Lip Treatments -Labello - Pomegranate
drin13 3/17/2011 7:09:00 AM
I love the flavoured Labello lipbalms. I grew up with them and for me they have just the right texture and moisturizing for a lipbalm. The flavoured ones usually have delicious (if artificial) flavours and usually a hint of colour which looks perfectly natural. I used to love the cherry as being the perfect natural but with oomph lip color, but the pomegranate is even better for me.

Lotions/ Creams -Yves Rocher - lavande essentielle moisturising cream dry feet
drin13 3/17/2011 7:04:00 AM
I have been using this on and off for years, always coming back to it. It is my favorite, even when compared to much pricier foot creams, it absorbs rapidly, does leave feet soft and not just short-term and the smell is IMO lovely and natural. It is a strong scent, but come on, itīs a foot cream, I consider that a plus. The ingredient list is impressive, though not surprising considering how effective this is, natural lavender water is second ingredient, The main oils are avocado, coconut, macadamia, palm and shea - no mineral oil listed on the tube I have at hand. Very nice indeed and quite affordable.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Muji - Cleansing Oil
drin13 12/14/2010 7:43:00 AM
Itīs the cheapest and easiest to find cleansing oil in my country. I got oily skin and since I discovered cleansing oils a couple of years ago I am a total convert. But this is the worst cleansing oil I have tried yet - Shu has the best ones, but other brands like Shiseido have some better ones as well. I donīt like the consistency of this much, it does not rinse as well as the others, it might be related to some breakouts (can not prove it 100%) and maybe it is just me, but the smell is slightly strange. It is a very light, non perfumey smell, but it reminds me a bit of grease or something. But still, itīs a cleansing oil, and better than any other water based cleansers! I might end up rebuying just because it is what I can find on a shop in my country, if it cames to an emergency.

Moisturizers -Aubrey Organics - Rosa Mosqueta Rose Hip Moisturizing Cream
drin13 11/20/2010 9:55:00 AM
I am a fan of Aubrey Organics RoseHip seed oil, and could not resist trying this. This has a strange consistency, half solid and like curdled cream or something. The consistency does not mix well with the packaging which would be appropriate only for something more fluid, as it is the packaging curdles a lot. The smell is lovely, and like rosehip seed oil but not roses, smells a bit wild and not too strong. It sinks into the skin well with some massaging. Donīt even think of using this if you have oily skin. My skin is mixed and in summertime I found this too greasy. But now itīs colder, my skin seems to need something richer and this is just right for morning ( as long as you top it with something with SPF) and for occasional late afternoon moisturizing.

Treatments -Aubrey Organics - rosa mosqueta rose hip seed oil

I am on my second flask and buying the third right now. I love this. Itīs a medium viscosity orange-y oil. It has a faint (delicate IMO) smell, not of roses but of rosebushes, if that makes sense. It sinks into the skin easily with some massaging though not invisibly - which is why I only use it at night. I use it every night, instead of moisturizer and itīs just magical, my skin is lovely fresh and dewy in the morning. Itīs better than any serum I have tried to far. When I skip the routine I notice the difference. I think it is even better when you use it on slightly damp skin. But as I said this is pretty awesome. Compared to other brands, I think this is much better, purer, different viscosity and melting better into the skin, deeper colour than the Nealīs Yard oil. It is also much much better than La Bottega Verde oil. Much Better as well than the other no brand organic rosehip oils I bought on organic stores and health food stuff. Though I have not tried Kosmea yet, but mean to try. Packaging, I was not a fan of the roll-on but have been converted. It took me months to realize that the roll-on is extremely easy to remove if you just leverage the top off with some power. But itīs strong enough on its own that you need to put some effort into it, which is good, since it just does not spill or fall out on its own. I have been carrying this around in purse and luggage for over a year with no problem. Price - applied every night I go through one package in 4-6 months. The price I buy this is usually around Ģ11. It is expensive for a small tube of oil looking at it one way, but since this is much better than any night cream or serum it feels quite reasonable! IOther worse quality brands are same price or more expensive (NealsīYard cough cough).
