Lotions/ Creams -Giovanni - Body Lotiona - Hazelnut Vanilla

I really like this lotion and the body wash as well. The smell is great, it's organic, and the only drawback is that is doesn't seem to last all day. However, it's working for me!

Shampoo -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Rosemary Shampoo

This a decent, paraben-free shampoo. I have noticed since switching to SLS free and organic shampoos that it takes a few days for my hair to get used to the new shampoo/conditioner. It seems dry at first but then it's fine. I can't say that it "volumized" my hair, but since switching to organics, I've noticed that my hair is much healthier, shinier, and I've received many compliments. Would definitely use again in my rotation.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear LIGHT Foundation SPF10

I really, really like this product!!! My normal LM powder foundation was almost a little too dry for my face and I was ready to try something new. I had read the reviews on MUA, and decided to try liquid foundation again. The color match is perfect for my skin. It doesn't hide or change my natural color, which has been a problem in the past. Usuallly foundation will change throughout the day and look pink-ish on me. My face does get oily, so the SA matched me up with double matte powder and the combination is perfect for me!

Conditioner -Giovanni - Conditioner Root 66 Max Volume
rated 5 of 5

I am so impressed with the Giovanni Root 66 shampoo and conditioner! I've never used a thickening shampoo/conditioner that actually delivers like this (and trust me, I've tried them all!)!!! I've been using these with direct leave-in (my hair tangles so easily) and the thickening lotion, and my hair has been noticeably thicker and stronger all day!

Shampoo -Giovanni - Root 66 Max Volume Shampoo

WOW! I am loving this product!!!! I have read great reviews about Giovanni, and I've been wanting to try a sulfate-free shampoo for awhile, and I am sooo impressed!!! This product delivers in a way that no other "thickening shampoo" ever has for me. I've had people come up to me at work since day 1 of using Root 66 asking me what I've done differently to my hair; it looks great! This was on sale at Whole Foods when I bought it too, so that was a bonus. I used it with the conditioner, direct leave-in, and thickening gel. Hooray for Giovanni!

Crème -MAC - Studio Tech
rated 2 of 5

I figured I'd try MAC, since I wasn't satisfied with any other foundations and the SA always looked so sophisticated behind their counters. =) Well, they recommended this product for me, and it looked okay. I used it with one of their brushes. I used up the whole container very fast, and overall, it didn't really impress me. I could definitely tell I was wearing makeup--it didn't look natural like I hoped.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals ALL
rated 1 of 5
dstath 4/5/2008 10:20:00 AM

I wanted to love this product, after seeing all of the testimonials and reading up about it. Unfortunately, it made my face look way darker than the rest of me, plus very oily. I don't think the colors were right for me, but my skin didn't like the product either. The only thing I liked was the mineral veil.

Pressed Powders -Laura Mercier - Pressed Setting Powder - Translucent
rated 5 of 5
dstath 4/5/2008 10:16:00 AM

This is my HG powder! At first I was wary about trying a translucent powder, but it works for me! It doesn't add unnecessary color and it holds back the oil. Definitely creates the "flawless face."

Powder -Laura Mercier - Foundation Powder
rated 5 of 5

This is my HG foundation! I was getting tired of liquid foundations and how they seemed to change color on my face throughout the day. Even though I loved the LM oil-free foundation, I thought maybe this one would be better--and it is!! I've tried it both wet and dry, and it definitely works better dry for me. It lasts all day and provides the coverage I want, without wearing off. If you've tried many liquid foundations, and mineral ones don't work for you, I suggest going the powder foundation route.

Liquid -Laura Mercier - Laura Mercier Oil Free Foundation
rated 4 of 5
dstath 4/1/2008 8:08:00 PM

This was my HG foundation for a long time. I found that it worked best when you put a little squirt on your hand, then applied to your face with a damp makeup sponge. I got so many compliments on my complexion with my flawless face. The only reason I have tried other LM foundations is because after a few hours when the makeup has "settled", I feel like the color is a little too orangey for me. Not sure if it's my skin or the color, but by the end of the workday I definitely need to reapply.

Conditioner -Aveda - Pure Abundance
rated 3 of 5

I used this along with the pure abundance line, and the only difference I noticed was that my hair had more flyaways than ever. It definitely dried out my hair and I will not repurchase.

Shampoo -Aveda - Pure Abundance

This shampoo was okay. It actually dried out my hair, more than any shampoo ever has, and I had more flyaways than ever. I really didn't notice any more abundance, and I used it with the conditioner, phomiellent, etc.
