I got a sample of this and having read the positive reviews here, I was really excited to try it! But... it caused me to break out around the eyes. I developed about 5 to 6 small pimples within a week of using this product. :( the search for the HG eye cream continues...

Shampoo -Soap and Glory - Glad Hair Day

This is the WORST shampoo I've ever used in my entire life. I have normal straight hair and I live in an Asian country which is quite humid, hence I shampoo and condition my hair daily. I have never done any chemical treatment (including dyeing, perming, rebonding...) to my hair and I would say its quite healthy. I read the few reviews here on MUA and decided it was worth a try. It comes in a gel form, smells great and looks oh so promising, until I actually used it. After the first wash, my hair felt extremely dry. I thought I'd give it another shot and used it for 2 more days, now my hair feels like straw :( even after the conditioning! A total waste of money. I will stick to Asian brands which are considerably cheaper and so much more suited for Asian hair.

Concealers -Ettusais - Medicated Acne Concealer (Oil Free)

i have been eyeing this concealer for a while, but i was initially reluctant to purchase as i still have my estee lauder concealer. i was finally sold by the idea that it could cover and treat pimples at the same time... and i'm so glad i did! i have stopped using foundation because this concealer is able to cover up my blemishes well. i apply it on my face with a dabbing motion - i dab a bit on my fingers then dab it into my skin such that it looks pixelated and then continue dabbing till it looks natural. it also has a medicated smell, perhaps due to the anti acne ingredients in it. it makes me feel like its treating my pimples. i have seen an improvement with my skin condition but i am not sure if its due to this concealer. i also like that it has SPF12. and its not expensive at all! i would recommend this to anyone who has blemish prone skin like me.

Loose Powders -Bare Escentuals - Mineral Veil

i love this stuff! i'm currently using estee lauder double wear light and although i love the foundation for the staying power, it leaves my face feeling sticky - and this is where the mineral veil comes in. it helps my face stay matt and smooth, and most remarkably it lasts almost throughout the day and makes me feel comfortable. this is saying something as i have oily skin and without this mineral veil my skin is an oily mess by mid afternoon. the only issues i have with this product is that it has a slight tendency to cake up at acne prone areas of my skin and create small patches, so i have to be careful to apply just a thin layer. it also comes in a loose powder form so it can get pretty messy sometimes. but all in all, it does everything i expect a loose powder to. till i find something even better, its a definite repurchase!

I have been using this for 4 years now! the only cleanser that made me repurchase. It cleans very well, without drying out my face and making it feel tight and uncomfortable. However, my complexion stopped improving after a year of usage, and only maintained it. I have been trying to look for a better alternative but I have yet to find it. Until then, I will be sticking to this!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Posietint

I have been using Posietint for over a year now, and I must say that I love this blush for its ability to stay on for long hours! previously, I used an ordinary powder blush but it fell off within a few hours. With Posietint, I never have to worry that. I am a fair skinned Asian and I have to careful about applying Posietint, lest I apply too much and appear having clown cheeks. I like to use my fingertips to apply, instead of the recommended method of using the brush directly on the face. It helps me to control how much liquid to apply onto my face. I also love this as a lip stain - I do not need to reapply as many times. All in all, a wonderful and innovative product! Worth every cent IMO. Will be trying out Cha Cha Tint once this runs out :)

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Double Wear LIGHT Foundation SPF10

I have come to appreciate this foundation overtime - it lasts ALL day without any touch ups and it helps to control oil very very well. i have oily skin but this helps to control sebum secretion and it makes me feel more comfortable! coverage is not very thick. i used to dislike this because it made my skin sticky, but that has been easily solved with the use of a loose powder (from bare minerals, which i highly recommend too!). Very suitable for oily skin girls!

Moisturizers -Shiseido - Pureness Mattifying Moisturizer (Oil Free)

I bought a trial kit that came with a cleanser, toner and this moisturizer. I love how lightweight this moisturizer is - my skin feels so good and soft and the moisturizer absorbs into my skin almost immediately (This could be because my cleanser is a bit too drying for me). This is a really good moisturizer but a full size bottle is quite expensive - hoping to find a cheaper alternative that is equally as good! I have recently discovered the laneige moisturizing range and I think I'll try out their products before deciding if I should repurchase this. Another drawback of this product is that it isn't very effective in terms of oil control.

I got this a while ago online for a cheap price, so I decided to give it a try. It claims to be able to improve the condition of acne skin overtime. I have been using this for 3-4 months now and I apply it diligently before my toner, and after my moisturizer twice daily. However, it seems to have done nothing for me. :( I definitely will not be repurchasing this product.

I am really impressed by this serum. After just one application, I can feel an improvement in my skin - its softer and more supple. I have been using this for 2 weeks now and I apply it day and night before applying my toner and moisturizer. My skin tone has even out and redness has reduced. Most significantly, my skin feels so soft! It does not seem to do anything for the blemishes and acne on my skin but it does seem to help my other products absorb into the skin better. Have started using my medicated acne cream with this and I hope that One Essential will help to magnify its effectiveness - will update in a few weeks time. By far the best beauty skin care product that I've ever used, will definitely recommend! [edit] I have been using this serum for 3 months now, and my skin has never looked better! the redness has reduced, and my pimples have shrunk. somehow i am less prone to pimples now after using this serum. planning to use this for the long term and i hope to see better results!
