Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Biotin (All brands)
dtrautz 11/29/2012 1:19:00 PM
I chopped my hair off to my shoulders in the summer and of course, regretted it as usual. So I thought hmm let me try this biotin I hear about online. So I bought Hair Skin and Nails vitamins with biotin in it. After 2 weeks of taking it, my already thick hair grew a lot thicker (downside), but my hair did start to grow, and my nails grew like crazy! They were so strong and didn't chip or break. Needless to say I was excited. Until I realized how bad my face was breaking out along the jaw line and my cheeks. My boyfriend even said wow are you on your period? And I had my period when I started Biotin. So I read that you have to drink tons of water with it, I did. I drank like 12 cups of water a day (yes I ended up using the bathroom ALOT) Even then, my breakouts were unbearable. They were cystic pimples (which I haven't gotten since I was a teenager), they hurt so bad that if I laid on my side at night my entire face would ache because of the pimples I had. No joke. So about 4 days ago I stopped taking the biotin although I loved my nail and hair results. And my skin is clearing up so much that it's ridiculous. I had pimples all over my face to the point that I was embarassed to leave the house without three layers of cover-up on. I read online people said you need to even out the biotin with Vitamin B6 Pills or whatever and I already take iron pills (anemic) and took the two huge horse biotin pills. So I wasn't going to add another vitamin in. Also, the vitamins were HUGE and tasted terrible. I could barely get them down without gagging. I do not reccomend this to anyone with acne prone skin even if it's just horomonal breakouts that you get. The acne isn't worth the nice skin and thick longer hair. So overall, skin had huge cystic aching acne, already thick hair was unbearble (barely able to brush it), but had nice thick nails and hair was growing a bit. I mean it wasn't much faster than usually.

Liquid -Maybelline - Fit Me Foundation
dtrautz 10/14/2012 8:30:00 PM
This foundation is so oily, streaky, and has zero coverage. I'm not sure what Maybelline was thinking with this one! I had to put layers on to attempt to have some sort of coverage and that resulted in my face looking cakey and so oily. So I tried to add powder to take the oil out, and it just looked like I grabbed cake batter and smeared it on my face. Whether you apply this with a brush, sponge, or fingers, it's so streaky. It doesn't cover ANYTHING. It just melted off of my face. Literally leaked onto my hair and smeared off onto my clothing and cellphone. When powder doesn't help to take oily foundation down a notch, you know it's a terrible product!! When they advertised it they said it's a "gel", I should have know it would be so wet and greasy! I broke out with cystic acne after wearing this for 8 hours one day.

Eye Primer -E.L.F. - Eyelid Primer
dtrautz 9/29/2012 5:55:00 AM
Eyelid Primer for only one dollar??? Yes! And it works just as good as high end make-up products. Seriously, slather some of this onto your lids and throw some eye liner and eyeshadow on and you're set for the day and night! Trust me, this works just as good as MAC or anything you can find at Sephora. I love E.L.F.

Eyeliner -E.L.F. - Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
dtrautz 9/29/2012 5:53:00 AM
I absolutely LOVE E.L.F. The waterproof pen is amazing. If you want your eyeliner to glide on easily and for it to stand out, this is what you need to buy. Granted, the "waterproof" part isn't entirely true. I was stuck in the rain once and it ran. But if you set it with powder, it will work great. Also, the price can't be beat. Only other complaint I have is that it ran out relatively fast, or maybe because I love doing cat eyes and used it alot :D

Lip Treatments -Origins - Dr Weil Conditioning Lip Balm with Turmeric
dtrautz 9/29/2012 5:51:00 AM
This Lip balm is pretty pricey. So I thought hey I'll take the plunge my lips are too dry to bear. But I used the entire tube and yet my lips are even drier than before. It smells "natural", that's the only good thing about it. It's a green color so if you over apply it and it gets on your skin, you resemble a zombie. Also, the tube gets so messy so easily. Seriously, don't spend all that money for something that Carmex can do for a fourth of the price.

Treatments -Origins - Super Spot Remover
dtrautz 9/29/2012 5:47:00 AM
Don't be fooled by the picture you see online. This bottle is so incredibly tiny. I used the entire thing on my pimples and it didn't help with the size or color of the pimple what so ever. It stung a little and smelled terrible. It did nothing to help my pimples. And for so much money, it was less than impressive. I have heard great things about Origins, but this one is a dud!

Skincare - Face -Clinique - Acne Solutions Line (all products)
dtrautz 9/29/2012 5:44:00 AM
After using product after product from Proactiv to every acne scrub, cleanser, mask in the drug store, I decided to try Clinique's Acne Solution Line. The lady at the counter said that it will work wonders for my skin.. I have moderate acne and tons of cystic acne around that time of the month, so I was desperate. It dried my face out so badly that it was flaking even when I bought the extra Clinique moisturizer. It did nothing for me, my acne was just as bad when I finished the entire bottles of the set. And my face was dried out worse than it's ever been. That was a few months ago and I am still suffering from extreme dryness thanks to it. Do not buy it just because its from Macy's, the lady at the counter swears by it, and because its "higher class" than drug store products!! Waste of money!

Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - Color Oops - Regular Strength Hair Color Remover
dtrautz 3/6/2012 12:07:00 AM
I don't know how anyone can give a good review about this!! I used it and scrubbed my hair literally for over an hour, scrub scrub rinse rinse rinse scrub scrub and even my boyfriend had to help out because my arms were turning to jelly. And yet all it did was make my roots a bright orange!! The rest of my hair is the dark brown that it was supposed to remove! Unbelievable! I cannot believe I pay 14$ for this junk! It's such a rip off. No one use!!! Seriously! I think the people writing good reviews got paid off to. It's a waste of money and the smell is absolutely horrible and lingers in your hair for days!
