Polishes -Essie - Turquoise & Caicos (Resort 2010)

This color is gorgeous! I saw it at my local target and just had to have it. In the bottle, it looks like pretty bluish but on my nails its a little more... turquoise hehe. I find that the color shows up better and chips less with 3 coats. I know some people might not have the patience for this but its well worth. This is one of my favorite polishes ever.

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Liner Liquid Eyeliner

I still can't get over how awesome this is. I'm a liquid liner junkie and, surprisingly, this is my favorite. I've tried more expensive brands but this one simply does the job the best. If you have experience with liquid liner, you won't have a problem with this. I hate felt tip applicators because they tend to fray so this thin little brush is perfect. It goes on smoothly, dries quickly, has great intensity, and lasts all day. But it also comes right off when I take off the rest of my makeup. I have zero complaints about this product.

Lip Gloss -Rimmel - Stay Glossy - all
rated 5 of 5

Finally! A lipgloss that doesn't turn into a gunky mess and vanishes after half an hour. I've always hated lipgloss because it's hard to find the right balance of pigment, texture, and staying power. I never buy any kind of beauty product without doing extensive research so I read reviews on this product for days until I was convinced. Now I have five. This stuff is great. Not sticky, but not runny at all. And its so cheap! Plus the colors are fantastic. This could easily last a few hours if you aren't like me, constantly licking your lips. I will continue to buy this gloss as long as Rimmel doesn't change the amazing formula.

Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express The Falsies
rated 5 of 5

I don't always wear mascara. But when I do, I wear The Falsies. While it obviously won't make you look like you're wearing a set of false lashes, it's pretty dramatic. My lashes are fairly long to begin with but they're frustratingly straight. This is the only mascara that gives me volume and holds a decent curl. It gets a bit clumpy after a while but since its unhygienic to keep mascara for more than a few months, it isn't really an issue. The trick it to gently move the brush from side to side while applying, instead of just trying to swoop it on in one smooth motion.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Powder Brush

WOW. I was not expecting this to become my favorite brush but I'm happy to say that it is. When I first opened the package, I could not get over how soft the brush was. I literally rubbed my fingers across it for minutes at a time for no particular reason other than its incredible feel. I know this is a powder brush but I use it as a stippling brush to apply foundation. I saw it while wandering the makeup aisles at Target and thought to myself that the flat top would be decent for liquid foundation. I was wrong. It isn't just decent, it's FANTASTIC! The density of the brush allows for a flawless application. Better than any stipple brush I've ever used. I haven't had any shedding even though I thoroughly wash it every few days. I see myself buying this brush over and over again, if not for the usefulness, then just to play with a fresh new brush lol.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Studio Line Fan Brush
rated 2 of 5

I don't understand how anyone could ever like this brush. It's awful. The bristles are just way too flimsy so be effective at applying or even dusting off any sort of product. On top of that, once you wash it, the hairs sort of form clusters and it loses its "fan" shape. Isn't that the whole point of the brush? I haven't had any problems with any other studio line brushes, but this one was disappointing . I'm only giving it a two because it didn't completely fall apart. I suggest you save the few dollars it costs.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
rated 3 of 5

I wanted to love this as much as I love the original colorstay, but it wasn't meant to be. I won't say it's bad, but I just don't like it. I wore it for a week but once the novelty of the "whipped creme" wore off, I realized this wasn't the foundation for me. PROS: It smells better than the original colorstay, the odd texture feels soft on the skin, it is a bit easier to work with, and has typical colorstay coverage; medium to full. That's about it for the good. CONS: The color selection is simply ridiculous. I tried Rich Ginger, since the rest were either too light or too dark, and it left my skin looking flat and lifeless. I don't understand why that shade is so dull. Also, for some reason I had a hard time making my blush and bronzer stick on top of it. Oh and the packaging! It's ridiculous. But that's pretty self explanatory by looking at the product photos. But worst of all, IT TRANSFERS! I know. Shocking considering it is a colorstay product. That's my favorite part about the original formula; once it's on, it's on for the rest of the day. Even with a setting powder and liquid, this product is not rub-proof. OVERALL: Not terrible, but not worth it either. This product made me realize why I love the original so much. I won't be tempted to stray again.
