It's okay. I use it for a bright, poppy, slightly pink red from time to time. It's nothing super special I guess, it has very little staying power and the color isn't that exceptional. Maybe I'll start using it again for a pop against all the neutrals I wear, but ehhh I probably wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase.

One of my all time favorite lipsticks. It's a gorgeous garnet red, it looks really glamourous on me but its casual enough to wear on a daily basis (which I do) the matte formula can be a tiny bit dry (slightly dryer than the semi matte lipsticks..but I don't find those dry at all, many find the pure mattes moisturizing so it just depends I guess!) but I've already bought another tube. I believe this has been added to the permanent collection. It's a bit vampy, not too vampy though. I'd recommend it to people who want to transition or test red on them, because it pulls very deep,sophisticated pink on me. Or for those who want to try something vampy, because this can be applied lightly or dark and will look very different. Again, it's worth trying for sure :)

Lipstick -Revlon - Matte Lipstick- Wine Not

Oh my god! Beautiful plummy red wine lipstick, super cheap, vampy and matte, lasts for hours and hours! Warning, it's rather bold. I apply some chopstick before I use it because it can get a little flaky after 5 hours or so. Highly recommend :)

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette

Since everyone has an opinion on it, here's mine. It's good, it's more than good, it's actually quite exceptional. I got it as an early Xmas gift from my aunt and, yeah I've known all about the Naked Paltte, if you pay attention to the beauty community at all you know about it. And I always thought the colors were kind of meh, and I love neutrals. If anything I wanted the Naked 2. But I've been playing with this a lot and I've definitely come around to it. My absolute favorite combo is virgin in the inner lid and darkhorse blended with it on the outer lid. Beautiful, makes my green eyes pop. Most of the shadows are not only shimmery, but shiny. I don't know how to describe it, they just glow. Other shades I like are smog, and half baked. Half baked is very gold, and smog is a brass brown color, they look really good blended together. The thing is that I'm sort of...indifferent to the rest of the palette. Sin and Toasted are nice, Hustle is pretty but sort of typical, i never wear Gunmetal, Sidecar is too shimmery and the glitter in it falls out, Buck and Naked both look chalky to me and neither show up incredibly well. Creep is pretty too. Overall I like it, I like playing with it, heck maybe I'll even get the naked 2, that's my take on it :)

Blush -NYX - Rouge Cream Blush - Boho Chic

This is one of my favorite blushes of all time. And I'm genuinely surprised too after my first encounter with their cream blush formula that left me less than impressed. But this one worked for me. I'm not a major blush person, but I was really impressed with this. For the record, I'm fair skinned, paler than most, with neutral/slightly cool tones. This blush looks very good on my fair skin and as much as I love matte blush, this really makes me glow. After reading reviews on here, I was prepared for chunky glitter, ect. But I still wanted to try it, and I'm so glad I did. The color is a very light, slightly cool pink with a sheen. The sheen isn't obvious, like screaming for attention glitter. It's just slightly shimmery, giving me a slight glow that looks lit-from-within. I think this looks amazing on fair skin, and it's worth giving a try. Probably the only issue I have with it is the longevity, or lack thereof. It lasts for less than three hours. But I like my blush extremely subtle anyway, so I guess I don't mind too much. OH ALSO this looks really good with BeneFit High Beam, just thought that should be known :)

Mascara -NYX - NYX Doll Eye Mascara- Long Lash

This is a pretty good mascara. Not great. But pretty good. It only added a tiny bit of length, but my real problem with it is that it doesn't hold a curl. Like at all. And I know it's not a curling mascara, I know, but it makes my eyelashes stick straight down! But it's a fantastic lower lash mascara! That's where it really looks like dramatic doll lashes, on the lower lashes. Update: after using it a few more times, I realized that this is just too wet and clumpy, so I'm taking off another star.

Mascara -Revlon - Overtime

I didn't care for this. I was so excited that Revlon had a new lengthening mascara! But it doesn't really lengthen my lashes. I would have thought this was a volumizing mascara. The funny thing is, the Revlon PhotoReady mascara that came out a little while back is advertised as a volumizing mascara, even though most reviewers including myself thought it was more of a lengthening mascara. I didn't like how this looked. It wasn't clumpy, but it was very wet. It is very waterproof though! Almost too waterproof. If you're really looking for a seriously waterproof mascara, this will be right up your alley. But for me, it was such a hassle to take off, I had to tug so hard it ripped off a few lashes. I don't recommend this for most people! But if what I described appeals (and I'm not being sarcastic, I think for some people this might be a good option) check it out

I can't believe no one is talking about these, they're great! They all have names of flowers, I have tulip (bright cool pink) and hibiscus (warm peach) and they both have a nice matte finish. I have nothing bad to say about these, and I like them way more than the NYX creme blush because it doesn't look oily. Just subtle and pretty. there are several shades, and some have sparkly and shiny finishes. The hibiscus color looks a little muddy on me but it works in the summer. Tulip looks like how my cheeks are naturally when I blush. Highly recommend these!!

This is my HG bright red! I love this I love this I love this *waves arms like little girl* ok no but seriously, this lipstick is awesome and definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a bright red and don't want to shell out all the cash. I agree with the reviewer that said this is pigmented like crazy because it's just SO UNBELIEVABLY PIGMENTED. This lipstick is a bright, cool toned red. It can look a little pink when applied lightly, but don't let that fool you, it's a bright, true, red when applied to it's full opaqueness. It's very creamy too. I tried the Wet n Wild Silk Finish in 508A, and it was kind of hard to apply and dragged on my lips quite a bit. But this is the exact opposite. It's so creamy, but doesn't bleed too bad (I might use a lipliner though!). For 99 cents, this is a steal. It's a bright and beautiful true red, and well worth taking a look at! The only thing I'd change is the packaging, which has a long clear cap. It's nothing beautiful to carry around with you like NARS or MAC lipstick. But I can forgive that 100% because it's not like the packaging is faulty or anything unusable. I still just can't rave about this enough!

Mascara -Ulta - Lash Extension

I wish I knew this applicator had no bristles, or else I'd never buy it. This mascara is really awful. It's globby, wet, and makes all of my lashes stick together. The "brush" doesn't elongate... actually, I dont know what the point of it is. I haven't tried it with another mascara brush, but I don't like the formula, so I'm not going to try.

I can't even comprehend how bad this is. I'm so mad at myself for just buying this on a whim, without checking reviews. This mascara is horrible. HORRIBLE. it's so wet, messy, clumpy, and really just unpleasant to wear. Oh and if the reviews haven't stopped you from trying this, don't buy it in soft black, because it's just gray. Maybe it was mislabeled, but I bought another ulta mascara the same day in soft black and it looks pretty gray too... Ulta brand really needs to step things up.

I have such terribly mixed feelings about Cha Cha tint. First of all, the color. The color is why I bought it, and why I'd buy it again. It's a beautiful peachy pink on the cheeks, and it doesn't seem to look like much on my lips, so I never really use it as a lip stain. The biggest problem is how it applies. You really have to blend it fast. I mean really fast. And sometimes it looks darker in certain areas, like where I started to apply before I blended it. sometimes you put way too much on, so I'll have to try and cover it up, which is a huge pain. The packaging is awful. I have to always keep this in an upright position in my bathroom cabinet, because I cannot risk it falling sideways in my makeup drawer again. I had the cap screwed on tightly, but product seeped through and stained my drawers. When I spend almost $30 I expect the product to NOT fail the hardest in its packaging. But with all my hate, I still use this. It's actually one of my very favorite blushes...I have major love affair with peach. When I get it just right, it looks so beautiful, a truly lit-from-within glow. It doesn't have any icky glitter or shimmer, and it looks really natural on my cheeks, even though my cheeks don't naturally blush peach (whose do?). I think this could look good on just about anyone. This is one of my favorites, but I don't always use it because it's so frustrating. I may buy again, but I'd have to really think carefully about it, because it's really quite pricy (around $30).

I'm sort of mystified on why I wanted this in the first place, but I guess I just wanted to try a light pink. This is a very, very blue pink, which is supposed to look good on me, being cool toned and such. But I don't really get that, because it makes me look like I'm ill. If you're on the lookout for blue pinks, look no further. I could see someone who has an appreciation for candy, light, barbie pink loving this. And no offense if you love this or it looks good on you, but I just dont feel like it could be flattering on most people. I'd say only get this with the expectation of it being on the wild side and if you're into bright colors...but for me this is going in the garbage.

After hearing all the rave reviews, I thought this was going to be perfect...and it absolutely is! This has to be one of my favorite lipsticks. It's so beautiful, a red brown. But it's also sheer, which I kind of like. It doesn't last very long at all though, so I'll have to reapply, but I like it so much I'm willing to do that. If a sheer brick red sounds like your cup of tea, you should definitely give this a shot! P.s., don't let the way it looks fool you, it's really not that brown or intense on the lips!

I'm just in awe. This lipstick is lovely. It's hard to describe...but imagine a mixture of red and orange that isn't too overpowering of one or the other. The color is just gorgeous. It's a rusty/spice color with gold shimmer that adds a lovely glow. It's slightly sheer, but not overly sheer. It's not transparent at all, it's just not quite opaque. It's also not as drying as other NARS lipsticks (I think it's the formula of the sheer lipsticks), which is really nice if you have chapped lips all the time like me. I think this should be part of their permenant line. I might even buy a spare before times up on this. Darn limited edition.
