu Ming at the same time. I'm going thru a 'blue experimental' phase and couldn't decide. Between the two I prefer the Marine khol for staying power. Goes on smooth and lasts. Easy to apply to waterline. I'm a cool PPP/LLL, mac nc20/n5, chanel claire, stila #30 watt. Dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. This really brings out my dark brown eyes. A very deep blue black, subtle, but you can defn see the blue. Chanel in AUS is very expensive (as are most makeup items in AUS)....would buy again if I ever run out.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Pigment in Blue Brown
dubi 9/10/2006 1:05:00 AM

Hmmm. Have been lemming this for quite some time, was waiting for the holiday range to come out as I wanted to try a few and hoped that blue/brown would be included. Received a sample in a swap. Sooo glad I didn't buy it. I loved the whole concept of the color and it looks bewwwtiful in the jar. I am a LLL, NC20, Clair, dark brown hair and eyes. If blended it looked like a really bad red, copper brown on me. Just awful. When I used a dark base eg. graphito and pat the product on , it looks ok. Do you think MAC could reformulate this and take the red out ?? After all it is called blue/brown !

Eye Shadow -MAC - Contrast Eye Shadow
dubi 8/23/2006 7:40:00 AM
I'm a NC20/N5, chanel clair, stila #30watt. Dark brown hair and dark brown eyes. Makes my eyes pop. I tend to do the smoky black eye and neutrals. Trying to branch out and try a few different colors. Great staying power and good blendability. Have tried it with shimma, light blues and stila-kitten and grace. Looks great in all combinations. Would defn buy again, although bit expensive in aus.

Mascara -Chanel - Mascara Cils Intense Waterproof - NEPTUNE
dubi 7/22/2006 11:31:00 PM
LLL with dark brown eyes and hair. This showed up quite well and suited my coloring. Eyeshadows - MAC Satin Taupe over eyelid and used a Bourjois mat eyeshadow, Blu Surprenant 80 as crease color and liner. Great product, and great color.
