Styling Products -Kevin Murphy - Session Spray hairspray

I am a big fan of Kevin Murphy products. This hairspray gives great hold and doesn't result in flakes when you brush your hair after applying it. It also gives great shine - although for me this is the one downside of the hair spray - I normally prefer a more matte spray. Regardless, this does a great job in controlling flyaways and giving good hold.
This is a great shampoo. It leaves my hair nice and clean. I have an oily scalp and dry ends and this shampoo does not weigh my hair down. It also allows me to wash my hair every second day (I normally need to wash my hair daily). I will definitely buy this again.
Liquid -Paul & Joe - Protective Fluid Foundation SPF 25

This foundation isn't actually that bad - it would be great for someone with skin that's on the oily side though. My skin is on the dry side, so it didn't work too well for me. I had to mix it with a moisturising primer so that it was more comfortable on my skin. Coverage was great though, and it did keep my skin looking really refined. Easy to apply. I'm heading back to Light Cream Foundation!

I can't believe this product actually works. I was very dubious as to it's claims of removing and preventing blackheads. In fact, I probably would never have bought it had I not received a sample as a gift. This is a clear gel that you apply after cleansing your face and before your moisturiser. It doesn't work immediately - I found it took about 3-4 days before the blackheads on my nose 'softened' up and became easy to remove (with a washcloth or good old squeezing...). If you don't remove it then it takes about 2 weeks for the gunk to come out of your pores naturally. ANYWAY, at about day 10 of using this I realised it was doing it's job and I bought a full-sized bottle. It's now been 3 months and I no longer have blackheads on my nose or on my chin. Pores appear much smaller and more refined. I can't believe this actually works! I've recommended it to all my friends and family....
I love these glosses! I have used them in the original shade as well as the 'berry' shade. The original gives a nice pink (almost fuschia) colour to my lips. Even after the gloss has worn off, a pink stain remains, which is great. The berry version gives a more intense colour (fuschia). Nice and moisturising. One of my favourite glosses, especially because it acts like a lip stain (without the dry-ness).
This concealer has a slightly 'tacky' consistency. I initially bought it as I thought it would be great for my undereye circles, as the area is quite dry. Whilst it does an okay job at concealing, it doesn't help with the dry-ness and in fact tends to settle into the fine lines, thus making the wrinkles more obvious. I've also used it to try to cover up pimples and scarring, although I find the staying power isn't great - it tends to slide off, perhaps because of it's tackiness. Would not recommend.
I'm NC 30-35 and use this in shade number 2. This is great for covering up pimples and scarring. Great pigmentation, great staying powder. It also works well for mild dark undereye circles, although you have to moisturise well prior or else it can make the area look pretty dry. I prefer this over Time Balm's concealer, as I find it's staying and covering-up power is superior.
I'm a little disappointed with this product. Here's a bit of background - I love products like this - powders which you can sprinkle onto your hair to give it some 'guts' and volume. I've previously used Aveda's version, as well as Osis Dust it (which I much prefer). Compared to Dust it, Powder puff's powder is finer. As a result, you need to use a lot of it to achieve a noticeable result - I find myself sprinkling in heaps to get the same result that one 'shake' of Dust It gives. Furthermore, this product costs much more than Dust It. The effect is great though - I sprinkle it onto dry hair at the roots, mess it up a bit and get good volume. The packaging is also very cute! I'll return to Osis once I use this up.
Treatments (Eye) -Pevonia Botanica - EVOLUTIVE EYE GEL

I bought this on the recommendation of Paula Begoun's Beautypedia - it was one of 'Paula's picks'. I must say I'm not having much luck with her picks for best eye creams, because this has definitely not worked well for me. The cream is not moisturising enough - my under-eye lines seem even more prominent after using it and the area in general seems drier after use. Conversely, it is also causing the formation of milia. I think the formula just doesn't work for me. I'm going back to using Clarins' Special eye balm!
This is a glitter rich polish - a black jelly base with small red and hexagonal glitter. Application was easy, though you have to be careful to make sure the large glitter pieces doesn't overhang the nail. The glitter spread pretty evenly throughout the nail. The finish was pretty bumpy, so a top coat was necessary. The overall look was pretty spectacular - it looked like crushed gems were on my nails. The wear was good - no chips for the 3 days that I wore it. Removal was difficult, which seems to be the norm for glitter polishes. This polish has a high impact factor. I would recommend it for people who are glitter fans.
Positives - cleans hair well, gives hair some volume, great price. Negatives - I find it makes my roots oilier than normal (compared to other shampoos) by the second day and I REALLY need to wash it by then, which is not normal for me. It gives hair volume but at the expense of drying out the ends, and my hair became really static-ky (sp??). Would not repurchase.
Moisturizers -Clinique - Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturizer

I have this in 'dry/combination' for winter and oily/combination in summer. It sinks in nicely and leaves my skin well moisturised with no shine. I have used this for 18 months now and have no plans to stray. Will definitely repurchase.
This shampoo weighed my hair down. For reference, I have Asian hair, medium thickness, which I consider 'normal'. When I used the shampoo, it left my hair nice and soft, but unfortunately it made my hair flat and limp. It also felt as if my hair was dirty and made my scalp itchy. Will not repurchase.
I love this styling product - it's fantastic for creating volume that lasts and doesn't weigh my hair down. I find it to be more effective than the Anti Gravity product in creating volume, but it can make the hair feel a little dry. Despite this, it's a fantastic product - I can create a very voluminous straight hairstyle, beach hair or use it prior to hot curlers to ensure the curls stay in place. Love it!
This is a great product at a great price. I use it a couple of times a week instead of my night moisturiser, with a drop or two of rosehip oil in winter to amp it's moisturising capabilities. I wake up with soft, smooth and luminous skin. I also use it as a zit zapper (as recommended on the acne.org site) - I apply it at the first sign of an emerging pimple. It really works wonders as the pimple is normally gone by the next day. I do not use this product during the day as I find it tends to make my face shiny, plus it balls up when I apply foundation over it. Despite this, I would definitely repurchase this and recommend it highly.
