I use it in almost any potion I whip .It has anti bacterial and anti aging properties . 1) I use a few drops to my Green tea ACV toner. It helps prolong the life and also gets rid of the ACV smell (Eww) 2) For hair - Its just amazing. I cant rave enough about how this changed my hair - A-M--A-Z-I-N-G !! I had something that looked like traction alopecia -two bald patches due to tight ponytails. After I realised that, I stopped tying my hair tightly and I was a lot more gentler to my hair. In addition to that, I massage rosemary water + water mixture to that area before I go to bed everyday. The smell is theraupetic and the bald patches are less obvious after a month. Rosemary is truly a great hair growth stimulator. Also, it helped me keep dandruff at bay. I spray the same mixture into my scalp as a leave in treatment after I come out of shower. Recipe (by farahdhukai) : Take a glass of boiling water and add 8-10 drops of rosemary oil to it. Allow it to cool down to room temperature and pour into a spray bottle . (She recommends this for brunettes).

Okay, this one is a HG. A keeper for life. I use this only for my hair and it has made a really biggg difference. I am too scared to use it on my acne prone face and it did not work for my undereye circles.But for my hair just loves this Here is how I use it : I take a tbsp of SAO, a tbsp of Coconut Oil, 8-10 drops of Rosemary oil. I massage this cocktail to my scalp and on to my hair shafts. I leave it on for atleast 3-4 hours depending on the time I have. I wash it later. Results : Smooth,shiny, hydrated hair. I have black hair but when it is dry it looks kind of brownish. After I started using this, my hair was more darker, no frizz,was hydrated - basically, undercontrol. This is just amazing !! I cant stress this enough. It basically made my transition to going naturally curly much easier.

Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Sensational in Plum Perfect

As much I love the consistency of the lipstick , I hate the color. The color is plum with hints of mauve and pink. But when put on my pigmented lips it turned out to be some crazy color. Also, the color is a bit tacky for my choice. It looked really pretty when swatched on my hand but doesnt look good on my lips.My bad. But the consistency is super moisturizing, staying power is okay and the pigmentation is super rich !! Its just crazily pigmented. You just need one swipe of it to get the color. Overall has all pros of a good lipstick, so if you like the color , go for it !

Styling Products -Schwarzkopf - Osis+ Dust it mattifying powder

It is great for achieving loads of volume but it is very hard to wash off. I use an oil /conditioner first on the areas that i applied osis and massage it well . Then I shampoo. This method works ok . I don't find myself using this product daily because it hard to wash off later . I just use it whenever my hair needs extra oomph (partying,dinner etc). Overall, it is a great product which is good for its price Please be aware of fake osis. Here is a pic showing fake and real osis (not aff). Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Toner

UPDATE 10/28/2012 : The aspirin toner stopped working for me after using it for 2-3 weeks.I mean, It did control clogged pores and my pimples, but not completely. There was always small zits lying around. No matter what I did my face just wouldn't clear up completely. Now I switched to using actual salicylic acid - 2% SA through Stridex pads maximum strength and my skin got rid of all the zits within 3-4 days. I would suggest aspirin toner if you had mild acne with a very few zits but if you are mild-moderate, better to go for actualy SA products ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Love Love Love ! Thank you so much MUA ! Let me tell you, I never liked DIYs - I felt they are messy and crude techniques. But MUA just blew my mind away with the DIYs . Results : I have an acne prone skin during summer and I frequently have clogged pores. I tried this toner on suggestion at skin care boards and my CLOGGED PORES DISAPPEARED ! Acne is under control \m/ Recipe - Trial and Error: I use about 3-4 tablets for 3oz . I started with 1 tablet and watched how it works for a week. I did see positive results but they were slower. The break outs were disappearing. However they would reappear if I stop applying it for two days. The next week, I used 2 tablets - Better ! It reduced my breakouts faster but I did not yet achieve clear skin. This week , 3 tabs for 3 oz - Works perfect ! My pimples have dried out and my skin glows ! This is my HG and I will keep on using it. P.S : I give a break to all the exfoliation once every 2 days. Complications Haven't seen any but I would definitely stop it - during pregnancy or any trauma Aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation - so it prevents clots and you bleed for a longer time. So, if you are a hardcore sportsperson who gets wounded a lot, i dont think it is a good idea to use it in high concentration. (Though, I highly doubt its efficacy in transdermal route - it is relatively lower) As for gastric ulcers, its only if you ingest it regularly and you already have GERD or gastric ulcer.

Crème -Maybelline - Dream Smooth Mousse

I love this product - not as a foundation but as concealer ! I got a wrong shade of this one - Honey Beige - this was too orange-y for me (Seriously people, who has orange undertones !!!) I never used it until a month later, I ran out of my concealer (maybelline dream matte mousse concealer) and decided to use this. I was simply blown away. I didn't even have to use an eye cream. It was so creamy and hydrating. Over the years, i developed very bad dark circles so I need to correct them with a peachy concealer first. So, this became my concealer-corrector eventually. Pros : It is super layerable and moisturizing. It is heavy pigmented - gives medium to heavy coverage. Cons: I think it is too heavy for people having oily skin. Overall, I will buy it again :) It is so cheap and perfect.

Concealers -Unlisted Brand - 15 Concealer/ Corrector Palette

I bought this on ebay for 5$.I bought this after reading the reviews here and I must say - I was disappointed. The concealers weren't creamy ! They were all chalky and dried up. They looked creamy on the palette but definitely not on skin. I tried to dip my concealer brush in a little bit of moisturizer before dipping it into the concealer - but in vain. They are so dry. Overally, I love the packaging. It is compact and small, fits makeup bag and great for travelling. I wont purchase this again.

Masks -Elizabeth Arden - Clear the Way

I have acne prone oily skin . I do get acne but not the big cystic ones. I decided to try this cleansing mask because well, this was cheap and also personally i like EA brand. So I got this for 9.99$ and used this just as described. First time result- my pores have become squeaky clean, skin has become brighter BUT i have many invisble tiny bumps over my face (especially on my forehead). Second time- same results, the tiny invisible bumps have reduced in number. I have been using it for 2-3 weeks, and breakouts have significantly reduced. However, I still have tiny bumps. I think thats because I dont use a toner but you never know! For now, we share a love/hate relationship !!! Not gonna buy again, looking for cheaper and better alternative. Update : Did not help my clogged pores however hard I tried. Switched to clay masks

I have wavy , slightly dry hair. I blow dry my hair atleast twice a week and I wanted a pre blow dry lotion which would minimise the frizz and help keep my hair straight. Well, this did the first thing - it eliminated frizz but it didnt help me hold my style for long. So, I was little disappointed . No, i am not going to buy this again - its 14$ for 2 oz bottle which is pretty expensive. I am currently loving my Matrix biolage serum (which is pretty inexpensive in the store i bought it from). I am gonna stick to it. It is still a good product but not a HG for me !!

Cleansers -Clean & Clear - Oil Free Foaming Facial Cleanser

HG HG HG HG !!!! I love this cleanser. This is the very first cleanser I've started to use , switched to other ones sometimes, but I still vote for this one. My skin type is combination to oily and I dont find any other cleanser that keeps my pores squeaky clean than this one. I've tried many neutrogena cleansers but they all broke me out (Even the sensitive skin extra moisturizing cleanser ). Every time they broke me out, I'd come back to this cleanser and use it for a few days -- All the acne stops!! Seriously, now I dont have any thoughts of switching this cleanser. But the only drawback is that this cleanser is very drying during winter. I need to use appropriate moisturizers and hydrating masks to keep my skin supple. Overall , i love love love this cleanser. Recommend to anyone who has acne prone , oily skin ! Dry skin people, stay away!!

Hair -Unlisted Brand - MACADAMIA NATURAL OIL Deep Repair Mask

I didnt find any mind blowing results after using this masque. It didnt work for my hair.I have wavy, fine and frizzy hair .Its not super damaged but dry due to all the blow drying and flat ironing it. I started using this mask after i got my hair trimmed. I wanted to remove all the split ends so that i can make my hair healthy. This mask made my hair smooth and little bit shiny. But my hair was still frizzy after using this mask and air drying it. I tried to blow dry and see how it looked then. I was disappointed even then. My hair (some parts) felt like straw. My regular conditioner (herbal essences blue one) seriously reduces frizz much more. I am not going to buy this again.

I love this heat protectant spray! Its just amazing stuff. Okay, I have wavy brown hair which I frequently blow dry. I used to use Loreal hot reconstructor thermal protectant spray . It did absolutely nothing for my hair. I have little baby hair in the front which looked deeply fried when I flat ironed. My hair became coarse and I stopped flat ironing since then. I ran out of that stuff and bought myself this tresemme heat tamer spray. Oh boy, this is just amazing ! Pros - doesnt fry your hair, keeps your hair soft and natural looking , very convenient packaging (few spritzes is enough to cover medium length hair) , smells good. Cons- I haven't found any ! And at times when I just leave my hair without blow drying/flat ironing, I see that my hair is absolutely fine without any damage. I swear, it even shines !! MY holy grail heat protectant !!!!

Styling Products -TRESemme - Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse

If you are looking for volumising mousse that is cheap and does the job perfectly, you should REALLY REALLY REALLy try this one ! It almost doubles (kind of triples too) hair volume. Seriously, amazing stuff. I use it only to my roots because it makes my hair crunchy when I use it over my strands. So I stopped using it on my strands , I just use it on roots and blow dry it upside down. It gives amazing oomph to your hair. And unlike other products, this volume usually lasts for 2 days for me. I took off one lippie cuz I did not like the crunchy nature of it when applied to rest of my hair. I tried using less amounts, like one and half dollop but then that did not give me any volume. But still, its my favourite holy gral volumising mousse !!!

It is a very good leave in conditioner and that is it . It helped repair my dry damaged hair a bit but then I dint see any mindblowing results. I guess I had too many expectations on this product. Let me tell you what it did to me : I have been using it since two months and it decreased my frizz, reduced split ends, its a good heat protectant. It seemed to repair my dry hair at first but it dint really give me the results I expected in the long run. For now, I will repurchase it until I find my HG leave in conditioner. It is good but its not the best !
